People in North America don't realize how successful the Lada Urban is. They have no idea that it's a huge success in Europe, and that the vehicle has one of the best 4 wheel drive systems ever designed. They sold well in Canada until the 1990s. Unfortunately, they left Canada, and because of North American safety requirements like Airbags and side impact regulations, had a hard time coming back. Nowadays, we need cheap 4x4's, but the car companies refuse to help. So many people refuse to buy cars, and waste the money. Many people belong to car rental groups today. Personally, I'd love to have a Lada Urban.

Until 2010 niva have manual steering,then they switch to servo (hidraulic).
