EMP Russian First Strike Option (Unknown Effects of EMPs) Replay

While the Ukraine-Russia war may be inching closer to full-scale nuclear war, there is a third option. Rather than deploying a tactical nuke, what if Russia softened up the battlefield with an EMP? It wouldn't have the devastating effects of a direct nuclear attack, and it could do a lot to win a battle.

What makes you think that the USA would not be the ones that 1st strike with an EMP?

Its not really equal to compare a nuclear plant meltdown to a nuclear bomb. Very different as far as fallout and ground saturation. For a small raduis a plant meltdown is way worse. A nuclear bomb puts out tiny Aplha Beta particles that breakdown quick.
