I have used this technique successfully before but the way you describe it is so much clearer than the way I learned!!! I can’t wait to try this with a scrap string quilt I’m contemplating!!!
Thank you. Been sewing for over 61yrs but never quilted. I'm still using my Kenmore 385 I got 48yrs ago. I want to take all the of my granddaughter's clothing I've saved over the years and make her a quilt. With your technique I can finally do that. Wonderful easy to follow tutorial.
I enjoyed the video. I like your no-nonsense straight-forward style of presenting the information. I'm almost your age, so maybe you'll remember the old "Dragnet" show where Joe Friday often said, "Just the facts, ma'am." That's what your style reminded me of. :-) I'll be watching your other videos.
My goodness lady there is nothing wrong with your Monday brain LOL your work is so nice and neat. Would like to see more of it. Thank you... excellent demonstration.❤.... keep them coming thank you.
I am stunned at how simple this process is - always thought it was difficult to do. Your instructions are straight forward and visuals are easy to see. Keep them coming!
Thank you for your clear instructions. I appreciate the no fluff stuff in the way you present the information. It's enjoyable to watch. Take care and blessings to y'all.
Thank you for this tutorial. I like the idea of sew as you go but couldn’t figure out how to put them together. I very much enjoy your videos. Teresa, AZ
I’ve always thought it was hard to do, but your video instructions were really good. Also, it’s easier for me to FMQ on a smaller quilt sandwich. Thanks
Thank you. I agree this is a very precise presentation and very well explained. I too have watched other videos but your video showed and explained the steps in a simple way that made the whole process very understandable. Greetings from sunny Queensland,Australia.
This is the best tutorial for joining QAYGO blocks. I have twelve blocks ready to join. I did an online tutorial for them but was totally lost on understanding the printed instruction to join them. Been sat in a bag for over a year. Got to get working on them. Thank you.
Thanks so much for your videos. I've been sewing my whole life, but have only recently begun quilting, so I appreciate your down-to-earth, straight forward tips and style. This was a great 'how to' video.
Thank you so much for sharing this. This is the first video I watched where I feel like I understood what someone was talking about. I'm trying to finish my quilt and I just didn't know how to until now.
Yes ma'am, thank you so much! you are very good at showing and explaining exactly how to do it's ..just beautiful. You were excellent .. we could see what you were doing again thank you and God bless you I'm so thankful to know how to do this technique .... keep them coming!❤❤❤🥰
Me starte quilting and Google show me your videos , i run here to susbcribe because how soothing you are teaching and videos so simple . thank you is not enough for all you do for us beginners ❤❤ typing from Canada . blessing
Thank you, that was a very informative tutorial. I remember doing one many years ago, but I don’t recall it being so easy as the way you explained. I must try it again. Thanks so much.
Hi there 🌻 i just so glad that you popped up on my screen. I have been wanting to do this type of joining. Your explanation was brilliant and thank you so much for sharing your expertise. You took out all the “scare” out of joining the blocks 🌻
This has been a game changer for me a very new quilter. I spent ages sewing 4 blocks together with another tutorial. It was hopeless and I was giving up on that basis. Then I found your method it's given me the will to continue. Thank you so much.
I have a box of color-coordinated scraps that I've been saving for a project like this. Your instructions are very clear, and I feel that I'm finally ready to start working on it.
Thank you. This video was so helpful to me. I have avoided quilt as you go projects because I didn’t want the joining to look messy. Since I have a bunch of orphan blocks, I’ll try your method and see if my seams will be accurate and have things match up correctly!! Have a great week!
Thanks for this. I'm working on handquilting 20" squares with the plan to join them into a 100" square quilt, and this info is exactly what I need to get this all joined together.
Thank You! Like several other churches, our church quilting group (the "Crazy Quilters") makes quilts for charity. This looks like an easy way to create these gifts! 😊❤
Right?? First of all no apologies needed sometimes we just can’t put words together! Love your blouse I had those a yellow/ white one years ago. Please don’t say your old I’ll be 72 in a blink sew I’m there. Love those tops! Just what I was looking for, you made my day! One of the first quilts I made was a disappearing 4 patch that I turned into a QAYG 😂No pattern for QAYG I had saw it once and remembered! Then I forgot and have 50 plus blocks of sunflowers and 50 plus blocks of the green multi colored backing! Yes yes yes now I can finish! Thank you sew much for reminding me, must write these things down! ❤️ 🤗
We love those striped shirts, they’re our favorites. Between the two of us, we have a bunch of different colors! Paulette just turned 72 a week ago, so she’s right there with you! So glad you can get your sunflowers together now. Happy sewing! 🌻🌷

This technique is great! I just had a project finished. But I did not like the joint. I had two quilted pieces together, so the joint is so bumpy. Thank you! We really appreciate that! To do it with a wider piece, you would have to do it a bit differently, because you would then need to add batting to the strips. With this method you don't need to because the blocks butt up against each other to fill the gap.
