Inflation is real and if you are in business you have to make a certain percentage for the math to math. If people don’t want to pay the correct price then you should not do business. Time and cost is a price we pay for your service

Some people don't get the price, but as a baker, you have to add the cost of the ingredients, the time spent, and where you live, and you have to make sure you are profiting or you'll be in a really bad situation. This price is valid for the target customer. Everyone might not agree, but the customer will pay. And those cakes look heavenly.🤩
Farmers markets aren’t like they use to be…affordable. I get some ppl sell to make a living and then there’s others who sell because they have a passion and enjoy sharing with ppl at affordable prices. I sell a version of this cake for $6 for me it’s about the baking I enjoy it but wouldn’t open a bakery so farmers market it is.

Mine too even though it’s worth it…. I sell slices of my from scratch pound cakes for $7 plus it has cream cheese icing and some don’t want to pay that they want to still pay $5 and my slices are huge 😮😅🤷🏽♀️

I initially questioned if they would sell (hello doubt and fear) and was ready to lower my prices just in case, but thankfully I trusted my products and ignored the fear. The value was seen and I was able to charge what was fair for me AND my customers 🙌🏽
12 dollars for one slice is kind of over priced you can get a whole cake with a couple more dollars
Maybe 10 in my area, I try to give my customers a break since everything is soooo expensive here in Cali🤷🏾♀️

Yeah I see people reselling veggies and apples like they grew them (including cauliflower they claim they grew in July in Houston)
@@Houstonian343yep, common “scam” for lack of a better word, is farmers markets just reselling grocery produce.
I’m thankful my area is able to still have farmers who can grow produce and sell to bring in some income. So many people just aren’t able to.
