- Nickelodeon has a brand new logo with the return of the iconic orange splat! Not only that, but the general presentation on the TV channel has dramatically changed. We have new Nick bumpers and fun animations, marking the start of the next era. Is it a step in the right direction?

Nickelodeon wouldn't be a special cartoon channel without the iconic splat logo. Finally! Nick choose a wise decision to bring the logo back to where it belongs.

The Splat logo is childhood for so many of us. I'm glad they brought it back. And the fact that they showed 90s bumpers makes it even better.

They mixed the current logo with the classic Splat logo. I like it.

Best of both worlds. I wonder if they'll get creative with the splat aspect like they did in the 80s and 90s. I mean, we got the logo on the 3d dino's shades after all, why shouldn't they get creative with the logo? The splat can be morphed into literally ANYTHING and that's something I really liked about the old Nick logo in the 90s and 2000s.

So you only approve of it for nostalgic purposes? I could say the same thing about Toy Story 5, Avatar 2, Raven’s Home, Shrek 5, etc. “I don’t need original content because I just care about nostalgia!” This is just another soulless, cash-grabbing reboot waiting to happen.
@@TheDaximusYT Shrek 5 isn’t confirmed though, i doubt it’ll actually happen.
I did like Avatar 2 though, and while Toy Story 4 might’ve been alright, I wouldn’t call it fully unnecessary and bad (it did win the Best Animated Feature Oscar).
As long as they have the same writers for 5, I’m confident it’ll be good. Seeing more of Forky as well as Ducky & Bunny wouldn’t hurt
@@RB01.10 It’s most likely in production at this current moment. All of the cast are on board, and if it’s hasn’t yet, it’ll start before this year comes out. But the point is, I’m tired of these cash-grab sequels and reboots. Doesn’t anyone care about the original content now that we should receive? I mean, look to 30 years in the future. Are we still just going to rely on a Fresh Prince Of Bell Air 5th reboot, or actually make some content right now? Because it could be looked back upon in a few decades and be rebooted, as shows of the 80s and 90s are currently.
I love that brand-new Nickelodeon Style, it's iconic and nostalgic, just less oversimplified.
I just want original content! Enough with the nostalgia already!

I'm starting to love the new Nickelodeon splat logo. It might be a new era for 'The first kids network,' but it's worth it.
Personally, I never hated the new logo they made in 2009, but I will say, I'm digging this new one. Mix of the old with the new

I really like the path Nickelodeon is taking, its acknowledging how much the entire channel itself has been through and bring nostalgia to many people who grew up with.
I grew up with Spongebob, Kenen & Kel, and Ren n Stimpy and other cartoons (I'm 15 and I watched a lot of the old shows so im not that old). So seeing the splat return kinda makes me happy and have faith in Nickelodeon more.
Loved those!
But don’t forget My Life as a Teenage Robot (criminally underrated), Amanda Show, All That, Rugrats, Wild Thornberry’s, well as Avatar (Korra I even liked as well ).
The 2012 TMNT was good too.

Probably the best era since the original 2009-11 start of the rebrand. It feels like finally a true return to form. A combination of modern oversimplification and retro over-detailed design is perfect for the 2020s. This feels right at home with CN’s rebrand, as youth-focused television networks are realizing that oversimplification wasn’t the way to go. Also, nice idea for the new name. “Re-splat” just feels right.
Oversimplifying never was the way.
All what matters is getting new and original nick cartoons that'll become popular instead of forgotten and get moves to Nicktoons

Seriously, ENOUGH with just live actions and spin-offs… Nick needs some new and original content (even if I may not be into them… considering I am not a kid anymore, at least be something good for today’s kids). They have to bring back the cartoons with the same and exciting vibe from the 2000s-early 2010s.

I honestly love it, it felt like my childhood was reborn. This is what a Nickelodeon logo was made to look like as a return for the modern era but in splat form as the re-splat era.

This is a good start. My thoughts, it's looks good.
Nickelodeon is gonna go through a massive revamp over the next couple years and this is only the beginning.

Agreed,they need stop relying on SpongeBob and Loud House alot. They also need to take a second attempt at reviving a few more 90's-2000's Nickelodeon properties like The Mighty B!,Clarissa Explains It All,Kenan and Kel,El Tigre,My Life As A Teenage Robot,Danny Phantom,and Jimmy Neutron in movies/specials and reboots ,like they did with Rocko's Modern Life,Legends of The Hidden Temple,Invader Zim,All That,and Hey Arnold! in the late 2010's,since the Rugrats reboot is doing well in streaming and with the upcoming Ren and Stimpy Comedy Central reboot and Avatar movies starting in 2025.
Hopefully MTV does the same thing and stop relying on all day “Ridiculousness”

Tbh the loud house was at the very least decent on its two first seasons, it was like after 4 episodes of season 3 or less that it started to get wacky, until mid season 3 and up which is just boring

Nickelodeon was not only special for cartoon channel. Of course, Nickelodeon made decisions that bring splat back.
First Pizza Hut, then Burger King, and now Nickelodeon. I also love seeing those logos coming back in retro modern look.

It just makes sense for Nick to have a splat logo. I also think the new version actually looks nice.

Now to see if NickToons did the same thing. I’m sure they have. I haven’t watched NickToons in a long time. That was my favorite channel to watch when it was NickToons Network.

I think this is the first time I've been curious and excited about Nick in at least 10 years! It seems there's a bunch of new shows premiering this year that actually sound interesting, too! I'll have to check them out. 😃

I LOVE IT!!!!, IT OOZES WITH PERSONALITY AND IT FEELS LIKE EARLY 90s TO MID 2000S NICK WHILE STILL BEING NEW!!!!, also it’s nice to see a 10/10 rebrand because now every rebrand is boring and gets rid of the personality and looks like a tech company.

I like it! It really feels like they are trying to add a little more personality into their brand in order to stand out more, compared to the minimalist nature of other brands.

What I love about this rebrand is that it has the best of both worlds. Balancing the current age of Nick while also paying homage to it's golden age.

This is really cool! The splat logo was something defining and Interesting to set Nickelodeon apart from the other networks and as a kid I loved that. It's nice to see the splat logo make a comeback as an adult.

If they want to save money, they should just shutter the Nicktoons Network as well as Teen Nick.
Does anyone even watch those channels anymore ? Both are on a third string cable package that less and less people are willing to pay for. Especially since those channels just basically air reruns of shows anyway and you can find them on Paramount + as well. And why throw money at those networks when they’re both as I said on an extra cable package ?
Similar to how Apple discontinued the iPod last year. It became obsolete to have your music on a separate device when you can have everything on your phone now.
I think this is a great change. Also funny thing is I was looking up pinky and the brain theme song on RUclips and then this video popped up so I don’t know what that means.

I’v always been a Nick kid growing up and even watched when they had the splat before 2010. The logo they had since 2010 was not bad too, but I like they’re kinda going back in time with a revamped splat logo. I’m curious to see if they will eventually make it to where Nicktoons, Nick Jr, TeenNick and NickMusic will all have the same logo. The logo looks pretty good

At the end of the year, we can all say that this new Nickelodeon rebrand and the return of the splat are a slight step up from 2022 when it comes to animation. Because this is something we waited for so long.

You know I am a actually very happy with the orange splat returning, but I have mixed feelings about it although I mean it’s no original logo but I’m happy with what we got

While I love the new designs and animations, I think Nick is focusing more on the past than the present or the future. They are only trying to profit off of 80s and 90s kids who grew up with the channel. The only people that the return of the old bumpers appeals to, are adults and young adults, and that is not Nick's demographic. They attempted the same thing with NickRewind and it died a slow painful death. The new logo is pretty good though :)

To be fair, I have this feeling in my gut that tells me that subsequent generations won't see television anymore. So this might be a valid strategy.

I've been waiting for them to do a splat again since they changed the logo in 2009. I did always like the 2009 rebrand but they have easily had the splat with the new font. And these new idents look amazing! They have fantastic animation and editing
The splat could be a little bit bigger, but overall I'm just glad it's back.
I def think Nickelodeon is on the right track!I actualled tuned into some of their newer shows, like The Astronauts and Are You Afraid of the Dark? reboots, and they were fantastic! Def excited to see what they have in store
