I've done this to all my jeeps about 4 years ago....once all my buddies seen how sweet it comes out all of them have done the same thing. Freaking love this stuff. Good job man
One of the cleanest Raptor Liner jobs I’ve seen thus far. I’m still deciding on a color and I’ve also been wondering if you could add some sort of metal flaking to this product. Job well done sir! 👍🏼
I've Raptor lined all my armor and tub and trust me when I tell you...spend the extra $50 on the Upol vari-nozzle gun. The end result is night and day. You can adjust the texture for a consistent finish from micro fine to coarse and won't clog up and spit blobs of liner like the gun the kit comes with. Plus, adhesion promoter for all the tight nooks and crannies. Lastly, don't spray till the bottles empty. The residuals on the bottom of the bottle always gets clumpy.
PB Machines don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you can’t get good results with the regular gun but once you try the pro gun you’ll kick yourself for not getting it sooner. The ease of maintenance with the way the pro gun breaks down for cleaning...that alone is worth the investment.
Agreed, that looks badass. I just took of all the plastic door skins on my 95 ZJ and am doing the bed liner to the same elevation as the skins and the bumpers.
If you told me that you were planing to do this job. I would think to myself. WHAT. But with this sort of vehicle it makes sense. To see the finished job, quickly changes your mind about, the WHAT factor. It does look pretty good. Great work.
Had a friend do this about 3 or 4 years ago to his XJ. Looked awesome. Moved the front axel forward , lift, lockers , 38s, Atlas etc. On the taller creek banks the front end was just to light. Gotta Toyota on propane, 42 Super Swampers cut, I think , front forward , lift, lockers etc. This thing is a absolute beast!
@@pbmachines972 Yeah, this guy has quite a few toys. Rail Buggies, side by side etc. 80 x 40 garage , lift pretty sweet. He has worked all his life though, no freebies! Me, I can't do that. Retired and disabled. Shotgun blast at close range while working.
Awesome have the same stuff on my 2001 XJ but green never scratches and dirt comes off super easily the best thing I’ve done so far in terms of esthetics
Just a few more months I’ll be doing this to my Jeep as well. Mines also red. Plan on doing it the correct way much in the same as you did here, with a few added steps. Possibly some air brush or decal stenciling, Nice work 👍🏾
That looked really good you did a good job I do body work too and I got a 99 Jeep Cherokee that I want to ride online so it's good to see what it's going to look like when I'm done
This one got a very presentable, good looking finish, it's up there among the best according to what many of us like. Well done at a decent cost and it was done in good taste. It's easy to throw cubic money at a project to get a predictably hoity toity shiny paint job. This one turned out great after some work and imagination, I like it a lot.
a question I want to ask you after painting your truck with Raptor Liner, the paint does not lose the shine that remains after painting it, that is, with the dust and dirty it does not remain opaque, and later when you wash it, the paint raptor texture?
Looks Good but what do you do with the door jams? Is that product to thick? Thanks for the video. I have been thinking about doing the same to mine (it’s in the thumbnail).
Congrats on laying down one of the smoothest, if not THE smoothest, bedliner jobs!!! Not to knock anyone, but you see a lot of blotchy DIY jobs and it can turn you off to doing a full vehicle. But you Sir, show that you can get a great result. Thanks for sharing!
Sup mem , you killed it with this paint job , its still the best bed liner job ive ever seen . I was wondering for your prep you just sanded the clear off added some new primer where it was on bare metal . And then did you shoot 1 or 2 coat ?
Just take gloss off no shiny spots do not burn through any paint and a kit and a half to do that job so you’ll need two kits a kit normally does one full size bed
For the entire jeep how much did you use? I’m wanting to spray mine but that stuff is a little expensive and I don’t want to buy too much or not enough:/
Hey man, great job. Could you please share how much products you have used? I live in the UAE and I'll have to order from the US, just want to get the amounts right so there's no hold up. Thank you
8:01 rig looks pretty slick with the solid front grill, charger/challenger vibe.. wonder if its possible to get enough airflow to the road with some kind of solid panel there, add some hood vents for sure
...I feel like it's kinda sad that you painted over one that already had a really nice original paint job though. I would've picked one with some already aging paint that needed re-done.
Been good to do the jams if enough product remained (with time to spray it) and why not remove the bolt on body panels and scuff/spray rather than depend on seam seal? (Ive never had a jeep that didnt get a fender flare bumped enough to dislodge a bond to the body) keep in mind, ive never dealt with bolt on body panels, so my previous question may be ridiculous, if so, its out of my ignorance on the topic, not as a "troll". Thanks. Looks awesome
Did you do the inner door part as well? Or when you open the door you can see the red? I want to do my white XJ on grey but im afraid of the inner door part
Panic thank you so much👍🏻 I used 5 bottles I did two coats first coat in one direction then right away in the other direction like thirty inches away from panels ✌️
So you used purple power, then dewaxed it with what? And sanded it with 320 dry? You didn’t use no primer? And what did you clean all of the dust off with After sanding it, Great video though.
Awesome job, heavy attention to detail, patiently done and the care shows. Schweet looking ride.
Damn, man. Great job. Got me wanting to do the same....
Right on
I've done this to all my jeeps about 4 years ago....once all my buddies seen how sweet it comes out all of them have done the same thing. Freaking love this stuff. Good job man
It doesn’t flake off? How hard is it to clean?
8:13 would look awesome with a touch of bright green striping, the tape actually looks good around the header panel
camaroboi13 yeah your right a little color would look good
Told myself the same when it was still stuck on there... just a hint of colour.
Jeep people and their fucking lime green spray paint
Right I thought of same thing

I was wondering about a better gun although I’ve been lucky

Andrew Browner maybe one solid black mess grill over everything like a murder look
I think any idea that allows more Cherokee xj's to go on living forever is a great idea. The world will be a better place for it.

How many quarts did it take you to complete the entire vehicle?
Nice video. Your accent sounds like my whole family from Philly and New Jerz.

Did you do the inner door part as well? Or when you open the door you can see the red? I want to do my white XJ on grey but im afraid of the inner door part
We painted them black to match you should do yours the same way✌️
That turned out great. How many bottles did you end up using? Subbed
Panic thank you so much👍🏻 I used 5 bottles I did two coats first coat in one direction then right away in the other direction like thirty inches away from panels ✌️
Where’d you buy the kit from? How much was it to do the whole rig?
Wow, I now know what to do to avoid sending mine off to paint. I’m blown away by the results. Great job!!! What type/brand did you use?
Thanks Raptor liner black
Very Nice
So you used purple power, then dewaxed it with what? And sanded it with 320 dry? You didn’t use no primer? And what did you clean all of the dust off with After sanding it, Great video though.
