I just moved into an Independent Living complex. I got an extra bedroom for my sewing room. I am excited to get my fabric out of plastic boxes. How did you arrange your fabrics?
My late black cat, Sam, would love that highly chlorinated entrance. He loved the strangest smells. He went wild for chlorine and for things like Icy Hot. I am have so many layer cakes. This is a cute pattern!
I just came across your channel. My floor is also my workspace for so many things and the cats want to lay in the middle of it. Thanks for being really real. So many people act so polished and have so many edits to their videos.. You sat down on the floor and were real :) I enjoyed watching the method to your madness.
I watched yesterday, but didn't see you put the iron on top of your hand, but sounds like something I do. I keep sticking myself with the pins and need to wipe all the little blood spots off. I have a cousin in Lake Havasu, I spent the week there back in 1998 for a family reunion. I like the idea( do not need a lawn mower there.) My cousin sewed a lot. Her grandmother was the one that got me interested in sewing.
Yes. Lol. It's sad that they end up at the thrift store and goodwill. I have seen MANY and have wondered to myself, why would such a beautiful piece of work end up here? The hours of hard work. You should DEFINITELY first find out if they are quilt worthy. Just saw part one of this video. It somehow it ended up on my stream and I was very impressed and subscribed. Great job. Beautiful work. Praying as well that you can purchase a quilting table and have a large sewing room one day all to yourself. That has to make your back hurt getting up and down. Hurts me watching you. Lol. Also love your eye for color, design, and pattern choices.
I thought I wouldn't like this quilt, but now I see all the squares lining up to form the finished quilt it unique different and awesome Beautiful design Tiffany, wish I had some of your creativity I stop when trying to choose what colour or pattern goes with each other or do I just have a pile of each colour and close my eyes and choose from each pile maybe Love this quilt the more I look at it the more I like it......
I just found your channel, I watched your efficient cutting and set up for sewing, so wonderful. I attempted patchwork as a teenager, 45 years ago, all hand sewn. I never finished it! I have a singer treadle machine that sews like a dream, it's got multiple attachments that I have no idea how to use. I am not a sewer, I constantly sew things together back to front or inside out, even though I pinned it together. No, I'm not dyslexic. You make me want to get the treadle out and start sewing. I will also live vicariously and watch you sew. BTW, I taught my kids to iron at age 5, by 7 they could iron their school uniforms (compulsory in Australia). Everyone said 'What if they burn themselves!' I still burn myself today, it's how you learn, I didn't have the iron on too hot for them. You can fix plantar facilitis by freezing a can of beans, when frozen, put it on a hand towel and roll the sole of your foot backwards and forwards over the can. The cold helps with inflammation, the rolling stretches the muscles, stopping the formation of excess bone. It takes a couple of weeks, if you have a lot of pain.
Awe well break out the machine and start having some ole fun 😊 I actually have done the can trick. I have many rollers and feet tools to help. But my first surgery doc said I had lots of scar tissue. I probably have it more again. He just said on my visit before this video that the tendon from my ankle to my big toe is too tight. So I'm hoping things will ease up with more of my feet tools that I use constantly.
You are not wrong there i am on Zomorph 150mg twice a day and morphine 10ml 4 or 5 times a day. X I wish we had a Walmart in the UK. We just have shops here called Hobbycraft shops. And the best time to buy anything is in the sales which i go to very often. X 1:30:21
Wow! You're amazing! Can't believe you completed that top in 1 video! I second guess myself all along the way which is exhausting and slows me way, way down. Thanks for sharing your process!
I have been watching your videos and have so enjoyed, inspiring to get behind the machine. Love your assembly line way. I have tons of fabric. And admit addicting. .
Nice job, definitely makes a great i spy quilt. I actually thought the cat was a bat😂. I personally really like the pattern , but I’ll have to try to make it in a floral type prints. I love your pink samples. Thanks for sharing always entertaining. 👍❤️😊
Amazing! I have such quilters-envy of such talent! I get so off on my cutting that there is no way it sews correctly. I've given up. But I love watching successful quilters! You make it seem sooooo easy!
I use wide masking tape and permanent marker to number each block and no pins needed. Stays on until I remove them. I just tear about a 2" piece for each number. Prenumber before I tear it to put on quilt. Love your pattern and how it turned out. Thanks so much!
I use to use blue masking tape. But I ran out of it months ago and have yet to get more. For now and whenever I need I just pin the postit notes 😆 Till I run out of those 😄
I just found your channel and am so happy I did. Thanks for taking all the fussy stuff out and getting a beautiful quilt done in amazing time. I'll be watching you!! Thank you so much.
Just found you by serendipity, and subscribed! Such an astoundingly ex ellent efficient organized method, I am SO trying it on my next adventure - I thought I was efficidnt before, I am humbled now, lol. I am a woman with no walls, but I pushpinned the top corners of a flannel-backed tablecoth in a barely available corner of my sewing space (I duck behind it to reach whatever, so I use one pin to hold each block as I go. I tend to do the final arrangements on it as well, hence the one pin. Fabric sticks to it pretty well, and I wash it between projects. And it looks likeyou have a hall wall, it might work, too. Pushpins are so handy! Thank you for the ideas and the cool pattern, I'm going to try it with Christmas fabric.
Oh that's cool. Hey whatever works 😏. I have a portable design cardboard I rarely use anymore. Once my son (the last kiddo) moves out in 2 years I will have the quilt room as my create it room. And his room will become my fabric room/guest room. Then I will have wall space to build a nice design wall 😊 Till then the floor works. I could also clamp on flannel or batting to my photography stand if I really needed. But for now I don't mind the floor. I do my best to stay somewhat fit and limber to get up and down. Although someday I can't thanks to my MS. But I do what I can.
Have to tell you ladies, my hubby took 3panels of 3/4” blue foam house insulation, duct tape on the seams. 1 on one side & 1 on the opposite side. This works like a accordion fold. When I need it I bring it into my sewing room, when it’s not being used I fold it back down to a one panel size. I covered the foam with flannel, and I can still use my pins to help keep my blocks secure. Works great 👍
I had a bunch of space fabrics & did a quilt for the 50th anniv of Apollo 11. Thinking this pattern would have been great too. Watched you other vids on this quilt. Enjoyed seeing how it turned out. Very cool.😊
Tiffany, your courage encourages me. You don't follow the path of others, you carve out your own. This has be empowering to me to be brave in my quilting, to think outside of the box and try something unscripted! I have purchased two panels and have done my own thing on them. That is the beauty of quilting - we can be individuals and no one can say it is wrong - because it is an expression of us! Thanks!🙂
I enjoyed watching both videos. It's a cute quilt and a neat pattern! 👍💖 I was cutting along a Scrap Strip trip from Jordan Fabrics. I had a good laugh when that lady reminded you to switch to white thread hahaha what was that saying? Lol You pattern is easy to remember when in the quilt shop; a pkag of cake and 3 yds. 👍😀🍁
Love it! Glad you didn’t use the gray in the border. Thanks for finishing this. What a fun quilt.
It's funny that this popped up on my "feed" today! This was the first video of yours that I ever saw.
Absolutely Beautiful, Tiffany! I love the colors and the "Shattered window" technique on this quilt.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

That's great. And yes no lawn maintenance 😄 The only thing most people dread here is the heat.
2 things, Kitt, spray adhesive and wonder clips (you can get a zillion generic ones on Amazon really cheap), no blood
😄

Love this quilt the more I look at it the more I like it......
Thank you 😊
This is exactly the same way I lay out blocks...on my floor!...and I used numbered post-its for the rows. It's a very good system!
It works 😊
You are so entertaining, can’t wait to see the end result
Thanks 😊
So happy I found your video!
A white strip around each each block would have them really look like a window pane or even black. Turned out beautiful, first time watching. 👍❤🇺🇸
Glad to meet you !! Judy Hall
This quilt is awesome!!!!!
Watching your process was very helpful. Chofosing which blocks to place in each row has always been hard for me
😃 glad it helped
I love that color

Great pattern. I needed a layer cake pattern. Thank you!
I really love your cutting process! It looked fast and easy. I’m hoping that when I try it, my brain will work as smoothly as yours does.
As long as you keep everything in order it should go smoothly
