Just plain ol’ everyday civilians like you and I, who got themselves involved in some HOT MESS. Well, maybe they weren’t like you and I.

Man, you brought back some memories! When I was a kid, my parents had the Best of Eddie Murphy Saturday Night Live video tape (which is NOT the same as the DVD they have out now), hidden in their closet, because we weren't allowed to watch it. The minute my parents left the house, my teenage sisters would get it out, and we'd watch it over and over again. I'm ashamed to admit that 5-year-old me had that entire Velvet Jones sketch memorized at one point. This "handsome prophet" probably had no idea at the time that he was a pioneer in field of Ho school.

Ti, another great delivery on a Mystifying story. I was immediately puzzled as to how he hypnotized all these women. Was it a watch on a chain waved in front of their eyes, Perhaps a spinning disk with concentric circles spiraling inwards, Maybe background rhythmic music that culminated in a crescendo of hypnotism, Or perhaps the starting length of his sentence is a reflection On the method Of his hypnotic abilities. I mean even his ex wife wanted him back However it appears in the end that nobody wanted to share In The Secret of his powers. He gave himself many names including king But I wonder what the boys in prison called him. I am thinking that 40 years is a long time not to hear your proper name, So I'm hoping he got out early For " good behavior" and learned the life lesson. Relying on one skill set is not a good plan in life. Another good one Ti.

LOL! With Eddy Murphy it was a joke, I believe on an 1970s or 80s TV program. But with ole Emmet Cobb wasn't joking, and neither was the law. But though Emmett was a fool (and his estranged wife not to bright either), and obviously corrupt, I wouldn't simply dismiss the element of racism in his long sentence. Just imagine in the 1950s a white man was exploiting BLACK women as Emmet did white women. Would a white man get 14--68 years for his crimes?
