Yarn color: Sea Coral
Crochet hook: size H
manniquin head size : 21 inches

Are these stitch counts correct. I'm not getting same count and have been redoing for hours. I'm an excellent crocheter however everyone expresses instructions different. And I'm struggling to understand where the count gets off. Help please!
Hi, round 1 is 9HDC in total. Round 2 is 18hdc. It increases 9 stitches in every round. For this pattern, The first HDC is SC(by working SC loose in same stitch as joined about a height of normal HDC,technically it just counts as HDC post). To join it(I called it slip st to the top of beg.HDC) but Realistically, it joined with slip stitch to the first normal HDC made & slip stitch joined is count as stitch or loop for the beg.HDC(the loose SC)..I did this technique trying to hide the seam.... I hope it helps.
Or You can also use this pattern, after making a ring.Round 1: Ch 1 loosely(doesnot counts as stitch)Work 9 HDC in ring. Join with slip st to first HDC & pull it tight.=9hdc. Rnd 2: Ch 1 loosely, 2 HDC in same st as joined & 2 HDC in each st around. =18HDC. Rnd 3: Ch 1 loosely, HDC in same st, 2 HDC in next 1 st, (HDC in next 1 st, 2 HDC in next 1)repeat around.=27HDC & just follow the pattern on the video. Instead of doing loose SC in same st, just Ch 1 loosely & normal HDC in same st &Join with slip st to first HDC & pull it tight.

My pleasure. Yes sis it's normal at first. sore talaga kamay.hehehe. Try to relax yung kamay sis at pag gusto mo tight yung stitches, gamit lang smaller hook.

Are you working with one strand of yarn or two strands of yarn and you are using red heart for4 ply your working is that the same Rose I think it was Call the big rose Beautiful work thank you so much

Noticed you pull through first two and slowly pull through 3 loop. Just an observation, sweetie try rotating your hook facing downward instead of on its side as you pull yarn through the three loops and it will become one smooth movement. Hope you can understand me!

The first hdc is just a sc, right? Your not Y O like a hdc requires.
Please assist me. I bought the yarn like you used in every color. I normally would have finished two this morning but I'm getting different st counts.
For the simplest part, the round "tuit".

Hi, I replied to your first comment about the Sc..What do you mean round tuit?
Oh I so want to figure out where I'm not doing something right. Tuit goes around and around, usually 2 st in ch followed by 1 in the next ch repeat adding 1more sc to the sequence for each row.
Just rewind, the top and beginning giving me trouble. My stitch count gets off around 4 row I think.
It's the prettiest hat on the web. Can't believe it's free. Just your new for me and I'm not familiar with some of your techniques but always eager to learn
