Love this hat so much ! Making for a adult so my crown measure 7 inches with double strand yarn. Is that about right? Thank you for all that you do for us❤
It should be ok, depends on your head size
Any suggestions on how to make this hat not so tight. I made 2 and I even added extra increase rows and it still is tight. I love the pattern just can’t get it not so tight. Thank you
What does it mean "tight"? May be you mean a loosely texture? If so, you just need to use a larger hook

Use acrylic yarn, not Virgin Wool which is too soft, yarn must be thick and possibly in double yarn

It shows you using 1 strand of crochet then later in the pattern it looks like you're using 2 strands. Do you at some point add another strand ?
that's only why I'm shopwing the method on several hats with different yarn kinds, I made so many following this project. you don't need to add anything, don't worry

Can anyone tell me what yarn weight you used for your hat? 4 is too thin. I doubled it and I thought it was too thick.
To have a strong rigid texture and keep your hat in shape, you need to use a smaller hook size than usual. That's why 4 mm could be right. Make a small sample and decide. Happy new year 👍😊
It looks like heavy worsted (aran) still considered a #4 in the US.

Did you make the hat shown in the video with that yarn? No Hobby Lobby near me - I use JoAnn fabric stores. The yarn in the video looks thicker than a 4 worsted yarn.

This hat is Pretty. You don't finish it for the Greta Garbo style. I want to make that version. The version you end up with is the wide brim style which is very pretty. Please show how to finish the Garbo style one please. In English. How do you get it t o stay flipped in the back?
