I am actually watching this in Sept. 2023 and while I may be late, it is perfect for me since I just bought Halloween yardage and so I need time to make my own layer cakes. I hope this works for me.
My brother lives in Bullhead City, and told him next time I came down the I wanted to go to Lake Navasu, I live in Corvallis, OR. I like to quilt like you
It is amazing how you think, and thank you for sharing you visions with us. I'm glad I watched the fast-paced video first because you answered all the questions here.
You do an amazing job teaching this. I feel like I can do this thanks to your clean explanation. Thank you so much. We need yiu to,repeat ourself a bazillion times.
Thank you so much for the way you make your videos. The way you teach is the way I can learn! Absolutely amazing....Great content, you are so creative!
Wow! I just saw your chain-sewing method tutorial video first (at RUclips’s suggestion), then came here to see your detailed measurements video. I think I may use 1.5” and 2.5” as my measurements just so I don’t have such skinny seams at the outer edges. But your pattern is beautiful, so now I am a new subscriber. Thanks for this free pattern!! ~Diana K.
I like your decorations on your sewing machine. I’m a newbie in quilting and have so..much to learn. I’ve been at this now off and on learning measuring w/ husband help with my new rulers, took up sewing in Jr High School, a dress and an apron. Prefer quilting, the simple way. Anything I can learn for everyone on U-tube is so..helpful to me, and I’m late in age( 60’s) learning all this, all my other Baby Boomers have got there learning ahead of me. But..I thank you for all your help. Trying to get use to math lol, with measuring. Happy Quilting dear.
I'm new at this, so I'm very interested in everything out there. So glad u r a easy going teacher. I need to stop the video alot but don't feel bad cuz ur right back where I leave off. Thank you for the way u go about it REALLY....✌❄
The pink version would be absolutely beautiful sewn into an entire quilt. If you have extra fabric finish it, I would love to see it. Thanks for sharing and teaching us. I’m actually going to measure my Dresden template to see if that is 2” at the top and 1” at the bottom to see if it would be easier on the cutting. I will let you know.
I used 3 scrap pieces to make my example. I have more but definitely not enough for even a table runner. I tend to use scraps when I am designing. Sometimes I get so excited I wish I had more fabric 😄 But it always looks good with the ones I choose for the actual quilts too.
I want to make this…I like the wonkiness of the block! I have a layer cake with Christmas fabric that would work…it will probably will be done for Christmas 2022 as I need to finish the Christmas quilts for this year first!
You make gorgeous quilts. ♥️♥️♥️ I should've watched this tutorial first but your time lapse conclusion for sewing these pieces together appeared to me first. Since I was a little confused about the way you'd arranged the pieces after cutting in the other video, this tutorial definitely gave me the "💡AH-HA!" clarity I needed. Thank you so much! 😊
An easier way to sort would be to cut the first round, then take the first layer and move it to the bottom before you cut the second round, then take the top centre piece and move it to the bottom. When the cutting is done so is the sorting.
I'm totally gonna make this! I found some yardage for my background. But still looking for the right layercake. You are such an amazing quilter and so descriptive.
Broken glass a suggestion for block. Love this block. However I know I would have to be on my own a no distraction so I can concentrate. Again great block and tutorial very professional Tiff xx
Very interesting pattern and love your fabrics even though I’m not into novelty prints. I’m thinking your pink version is beautiful and will probably go that route or a Christmas theme. I made your weaved pattern using Cranberries & Cream Charm pack, absolutely love it.Thank you so much for sharing. 👍❤️😊
Would you mind sharing a link as to where to purchase that rotary cutter? I love that! I need a couple. 🤗 I do love this pattern you came up with. This is my first time watching/seeing your videos. Absolutely my favorite so far. Of course, I do things the way you do. ❤️ Efficiency, love chain cutting, piecing, ironing….I can’t wait to see you see it all together. You are a fantastic teacher!
Thank you 😊 And I don't have a link to any specific site. But as I always say... Google it and there will be many stores and 1 of 100 will be the cheapest deal 😄 It's the Martelli Rotary Cutter. Best place to find it is Martelli. Com itself 😊
Hi 👋😊 i like your laugh and i find myself smiling when you make comments or other i find your work extremely worth watching efficient and enjoyable can you please see if you are in my public option so everyone can see my favourite choices of channels to watch ? Thank you amazing tutorial !! Nora I
Hey Tiffany, love the pattern. I know how you feel, its a creative thing, I used to make costumes for Halloween events and people would laugh at me because I would start making something in like May for October, and I would try to explain how I would get an idea and it would grow in my brain and it felt like it would consume me until I created it. Not everyone understood :o)
Hi Tiffany and hello from Malaysia. This is the first time subscribing to your tube. Thank you for a clear explanation and sharing to make a wonky pieces of blocks to turn it into a beautiful quilt.♥️
How genius! Using your June Tailor cutting mat as a rotating Mat! I wish I had thought of that before I bought the rotating mat. I have had the portable press and cut mat forever. Where did you purchase the pretty butterfly decals that are on your machine? I have the same machine. I really like your method of swapping the fabrics around. No deep thinking about darks, lights and mediums and what goes together best. The layer cake takes care of that. I also love that the matching up doesn't have to be so precise. That all works for me. Makes quilting fun!
I keep coming back to this video, love it, but I want make sure I understand the 3 yard. Do I but 3 yard fold in half lengthwise, then proceed to line up the fold on the line on mat and make the 10” cuts? 4 10” squares for each 10”cut. 21 blocks total. I have the cutting down. (1” bottom, 2” top, turn, got it. Just not wanted to make sure I have this first part correct. Thanks for sharing!
Hi from GA Mountains 🌲So in the beginning when you were separating the cut pieces, you took the middle square and put in on the bottom of the square stack and the next pieces to the left and right of square, you pulled the bottom piece to the top! Correct?
I really like your instructional video and your pattern, thank you for sharing. I am interested in your sewing machine, would you mind sharing the name of it?
I save a lot of scraps and have been making utility quilts. I like recycling all sorts of things, but my favourite was memory quilts from my late husbands shirt.
It makes me think of Hitchcock's movie Vertigo. From the mind of Tiffany!!
Oh ya hahaha

You can cut it from in half twice or just in the half once fold like it comes off the bolt.

Hi Patsy 👋
Try the back of a teaspoon for finger pressing.
Hi, Here again together. Have you trained your hubby to press the seams for you? lol It's an idea.
He knows how. But some things he don't get to my OCD liking 😆 🤣 😂 But he is getting better at it

Hello 👋
Tiff, love the design, what's the name of the first block you did, the purple layer cake, so sorry I didn't catch you live.
Thanks 😊 and I don't know I used scraps to make my sample blocks
Hi from GA Mountains 🌲So in the beginning when you were separating the cut pieces, you took the middle square and put in on the bottom of the square stack and the next pieces to the left and right of square, you pulled the bottom piece to the top! Correct?
Yup correct 😊

Thank you 😊 It's a Juki TL-2010Q
I really like what you came up with. By chance is there a paper pattern that we can buy? I do better with pictures to fallow. ❤️
Unfortunately no paper pattern. I struggle more writing patterns then I do making them.
Do you crumbquilt with your scraps? Thanks for your videos, I love to watch and learn.
