No matter how many times I watch your videos I am so glad I found your channel. You never assume we know what we are doing and give us complete instruction from start to finish. I think anyone can follow what ever project you are making. Both of these ideas are great. I also like that you tell us to do what we are comfortable with. Pinning marking cutting what ever it is. I love my magnet for my seams and I do pin I even stitch slowly and never feel like I am being judged. I think that is I enjoy your channel so much thanks for another great project option.
I totally agree with you. I’m a long time quilter but I find I can learn something from Tiffany every time I watch one of her videos. I also love watching her mail opening videos, so many people love ❤️ her and send such great parcels. She has a great community following her which I find very inspiring 👵😍🇦🇺
She also amazes me with the speed she sews! Tiffany I’m also amazed how you manage to come up with so many new ideas and all while struggling with your math! Just goes to show anyone can do anything if they want to. You go girl 🥰🎶😺🧵🪡 Also thrilled that Scott is involved and helps you so much. ❤🎉 love from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Tiffany! Thank you for this very helpful video. It is easy to see now where the measurements of the cut pieces come from. You make these projects look so easy for a beginner. That has really given me ideas for baby quilts. I'll be digging out my charm packs and yardage soon! -Sally from MO
I like your videos! You don’t take too much for granted about knowledge of quilting. But you don’t speak like you’re talking to dumb people. Your giggle is contagious. You’re straightforward no nonsense, ‘git er done’ is wonderful and refreshing.
I always thought when you measure borders you would measure the center of the quilt top not the edge so that you aren't measuring a potentially stretched edge. It brings it back into square that way. I love this quilt, and with so many scraps I am going to make this one!
Well, the general way is to measure the center and 2 sides. Then go off that. I tried that a lot in the beginning. I can't say all, but most were within a quarter inch. So, after that first year of measuring and pinning, I started the way I do it. I have the same results as I did before. But less time wasted on measuring and pinning. As long as you don't stretch the top and borders, it should be square every time.
I love how you finger press these chains. So simple and and it saves a ton of time and anguish at the ironing board. I love how your brain works and your down home attitude as well.
Tiffany, I love these patterns! ❤ RUclips needs to add a LOVE button along with the thumbs up/down! I will definitely be using this as I make several baby quilts. I really enjoy watching and gleaning from your experience and knowledge. Thank you for sharing with us!
I want to make at least 100 of the baby quilts for Project Li nus😊 Maybe I will make a dent in my stash! You inspired me and lots of others---thank you! Fantastic teaching!
An easy quilty video ty. I liked the placemats idea of Christmas fabrics. And even babies need a bit of grunge 😂❤. Make it and they will come 😉 oh and when you said you did the math and it didn't come out for you change to " because its fabric "
Binging on Tiffany again! I’m loving your style of sharing, teaching, & ALL of your awesomeness! I love watching on a 65” screen. So much easier to see those little details that mean so much! THANK YOU🫶
You are a magic lady. Kind of lost you in the shuffle and had TKR surgery…wasn’t online too much. Lots of therapy and pain…just slowly getting my life back and starting to sew a bit. Just love what you are doing today. Be well and thanks so much!
Absolutely ❤ love these ideas! You really get my creative juices going, Tiff 🥰...thanks for the inspiration. I watch you do this & my mind says great! & then it says what if I did that...and another creation is ready to be drafted, measured out, yardage required determined, & off I go 🤩. ❤❤❤❤❤
Tiffany I love this ..2 options has inspired me to make both..and so simple. Thank you for all you do to make our quilting life so much fun. Have a great day.
Great use of charm pack and/or collection of 2.5-inch squares. I have an abundance of jelly rolls so I'm going to make a lap or twin size quilt. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome....fantaabulous....etc, etc, etc,,,[ l ran out of words, but well, you know ] Tiffany, just love to see you create....just goes to show that the creative side of your brain is in sync with the analytical side of your brain. Love to you and Scott and Thumper and all of your regular ''gang'' ... 💞
Definitely leaning towards the baby quilt. So cute! And so simple! And I have so many charm packs to use up! Sometimes I just need a brain-dead kind of project and this'll be it! Thanks, Tiffany!
Hello Tiffany Scott and thumper. I love your videos I look forward to them everyday and watch them over and over again I have learned so much from you please keep them coming
I made a small quilt with 30 - 8” squares and chain piece them all. It was so easy and most of the seams nested really nice. I was so proud of myself. Thank you for your great instructions.
What a great tutorial. I really appreciate your full and complete instructions as well as your fabric choices. I agree with you, that the fabric for your table runner and place mats is "kitcheny". So pretty. Thanks so much! I really am grateful I was told about your channel. Great videos!!!
Always enjoy watching and learning from your videos rather it be live or a replay. I need a new set of placements so gonna give this a go. Thanks again Tiffany for a great tutorial.
It keeps me sewing straight at .25 inch. Without it I mess up cause my eyes try to stare at the .25 mark on the needle plate and I end up sewing all wonky.
I love those ideas! No new babies coming anytime in the near future, but I'm definitely going to have to make a table runner and place mates. Thank you for another great pattern/tutorial!
These went together beautifully. My question is..when you attach your borders do you always put the long sides on first then the short sides? I have seen it both ways but I wondered is there like an industry standard for borders that you know of? Thanks. Nice job on these👍💕
I typically do sides then top and bottom. I don't think there is a standard. It just looks cleaner, I suppose. Most quilts that I longarm have sides then rop and bottom. So I would assume it's the most popular way.
Wondering how you like your Martelli rotary cutter? I bought one, then had to have multiple shoulder surgeries and couldn’t sew for a long while. Now I find that I’m not loving it, having trouble cutting through fabric without it skipping in places. Have you had any problems like this or do you have any tips for using that cutter?
Well the blade can be knicked or dull to cause skips. If it a new blade but still skips it could be your cutting mat with deep cuts, and may need a new one. Those are always my main issues.
Hope you can help, the Jo Ann store is closing, I live in a small town in Ohio, I don’t want to drive very far. Can you recommend a affordable on line fabric shop? Thank you
In the description below all my videos or on my about me page is links to all my trusted shops. I also shop Walmart online for fabric and Marshall Dry Goods too.
I have a question Tif, if you want your baby quilt soft and light….there is going to be a lot of sewing on this quilt and that can be heavy…..what would you recommend for the batting to make a quilt for a hot weather state ie Florida. Thank you dear lady.
I usually just put 100% cotton in baby quilts. I also put flannel backs on them. I've gifted many friends baby quilts with either a nice flannel back and top quilt or the cotton batting between the top and a soft regular cotton backing. I also lightly quilt them most times.
Im gonna try this one for sure. Thanks Tiff

I agree. Never too much instruction.
Thanks Tiffany for making it easier.

Our sew group donates baby quilts to the local small hospital. Definitely gonna do this baby quilt.

Morning Tiffany an Scott
Good Morning 😊
Love you videos and imagination. I was wondering how helpful the magnetic seam quite is.
It keeps me sewing straight at .25 inch. Without it I mess up cause my eyes try to stare at the .25 mark on the needle plate and I end up sewing all wonky.
Wonderful way to start you day
Love it, Ty.
I like them both, that baby quilt is awesome

Goodness. I had to go to the dentist. Missed the live! You Sound so
Chipper, did the itch go away!
This was a pre record. And nope, I still itch unfortunately 🙃

I’ve been hearing bamboo is good for hot weather states. Anyone have a suggestion?
Tiffany have you changed you blade to a titanium blade?
Nope not yet, I'll have to get some when I run out of what I have now.
Mini charms
Sometimes words just can't come out haha
Hey. I could make this with my binding left overs.
You could 😊
Hi. Do you have a video with how you do mitered corners?
