I don't usually play horror games, but Darkwood was a special experience for me. You nailed pretty much everything I love about it! I doubt I'll ever enjoy another horror game as much as Darkwood, it's just so unique and great at what it does. Heck, I've played Silent Hill 1 and 2, and, while I still think they're fantastic games, Darkwood is easily my favorite!
As a frequent player of this game I can conform that the soundtrack and ambiance of the game restricts me from playing more than two in game nights. 10/10 game would recommend, if you like a challenge
Looks like an intense game! Having the option to turn off crowdfunded content is a really nice touch, I wish more kickstarter games had that feature because as you say it can really ruin the immersion. Seems like a well thought out game overall. I noticed the editing in the video got an upgrade too!
@@TheHiddenChest I watched the whole play trough on RUclips 8h I think. The best I could find was Japanese with english closed captions on youtube. I would definitely play it if it was on GOG and in english.

I'm not a fan of horror, at all. But it's nice to see something other than jumpscares in the genre!
