I've been trying too find..my FIRST..quilt!!!..THIS..is..it........I've..been..sewing..for..awhile......I'm..only 77..!!! Grandma...and..Mom..taught me...I..LOVE..sewing........THANK..YOU..!!x x Barb
I did a Halloween table runner like this. In the middle of the runner I pieced a square (18x18”) block that I machine embroidered “Happy Halloween” using an embroidery pattern, then placed the strips on both sides of that square. I think mine was probably more like 70” long though, because I have a longer table where I used it. So fun to use up those random left over scraps and make something fun. Thanks for sharing your great idea!
Hello Tiffany, quick project from start to finish. Very nice,I am going to try it after I get this king size quilt done. It will be nice to work on a smaller project. I really enjoy your videos. Have a good day.
Thank you for leaving your “at then end of the binding boo boo” in there!! It was helpful for me to watch how that could be fixed!! Just learning binding so it’s scary for me. Seeing you just regroup, repair and move on is a huge boost for my brain. If that makes sense haha. ❤
Love it. I need to make something to lay across my dad's antique dresser that I finally got but not sure what design to go with. It is going in my sewing room.
Thanks Tiffany👍 That runner is just so pretty, and the green is really special. Looks like rippling grass. As usual, you inspire me to get out of my comfort zone. Hope you and Scott and Thumper well and happy. ❤️🇦🇺
I like the table runner a lot 🤩. Very pretty. The green backing has a lot of blue tones in it, making it perfect for the binding. Thanks for the video 😊.
You are blessed for space that you can lay it out all flat. I can't do that due to a shortage of space. I do it in blocks (10" x 10" blocks) and then simply sew them together and then I don't mess about with the binding the way you do it. I turn it inside out. Booooom! done!!!
I really love how this turned out! It's so awesome to watch tutorials on my TV, but all I can do is hit the like or subscribe buttons, so I've got your voice echoing so I can share a comment! I really love your enthusiasm, take care of corrections, and allow for inspiration! I love it, every bit!!! ❤ Thank you!!!
I love your table runner. On a QAYG project with mirror design you can find the center and work your way out in both directions. Then any excess will be evenly divided on each side and you can add more strips to each continuing the mirror design. Thank you for a fantastic gift idea.
Ya I know. I wasn't originally gonna do a mirror look, I wanted to scrap the strips. They just didn't look right all messy though as you seen in the video haha. It's fun no matter the way 🙂
That’s awesome! I’ve been wanting to make one for my new table in my new tiny home. It’s going to have to be this one!! Thanks, Tiffany! Another amazing tutorial!!
Love this runner! I usually sew the binding onto the front side, then hand stitch it down on the back side, but stitching it the way you did would be a lot sturdier for something like a baby quilt or a table runner that will get laundered a lot more often than a large quilt. Thank you!
Ya it definitely holds up great being washed so much. I've not had anything hand bound so I'm not sure how that stays with quilts needing lots of washing
I was wondering about the green for the binding but you are so on point. It's great. I didn't even know the strips had green so it's perfect! I love watching you because it's a big help to me being so ridged. Thanks 😊
Thank you for sharing this with us. I am excited to try this, maybe for Thanksgiving 🦃. You are so talented and clever. This was fun to see it come together. You are an excellent instructor, you demonstrate and explain everything so well. I really appreciate it. Thank you again. 🎉🍀💖🤟🦓🇺🇸💡✂️🪡🧵
Thanks for the fun project and thanks for the reminder about nozzle clogs on the basting spray-I forgot the other day but I try to clear the nozzle by turning the can upside down after I am done using it and spraying until just air comes out. (Like you do for spray paint etc.) I have 5 baby/toddler quilts to quilt on my DM this weekend so starting off with your video to get into the sewing groove!
I noticed you own a juki...I use to have one, a table size. Commercial I no longer have it, but I am thinking of buying another. Great machines, love their quality sewing.
Yes I use a Juki TL-2010Q and Love it! I own 2 of them and I have a Juki HZL-F600 and a industrial for bags and mix heavy weight materials. Here is a link to the juki I mainly use for piecing shrsl.com/4e817
Absolutely gorgeous. I feel that pressing as you go along makes for a finer finish. Especially when gift giving and selling your items. I know personally I would not buy something that looks scruffy. Thank you for your tutorial, you are a great inspiration to me, I have had no training at all using a sewing machine I have only watched people sewing taking notes and now RUclips videos that I have learned the fab art of quilting and other sewing patterns and techniques ❤
Another ''beaut'' ....and BTW...the background music you use for the ''quick thru'' part is really nice....l usually can't stand the ''edgy'' music that others use. So, just one more reason why your videos are so enjoyable. 💟 Also,,,,l am a bit of a ''mad scientist'' both in the kitchen and the sewing machine....so l like your ''as you go along'' style. 💟
No, I just take my time and make sure I keep a consistent straight sew line and for shows I match the thread color to the binding. But there is no specific rules on binding for shows.
I love your videos. I can’t use basting spray because for some reason my long arm does not like it and I am continually breaking needles. It took me to wild to figure out that it was the spray.
Actually since this is done on a domestic it’s not a problem. I have a sit down long arm and my needles gum up with the basting spray. I love watching your videos as much as I love watching Donna Jordan’s videos
I see peace of mind, I love your tutorials, you are my inspiration for quilting!!! WIN
Thanks 😊
I love your work! wish I could sew all day too! greetings from the Netherlands
This runner makes me smile 😊
Excellent Tiffany, Karen B., Carol T. And Becca say doing a couple small projects, the feeling of accomplishment, helps get your sew jo back. 😀
So true!
Your are a super person! 🎉 thanks for sharing how we all make mistakes even the experts!

Useful. Going to work on changing a pants zipper right now.

Hi, Tiffany. I just found your channel and see that you are in Lake Havasu! You are my neighbor! I live in Bullhead City! I’m loving your channel. ❤❤❤
That's great 👍 just a hop, skip and a jump away 😊
Good choice on using the backing fabric as binding. Thanks for showing us how easy it is to QAYG a lovely table runner❣️
Thank you! 😊
Nice color combo and an easy table runner using up, strips.
Thanks Tiffany👍 That runner is just so pretty, and the green is really special. Looks like rippling grass. As usual, you inspire me to get out of my comfort zone. Hope you and Scott and Thumper well and happy. ❤️🇦🇺

I do the turn method as well on table runners.
The green was perfect for the pop! I love the end piece❤
Tiffany you make it so easy❤Love you.
You can do it too 😉
Thank you for sharing I was so unaware of the 1/4 inch 😂

I like your improv!
I learned a lot. Thanks.
The table runner is beautiful. I believe the jellyroll strips are from the Riley Blake line.
Ahhh good to know. There wasn't any guessable writing on what parts of the selvage I had haha
That’s awesome! I’ve been wanting to make one for my new table in my new tiny home. It’s going to have to be this one!! Thanks, Tiffany! Another amazing tutorial!!

Beautiful as always 😊. Can you tell us ; if I’m not mistaking, something different must be done for the binding of a show quilt … thanks.
No, I just take my time and make sure I keep a consistent straight sew line and for shows I match the thread color to the binding. But there is no specific rules on binding for shows.
Love this quick and easy project. A great way to use up extra fabric. What size was your binding?
I used 2 ¹/² like normal 😊
Love the topper! I agree with you on hand sewing! Not for me either!
I love your videos. I can’t use basting spray because for some reason my long arm does not like it and I am continually breaking needles. It took me to wild to figure out that it was the spray.
I'm assuming you have a baste first frame then 🤔 I hope you found a solution 😉
Actually since this is done on a domestic it’s not a problem. I have a sit down long arm and my needles gum up with the basting spray. I love watching your videos as much as I love watching Donna Jordan’s videos
Thank you 😊
Into Purple - should be the name of this table runner
Love this!! Thank you for sharing. What kind of rotary cutter is that? I'm new to quilting and have not seen this type before.
It's a Martelli Ergonomic Cutter shrsl.com/4bx6v
