I have the exact same XJ and I've always loved the moulding on the older Laredo's that covers the bottom part of the doors as opposed to the strips these came with. When I bought it, it was missing the rear door mouldings, so I pulled the rest off. I think I have a springtime project on my hands after I install the UphillMfg front bumper I bought last fall. Thanks!
Wonderful and educational video. What I love the most is that you and your husband are doing things together. I hope that my wife and I eventually do the same.
Well y’all have convinced me to do all my bumpers fenders etc. on my jku Was just gonna do some rattle can duplicolor bed liner But man this looks great
That’s a great idea. I’m get ready to put lower rocker panels on mine Cause the West Virginia road salt has destroyed them. That should probably help keep them from rusting out again. Great job, that really turned out nice.
Looks great, want that professional line use wire trim tape next time works great with raptor liner dont even need heavy duty stuff as raptor line is softer and takes a bit to cure.
Looks great! I’m curious how it has been holding up for you two with going off road and exposed to all the elements? Also, what roof rack rails do you have? My stock ones are shot and those look like they attach strait to the factory rails.
Raptor Liner has held up amazing! Since we wheel every weekend, it gets washed a lot. Especially in the summer with the mud!! And it has held up almost perfectly. A little dull but it hasn’t chipped away, etc The roof is Yakima. Came with the Jeep when we bought it and have since removed it
Que onda muchachos megusto mucho su travajo yo tengo un jeep como el de ustedes y quiero pintarlo y megusto su idea gracias aprendi mucho dios los cuide 👍 desde 🇲🇽
Thanks! You just gave me a big relief cause I just bought an 8 gallons Goodyear compressor for this job but was scared to use it because everyone is using much bigger compressor. Thanks again!
Touchup later using fine line tape and peel off at an angle toward the Raptor lining to correct the waviness. Mist from further away to perfect the texture too. Good job
@@GoatOffroad I'm hoping so, its got smitty built xrc bumpers with a 10k X20 series synthetic line winch and stinger bar upfront so itll have some style. Shes got engine mods but I wont bore anyone to death with that here.
Hey bug, raptor liner looks great, we have something here they call stone chip, water based, but after it dried, you will cuss if you try get it off a car. lol.
Dude buy a decent 6" palm hand sander and a box of 180 & 320 grit for future use on projects and thank me later. Only hand sand areas you can reach with your sander, odd shapes or body lines. Yes it's different if your doing actual bodywork as far as what do by hand.
You guys totally Rock! Buggy looks so amazing! I can't wait to see how the raptor liner holds up over time. Do you know if it will fade? I hope not cuz that black looks so perfect. I want to use this on XJET 😁 thanks for showcasing this stuff!
Project Dan H - we got the kit that came with the gun, 4 bottles of Raptor and 1 bottle of hardner. We bought it off Amazon. Make sure the kit you buy comes with the gun; some don’t
oh my god that line is so crooked? don't do multiple sections of tape. run one stretch of tape the length of the panel. you guys seem like super cool people but it looks really bad. its cool you don't care really but other people might wanna know how to get a straight line. one piece of tape... perfect edge.

Nice! looking good guys! Nice to have some heavy paint on the bottom of the doors, plus it looks great!
Thank you! It has held up with zero problems through rocks and sticks rubbing up against it 💪🙌

Kzpy LJ - They are but keep looking! Stay away from a lot of mods already on it; you never know what you’re really getting. Good luck! ❤️🐞
This looks great, and it looks like you 2 had a load of fun too. I do have a question, what size compressor did you guys use?
Jacques Bonn - Thanks! We just used a pancake compressor 😄
