    I'd like the camera to zoom out in couch co-op when someone falls down a hole. The way it works now is, the camear follows the falling person causing total party kills.

      I wish it zoomed out PERIOD. I can count how many times I've died to a goomba trying to land on the ground cuz I couldn't see

    Would love to see more features to help play testing. Such as the ability to create a “breakpoint”, where you play from a specific saved state of a level (we’ve all had to add extra on/off blocks to test a section for example) and the ability to move the camera while play testing so that you can see what’s spawned in and what’s not. And an easier to use maker mode, so that you don’t constantly have to move semisolids about to prevent stuff deleting itself or to place an item on top of the semisolid. There’s a lot of stuff that’s made simpler for casual makers, but that actually makes it more difficult to make complex stuff. So this could be implemented in a “pro” mode.
    But I would also like the ability to “program” your levels. You could have a simple UI to create if-then statements and link objects together - if this block is hit, blow up this wall; if player is standing here drop down these enemies. No need for complicated, clunky and limited contraptions and so much more customisability.

      Ooh extremely technical stuff! These would really bring Mario Maker up a peg or 5. Though splitting that into Pro and casual modes would be a necessity for sure, as to not intimidate and scare off new builders. Amazingly creative, practical, and well informed ideas regardless!

    I feel like the only reason you don't carry power-ups over from levels in Super Worlds is because of some items not being in other themes. [ ie. Tanookie Leaf, Cape Feather, Boomerang Flower ] Since the themes in Super Worlds can switch over to other ones in the next levels problems might arise. I definitely think there can be a work around to this though.

      A good work around would be having the only items you can store/earn from a toad house be the super mushroom, fire flower and star.

      simple, add 5 slots for powerup storage for each style, and whenever you enter a level where the powerup isn't compatible, it automatically goes to storage. You can use the powerup any time you want, and you can enter compatible levels with the powerup.

    What I would like to see is a composer tool, ala Mario Paint, that allows you make songs and change the background music in your level. Along with posting your own songs to Course World and downloading them for use in your own levels.

    Number 1: a more creative community. I'm tired of seeing the same old crap, spam, rushes, etc
    Also, Nintendo needs to drop the restrictions

      Really hard to both allow freedom and raise quality. You will get more creativity with less restrictions, and you're going to get more copies and more garbage.

      What we really need is keyword search, and keyword filtering. You could choose to look at new levels that don't have 1-1 in the title.

      I would love it if boos and hearts actually did something like you need at least 10 hearts for your level to be played in endless mode / versus mode but if your level has 100+ boos then it wont be played in endless / vs and obviously you if have like 900 hearts and 60 boos the hearts will counteract with the boos.

    honestly the best way of making everyone happy in the aesthetic department would be to keep the themes we have and allow a 'mix' feature that blends features of 2 themes so that the resulting 'theme' is a mix between the two. Like Desert and Sky could be that dusty sky variation. ground and sky is mountain. ground and castle is volcano. snow and underground is the icicle cave. castle and underwater is water castle. underwater and ground is beach. I'm willing to go on, heck, continue it in the comments, but the point is that there are so many combinations barring duplicates like ground + ground that each new theme will add WAY more. And, it also brings back experimentation: What happens when you combine Sky and Underground? The combinations could have certain predictable rules, too. Ground is a blank slate that straight up gives you themes you've always wanted: Mountain, Beach, Volcano, Autumn, Graveyard, maybe Tanks with the airship, and snow, desert, and ground are harder but you could make an argument for winter, summer and spring. Of course, it would be a LOT of work, but the combinations possible would stop clamoring for new themes somewhat, at least.
    Oh, and make rising water/lava/night stuff compatible with all themes. Lava in the water castle.

    My ideas:
    -Bigger courses
    --Vertical areas shouldn't be a seperate option
    *-GET. RID. OF. EXTRA. STYLES.*
    -The ability to chose what modes (Endless, Multiplayer Co-op, Multiplayer Versus) your course shows up in
    -Minimum and maximum number of players
    -Improved music control (More songs, where they play)
    -Ability to remove player abilities (i.e. jumping, running, walking a certain direction)
    -Optional Reserve Box
    -Attach playable characters to courses
    -Being back shaking (drop-down menu still available for easy access, maybe fills in as you experiment?)
    -BRING BACK THE WEIRD MUSHROOM YOU DIRTY COWARDS
    -Actually regular content updates (a handful of items roughly once a month)
    -All items, enemies, etc. in all styles
    -More Course Themes
    -Course Theme variations (i.e. sand/ice/volcanic caves, different types of castle)

    The worst things about this game are the limits. I don't want a height, length, sub-area, or enemy limit in my levels. And that's just scratching the surface of all the stupid limits this game has.

      For height and length they could go the extra limit and give us more space but it cant go forever, mario maker might have infinite levels but not infinite storage, as for the enemies abd items they need to not have limits on those.

    Heck I think that power-up carry-over should be a feature in Endless mode, make it that the power up you end up with is put into a power-up bar that can hold max 3, then at the start of the next level it is revealed what style the level will be, and will gray out any unavailable power-ups and let you choose which you want to start with. It could break levels, but I think you could add mechanisms to help players determine if their level would be broken if played with a Leaf from the start, without adding the pain of having to clear the level with every power-up. I think being able to hold a maximum of 3 power-ups would be good that way there's not an infinite supply of P-balloons to break every SMW level out there.

      You could have an AI agent that could be programmed to mimic a basic player... I wouldn't give the player the ability to just utilize the AI whenever, because that might discourage real play testing, but what if every now and then a ghost Mario would spawn with a random power up and start playing the level in the background, just to suggest what a player could be doing.

      Or what if you had a full "play test" button that would simulate being in endless mode, complete with endless mode animations, and 3 random power up selection. This wouldn't replace the current method of uploading the course, but it would be subtly training the user base how to correctly play test their level. Maybe a play test would randomly initiate a multiplayer simulation?

      Fire and Ice levels are a super cool theme and have been in games like Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Deserts meanwhile could be an Oasis, or even a river! Like the Nile or something similar. I dunno about ghost house lava though, but why not right?

    3D worlds enemies are so unique yet they only chose like five of them for this game.. such a let down. Like where are the Blocksteppers, Madpoles, Ranmerheads, Flopters, Ty Foo, and all the other ones!

    You forgot the clear checks
    I swear to god they dont make any sense that I need to start from the beginning even when activated a checkpoint and then when I finnished from the start I need to start from the checkpoint

      Well, it KINDA makes sense. Imagine, there's a block later in the level you need a mushroom to break it. If the mushroom is only at the beginning of the level, the checkpoint being before the block, then the level would be unclearable from the checkpoint.
