Good review. Got these in only 2 days (Canada)! But I’m waiting for my YAW3 motion chair next week, on which to mount these. They’re very solid and heavy. Can’t wait!
Hey man, Appreciate the review! I picked up a set of Honeycomb Charlie pedals as I already had the Alpha and Bravo, I have to say I am kind of disappointed in how they feel. The rudder axis feels very gritty and difficult to actuate, even after using the knob to loosen the tension. Also, I'm not sure I see them being used for anything outside of GA airplanes if I decide to fly rotorcraft or driving. All of that to say I am now researching some alternative pedals and the Winwing's came up. After a month since the review, are you still overall satisfied with your purchase? Had any other issues come up outside of needing to tighten the screws down a bit more, and would you still recommend them for someone who's new to sim flying?
@@Blinky-Lights hey man, yup I would still recommend it for beginners and even for pro simmers. This is one solid set of pedals. The damper system still works flawlessly and feels great at all levels...I keep it highly dampened like 3 notches below max. Smoothness is great and I haven't seen a need of putting any nullzone in the sim. Brake axis feels awesome like I mentioned in the review. For your reference I have been flying the fenix and a lot of GA including comanche with this set of pedals and they have felt great for all applications. I have not tested it for helis as I have no real experience there but overall, still a happy customer after a month or so of extensive use. Let me know if you have any specific questions or need other help. I have heard charlies are not that great and the only ones that do well are the tpr pedals but they are obviously way way more expensive than these without dampers. I think this product is at the pareto front in terms of price, feel, build quality, etc.
Hello, and thank you for your video! A question: ( before connecting Orion 2 Damper pedals, to FS2024, did you have to update the ORION Firmware and software from the Winwing website? Thank you and all the best!!!
Hello, I received your message I want to thank you! I updated the Firmware and calibrated the Orion 2. Now everything is ok! Thanks again ! All the best!!
@@AirborneGeek When launching SimAppPro it asks for a bunch of directories (folders) for various MSFS 2024 files. Is there any guidance on what to select for each of these?
I'm from the UK and the Winwing store only shows "Orion" rudder pedals. Do you know if this is the same product? Or is there definitely also a "skywalker"? If so, I guess it must not be available in the UK yet 😞
Ah its ok, I see on their site now that they changed the logo from Skywalker to Orion. It doesn't mention version 2 though, so I will do a bit of digging first. Don't want to end up buying these if a new version is about to come in the UK
@@Blinky-LightsVery very solid product, but I was disappointed with their after purchase support. a customer shouldn't wait a month for his reply regarding a brand new product that is not operating correctly.
Just purchased. Cant wait!!! great video too. Always nice to hear glowing reviews from a real pilot.

Excited for you! I'll look up that chair too

I have these rudders as well. Do you know how to assign the breaks to the pedals? I've been struggling with this.
Left brake axis and right brake axis in settings
You will find left and right brakes if you search for 'brake' in control settings

@AndyPerry1972 I believe they have only one version which is this one

do share flight sim setup, am from ndia too, building a sim setup soon, would love a full depth video on it. buying this soon
Will do man...that video is coming soon. Just waiting on some more parts
Does it work with airbus 320?
Yes, works perfectly
how are you going to deal with the dust once you set this up completely?
I cover my yoke, throttle and rudder with a cloth cover when not using it
I dont really need to, since I already got them :)
Haha good deal...it is amazing
Where you from?
India
MSFS ground friction model is one of the worst I have ever seen. X Plane all the way.
@@Rahul-zl8xj idk about xp but yes haha
Basically a copy of the thrustmaster pedals
I don't think so...they are both very different designs altogether
they more look like virpil ones, cheaper and better
Agreed
I bought MFG's v3 rudder pedals - very disappointed with customer service.
Sorry about that...For winwing it was amazing. If it is still within return period you can probably swap?
What's going on with them? I have been eyeing the MFG's compared to the Winwings as I'm considering returning my Honeycomb Charlie pedals.
