What is awesome about the B1R Lancer in my opinion is the fact it can easely be repaired reusing part of other aircraft including newer & older models from various classes. Of course its efficiency will depend on what is avaibalbe but this simple feature makes it one of the most versatile plane ever built!
Ai/remote piloted drones are the future of volume warfare, the NGADs will be extremely powerful and will transcend the fighter role and act almost like a command center, being able to date fuse with not only the drones it'll fly with but the F-35 and share important information to create an almost seamless stream of whatever the pilots need to know. They will be the most survivable fighter aircraft ever built and will be able to fight in the most hostile environments where older aircraft like say an F-16 or F-18 would be more vulnerable, the NGAD would be able to fly through, evade and spoof enemy air defenses and radars. I could see them being used, not to engage other fighters head to head but to destroy things like air defenses, communications stations and radar facilities so that their drones and other aircraft like the F-35 can fly essentially uncontested in enemy airspace, engage enemy fighters and ground units without the worry of missile defenses, in theory anyway. Their effect would be similar to that of the F-117 and it's role in Desert Storm doing exactly what I laid out.
@@captaincumrag42069 I don't think remote piloting is a serious investment at the moment, at least not remote piloting in the way most people think (predator and reaper drones). It will instead be semi-autonomous drones that take orders from a central command aircraft and then fulfill their task in identifying, and eliminating air targets 100% autonomously. Almost like a CIWS which locks onto anything in the air and then fires when orders are given.
@@captaincumrag42069 oh I just forgot- US plans to maintain its F-35 until 2070’s, while US said they plan to produce like 2000 more F-35s by 2044 if I remember correctly

agreed - the V-280 is the new Army long range assault aircraft that will truly revolutionize their missions, especially in the Indo-Pacific theater. Sadly, the Raider design would have sever fatigue and maintenance issues and rattle the fillings out of the occupants.
A lot of these are either wholly speculative to the point of fictionality (Kingsnake) or competition losers (Lockheed's tanker, and some of the helicopters. Needs some editiing.
great info, but there is a lot left out. 1. NGAD is already doing test flights for over a year. ever wonder why the navy can't identify the UFO of catch it, lock on to it, or out run it? it's because the NGAD is better all-around than current 4th or 5th gen fighters. 2. the us has an unknown number of MH-X "Stealthhawk" variant of the Blackhawk helicopters. 3. I suspect that the SR-72 has been around and in active service since at least 1999, when the US retired the last SR-71. why would you retire the world's best spy plane, if you didn't have something better to replace it? its just that the SR-72 is probably at the end of its life span, and there is something newer (SR-73?) that will be replacing it soon. the SR-72 "Son of Blackbird" or "Aurora" or whatever you call it has been around for quite some time. it was first proposed in 1985 and was accidentally leaked in early 1993. the project was renamed and covered up again. new planes take long to work out all the design flaws and integration issues. So if Aurora was first flying in 1993 and they retired the blackbirds in 1999, that is about a 6 year development windows to work out the kinks of the SR-72. which is about right. compare it with the F-22 which first flew in late 1997 and went full production in 2005. which is 8 years, but they built a lot of Raptors. the SR-72 would be limited to maybe 10-20 planes tops. Lockheed only built 15 a-12s and 32 blackbirds. 4. after the war in Ukraine, i expect the US to invest heavily in drones of all types, especially cheap suicide drones. Stealth drone like the RQ/180 and the RQ/170 sentinel. X/74b, XQ-58A. 5. USAF or US Space Force may also get weaponized version of the X-37b. nothing like orbital bombardment to put warheads on foreheads. since russia has pulled out or broken the current SALT agreements. the US could put weapons in space at any time.
USA is already in possession of large drone numbers, the army is also producing fighting robots in great numbers, they will be able to perform the most dangerous tasks to keep humans out of harms way.
NGAD isn't a plane. It's a design initiative (technically 2 initiatives because the Navy and Air Force each have their own) that's working multiple different aircraft for different roles.
If we know about them, this means they already working on the next generation version! It’s crazy to think the F22 is 26 years old! Think hard about that! Trust me folks, no fighter aircraft in the US arsenal will ever have canards. Even the Navy, with it's fascination with dangly, pointy, sometimes fleshy protrusions, will not fly a fighter with canards.
Better be careful how you use the term " Replace the F-22 " So, maybe it lacks some sensors and networking capability of other fighters ..but dont count out the king of the jungle, just 'cause he has one cracked tooth. 😮
Is it just my connect the dots skillset but did the thumbnail aircraft display look very similar to the display on the beam in the crypt of Seti 1 in Abydos Egypt =3k years old, of various technologies.
The B1s and B2s will be retired as the B21s come into service. (B2s will likely get replaces first due the fact that we bought too few of them to bring the price of spare parts down to reasonable levels.
Trillions for design/development/testing, trillions more for production, and more trillions for operational. Where is the budget for all that? Show me the money.
Speculation. Klickbait. The Sikorsky program was canceled by the Navy. The X-94 was a one off testbed. SB-1 was also canceled. Picture of KC-X is one of KC-130.
They forgot the sky warden which few ppl are talking about specifically designed for supporting special operations missions and of course the 280 Valor. The SR-72 is real and did they also mention the B-21 Raider?
The F-36 is actually just an updated version of the F-16XL. The XL was developed back in the late 1980's as a version of the F-16 with increased weapon payload and extended range. BTW the F-36 will not be produced.

Very cool list, especially the F/A-XX fighter jet!
Since US plans to produce only like 250 NGAD’s, I think it’s safe to say that AI drones might take the role in the future

Good day thanks for the support and help 🙂
You missed a bunch of real planes like the ch53k and the v280 (and many others). Instead included a bunch of fictional planes like the F36 and SR-72.
Sr72 might be real there working on a plane that is like darkstar so it’s not fiction
Yes, but USA actually work on a Mach 5 capable aircraft, not the SR72 though.
im not buying that the bone-r is a real thing either all i ever heard about it was it as a concept
Agree, it was pretty funny thy include the S-97 and not the V-280 Valor.
Especially since the former lost to the latter for the military contract.
Lmao The SR-72 is real!!!!

Did they? As far as I have heard, the fight is still on between the V280 Valor and the SB-1 Defiant?

I can't believe they're going to build the B-1 out of legos.
I like the content but the narrator, I have heard better narration from text to voice apps.
The raider did NOT win the competition.
Lockheed Martin beat Northrop/Grumman and Boeing to design the aircraft which resulted in the B-21 Raider.
Didn't the Raider helicopter lose out to the Valor by Bell in the competition months ago?
