Out of all the reviews I watched on these headphones, yours was the only one that actually explained the meaning of the name! 😂 thank you for this! Clean video with a lot of good info and visuals. Loved the Arnold comment too 😋
Thanks for explaining that the EQ presets only affects the wireless connection, and not the wired connection. I'm watching this after picking up a pair yesterday. I am currently using them for casual listening, and it's good they will function as flat monitoring headphones in the future when I use them for audio production.
Thanks for your honest opinions on the ATH M50XBT. I was considering purchasing the Sennheiser Momentum 3 headphones but after watching this video I've decided to with the AT M50xBT unit.
I checked out the Sennheiser Momentum 3 a while ago and they....absolutely sucked in terms of the sound signature. I got myself ATH M50XBT instead, bought replacement ear pads from Soundwavz and Bob's your uncle. They sound even better.
Received these M50x BT2 a few days ago and out of the box the sound quality is excellent. They definitely exceeded my expectation for the price and I've not even bedded them in yet. What would be a considerable upgrade in sound quality for Trance music on these (I don't need Bluetooth necessarily).
Nice review - thank you. Bought it a few days ago and I just like it. Well balanced and not overboosted bass although upper bass is slightly boosted for little better punch what is pretty nice. There is also a small dip around 315 Hz and a few dips and peeks in lower heights so if I try to adjust it completely flat the 5 bands of the parametric EQ is not enough. But the fact you have a parametric EQ with slope and adjustable bands is amazing and very helpful. My focus is more on every day usability and sound quality then on ANC or bass heavy overpriced mainstream stuff and I also don't like touch controls. I totally agree with you in this section the ATH-M50xBT2 is one of the best options in its price range. Solid Headphones with a really good app.
recently upgraded from the original m50x's. Audio technica are some of the only production headphones ive used and i dont think ill change for a while. Top notch company
@@TheSMSpider if u have the funds sure! but if it's for entertainment purposes I'd recommend investing in comfort and clear sound. Not so much needing to hear frequencies exactly how they are. (hope that makes sense)

3:48 it can only connect to up to 2 devices? bummer. i wish it could be multiple devices. I wanted to connect to my PS5, PC and my android. why limit it to just 2 o.O I'm not saying it has to be actively listening to all 3 devices at the same time. just should be able to choose which device is the active listening device from settings or something like that
Great video! I am thinking I am going to pick these up. I appreciated your honesty about the poor implementation of the "2 device" bluetooth switcher. Great review!
Apple Lossless Support via Bluetooth or wired?? Which codec does it support? I am using Iphone 12 and I love the Lossless Audio quality via wired earphones.
Ha ha, I'm actually watching this review while listening through my deep sea blue pair of ATH-50xBt2 headphones! Had them for a month now. The only gripe I have is that the ear cushions aren't as deep, those will be the first thing I replace one day. Otherwise, easy to wear and excellent sound.
Can i listen audio in wired and use bluetooth at same time? Like i play game my main pc in wired audio and listen to Discord via Bluetooth on stream pc at same time? (Sorry for my English)
Nice Review. If you compare the ATH-M50xBT2 To the Bose NC 700 or Bose Q45/Sony WH-1000XM4 or WH-1000XM5..What you will choose one comes in Overall Sound Quality/Comfort/Build Quality/Battery life and Charging/Features/App and Why please?
I’d pick the m50xbt2 if you do any kind of production .. for casual listening where accuracy isn’t a problem, you just want them to sound good, probably xm5 also for their comfort and and battery
So if you set low latency in your app, is it also work when you connect to your laptop? I mean, does these headphones remember the settings from app with diffrent device like PC or laptop? After all how is it with latency wirelessly? How mic is working wirelessly? Is there a sound quality decrease while using mic? I've got sennheiser hd 4.40 and sound is good until I start using mic in Discord for example, then audio quality is like 5$ used crap.
Yes it will remember the settings and the low latency is really good don’t know what to compare it to tho. But I’ve been playing games with no problem. It’s never as good as the cable but does a pretty good job! And the mics i’d say are mostly for convenience if you’re looking for high quality audio you’re gonna need a separate mic
I'm wondering if there is something wrong with me or if I just got a bad unit... I bought the ATH-M50XBT2 and I thought the sound was awful. No matter what I listened to, no matter if I used my phone, my laptop or my TV -- everything sounded like I was listening through a tin can. There was literally zero bass and wayyyy too much treble. Playing around with the equalizer helped only a tiny bit, as, even though the sound was better overall, I was still having needles being hammered into my head. Songs sounded like bad 96 kbit/s mp3 files. Even though I tried different files with 320 kbit/s and also waves ripped straight from my own CD collection. Bluetooth or wired didn't matter. Neither did the Bluetooth codec I used. So, what is up with that, I wonder. Everyone seems to love them...
I have the BT1..and ability to hook two devices is really intriguing. I’d wish to upgrade. Let me know how the battery performance is.. mine gives phenomenal performance. But headband and cups are chipped. Also the on of button broke down.
How loud do these get? Are they going for traveling and drowning out noise on planes? I want these so bad... Lol... Give me a plausible excuse to get them
Not my No.1 pick for traveling especially when they don’t have ANC but they have great seal around the ears which blocks most of the outside noise and the poor switching makes it a little harder to suggest for travel.. So if you can go for the Sony WH1000XM4 you can find them for really good prices .. if that’s out of your budget you can make these work for traveling as well
Ordered these tonight, lots of people say "Theyre great but go for the sony 1000xm5 or 4" or similar headphones.. but those are twice the price, im not lookin to drop 450-500 CAD on headphones atm XD. I think they will be great for the price and the purpose i need em for.
Im looking for some wireless headphones with better audio than the "gaming headphones with mic" as I use a external studio mic for my desktop gaming PC. But I'm skeptical about these non-gaming headsets, how do they communicate with a gaming desktop? The gaming headphones usually come with a Bluetooth dongle / dac and software that lets you control stuff.....the more "studio" headphones dont?
Users are meant to use the cable for the highest audio quality. The Bluetooth is there as an option for machine that equipped with Bluetooth features already.
Wouldn’t recommend wireless gaming with theses since there is a solid amount of latency even on low latency mode. But if you are planning on using the cable while gaming then you are in for a treat!
lots of issues with the headset at the time of charging them. cannot use any charging cable, you have to use the one provided with the headphones only. this is not practical. i’m returning them just because of that issue.
Are you using fast charger or something? Maybe that's the issue here. The manual specifically said to connect the headphones to PC's USB port. Which I figured that the headphones doesn't work with fast or powerful wall charger. This happens to my ATH-SQ1TW that cannot use my usual wall charger to charge it. I got myself a weak charger (5V, 1.0A output) and everything works.
There is nothing wrong with these cans but.... Next to n my athdsr9bt, which is high Rt bluetooth, the sound comes a definite second. Fair enough I suppose they are only half tne price. But they also run second to a direct predecessors, the ATH AR5BT I do wear them though, but not for for fine music. They're fine for youtube, news, radio etc
Sound quality good? Dude I had to turn my friends on Discord up to 200 just to hear them properly... Fuck anytime I play a game the sounds from the game are quiet as shit. If you think I did something wrong please let me know because I bought this recently and it's been annoying the shit out of me.
@@Shkarsalar Then care to walk me through what you did to get them to work? Because anytime I look this up all I hear is people deflecting the issue and saying I shouldn't even be playing sounds loud.
