Why does Isreal feel the privilege to kick Palestinians out of their homes and occupy their land. The ongoing occupation of West Bank and blockade on Gaza have led people to resort to extreme measures in hope of change. I came to know you through the videos of Peter Santanello. I then subscribed to your channel. I was waiting for a video from you. I am not Jewish, but I have many friends whom I consider my family in Israel. I just yesterday heard from a former student of mine (I am a teacher) who is now a dear friend that lives in Israel. I was very worried that I had not heard from him or his family for a week, but he texted me yesterday that they were safe. I was walking in the street in my town in Oklahoma when I read the text and I stopped and just cried in the street. I would like to know what else I can do besides denounce the horror and terror. I stand in total solidarity with the people of Israel, and I send all my love and prayers.

It's incredibly sad to witness such barbaric actions in 21st century. I'm not naive, I try to stay informed and aware there are several conflicts around the world that do not make sense to normal people, but this just completely defied any logic and was just as evil as possible. As an atheist, I don't see how anyone could justify the horrific actions of the Hamas, and I feel so deeply for those affected and the jewish community as a whole. Spreading a message of positivity such as yours during such a time just demonstrates the unabating kindness of yourself and your people. 🇮🇱
I personally can think of plenty of ways that Israel's kindness to Gazans and Palestinians has abated over the years. If you're curious, feel free to google something like "Israeli soldiers IDF kills palestinian child children" and you'll see great examples of the long history of the kind of dogged inhumanity Israel and its jewish people are capable of showing to mankind. Obviously not all jewish people and not all israelis are evil, but when people choose to lump jews and israel and the jewish community together, they must also take on the decades of atrocities committed on Israel's behalf (which it has done with impunity by using arguments of its own victimhood and oppression time and time again). For the record, Hamas actions are reprehensible and should be condemned as well. Both groups are war criminals.

I've read quite a few texts on the bridging of theology and world-politics, but none that focus on the Islamic world.

I am a Jew in Israel. My first and emotion is strongest anger. And I can tell you that everyone but everyone is angry. Yet on Sunday I attended a brit. I know of two weddings that have been held this week. On Shabbat there will be a Bar Mitzvah and the family will celebrate. We are angry and we will fight back, and we will win but what we choose is life. Not Just to live (survive) but to life! - to celebrate, to love rejoice, to care and to love. I thought about you watching all this and was glad that you're now in TX. What's going on is just so awful. However, I think when you're ready what would be great is meeting with a Rabbi and an Iman who are very knowledgable about what's going on over there and really discussing and explaining that to the rest of the world, who don't really have any way to relate or understand the background, what is happening and why. We all need to spend more time getting together and discussing ourselves and our differences and learning to laugh at it all. Its so much harder to hate someone when you know them.

Shloime I love your videos. I am a Jew, I love Israel and the our people. Of course I want my friends who live in Israel to be safe and secure. But I am very conflicted. I was raised a largely secular (I am now somewhat more practicing) Jew in the liberal/socialist tradition here in NYC. Everything my Jewish background has taught me is to stand up for the opressesed, to speak truth to power, to shield and protect the innocent and voiceless.
In its blind rage, the Israeli government and public are conducting massive attrocities, human rights violations, and violations of international law in Gaza. Turning off water and power and dropping bombs on 2.2 million people, half of whom are under 18, is heinous and barbaric. I don't believe in, as GW Bush once said, "my country (in this case people) right or wrong." Now you may say Hamas knew Israel would retaliate and that it hides its military capablities in civilian areas, schools, hospitals, and private homes. That is true but, it is Jewish pilots and Jewish soldiers who are pushing the button and condeming the innocent to die. And they are doing so in my name as an American Jew. Furthermore, it is Likud and the right-wing that created this Golem by bolstering Hamas (look it up they were supported by Israel in the 1980s) to undermine the PLO and by refusing to negotiate a settlement.
In this war the IDF may (or may not) destroy Hamas. If they do, I am afraid of what we Jews will create. The sons of those Gazans killed by bombs will never forget what we did to their families, friends, and loved ones in the 2023 war. They will continue to lash out in rage. They will continue to plan heinous attacks against Jews. The cycle of violence will continue. We need peace and a dipolmatic settlement. I am so, so, so tired. I wonder what you think about what I've written. I am guessing you will disagree with some of the things I have said, which is fine. I hope you respond.

We pray for the peace of Israel, protection of the Jews around the world , Godly wisdom, knowledge, understanding, might, courage, discernment, revelation, healing, etc. Praying to our God for a quick resolve of this war. You do know that all Christians there are Arabs right? Alot of them also live in Gaza. Churches where Jesus was are being destroyed by Israel, and Christians home are taken away and given to foreign Jews.

I fully support the prosperity and growth of the Jewish people. It was a Jewish Rabbi who showed me that christianity is not like Judaism. I feel so free now. He changed my life. I prayed for G-d to lead me on the right path and he sent a Jew! I never in my life thought anyone would change my mind about what I believed to be the truth.
