Adventures in old school junkyard specials, going racing, and making friends! That's what it is all about guys! Thanks again Ed. Big honor to be on VINwiki!
It's great that you can tell who is gonna be telling the story based on the title of the video. As soon as I saw period correct, I thought "gotta be Casey".
Good morning everyone. We hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for sharing this one Casey. Dedication to an idea and discomfort certainly go hand in hand in the vintage car world.
This is one of the best car channels on RUclips. Love two stories and the fact that it injects ideas in my head that I never thought was possible. In a way has brought in my car enthusiasm to new levels. Thanks vinwiki
I once daily drove an old van that had brakes that could probably be best described as being slightly worse than the ones in Casey's truck. Thank you for the pleasant reminder of those days; I loved that old Chevy van!
Nice story, nice truck, nice restoration, nice Porsche, nice racescar, nice racing clothes, and nice vintage theme. Good to see young people still caring about good cars, history, and style, and not just technology.
This story reminded me of hanging out with a friend back in the late 90's early 2000's who was racing a 66 Dodge Dart J Class (slant 6 powered) being towed by his 1973 Dodge B200 van. I loved those days of conference racing with the local spots car club. Fun times
Another (they just keep coming) great video for a Monday. Friend of mine bought a 49 Ford to race at local track - found out during pre-inspection that front suspension bolts were missing and it was all being held together by shoe laces. In other words, car did not pass inspection. Have a great week Ed and everyone else!
Boy i used to work tire lube express at Walmart in Hendersonville nc and we had a costumer pull in 57 Ford pickup lowered and in red and black too he had it all dolled up for a car show that was going on the next day so I luckily got to do the service on oil tires I even putt tire shine on it I pull it too the parking lot parked it all by it self nothing near for 20 spaces and all of us in the shop can see it from all angles the owner was so happy he went in the store to get the whole shop some snacks about 5 mins after he walks away to kids pull up in a straight up trash no oil stick oil pressure gage pointing straight down puffing dark black smoke it’s not a diesel car so bad we told them we can’t touch they get mad just a huffin and puffin but get them to leave now let tell about the space they had to back out of from the 1st bay it’s 1 and a half football fields wide then it’s 1 field long to the truck the building stops on both ends of the gap about 52 yards the length ways space that runs past both sides of the building is at least 3 fields long now tell me how in the hell do they back up and hit the pertty truck right in the driver door smashing it in so bad that you tell that it’s a door then stupidly drive away like nothing happened which I add the we have the driver’s name license number address and tag number???????😳😂😊😁
"Well the Ford 460 is an engine pretty mean, Shittin' out bolts and pissin' gasoline; 7 and a quater ton of pure mule power, Rollin' down the road at 8 miles per gallon"
My grandpa had two 50 ford f1 growing up one with a chevy 350 and 700 r4 tranny and the other was all original with a flathead and 3 or 4 speed dont remember...sweet trucks man!
Funny, I literally just bought a 53 Ford Pickup this afternoon. Shortbed, too! Turns out a guy I’ve worked with for 12 years has had one since the late 70’s and never bothered mentioning it till last week.
Haha, sounds so familiar. When I started road racing motorcycles, I decided I needed a truck to haul my race bike to Summit Point. So I bought a failed restoration of a Scout II from an even younger person than me (he was living in a condo, and trying to work on the truck in the parking lot... that got him in hot water with the Kondo Koppers). Just what I needed: a truck that barely ran and rusted faster than I could weld in new metal. And I was broke because racing, so the trucks condition actually went backwards under my ownership. I eventually had to give it away to get the thing hauled out of my yard by a guy, and I'm not kidding, named Bubba. When we were doing the paperwork, that was what was on his drivers license. And he fit his name perfectly.
Hey … I like that “Poser’s” car show (Legendary Motorcars). Although, since I haven’t watched TV in 3 years, I now have to satiate my automotive fix from watching the esoteric troupe on VINwiki. Thanks for all you do, Ed.
another top story mate thanks its 8am here in austraila had the worst nights sleep feeling like shit turned on my pc seen your vid was up lets just say thanks for making me smile after sutch a shitty night mate thank you :)
Casey tells 'car use' stories as opposed to 'car flipping' stories. Intrinsically more interesting and ranks just behind Ed. A 944... nice. 😎 Poor Casey would have blended 100% in that truck had he not had the NASA window cling on the back glass, but " 'Dat Putsch boy ain't right. "
Wow your adventures are amazing! I wonder if I’ll ever be able to work on my own project car one day, but since I live in a city Center i don’t know when I’d ever get out. Having a space here is really expensive and I really don’t know how the country is
You guys are well-known enough now to change shirts in between filmed stories. I feel like I complained about this guy's shirt months ago, yet it still keeps coming back. I'm starting a go fund me to buy this rich man some clothes that fit, so I can pay attention to the damn story.
Adventures in old school junkyard specials, going racing, and making friends! That's what it is all about guys! Thanks again Ed. Big honor to be on VINwiki!
Casey, you are the man..
Love your outlook and your style
For the record.... your the man
Can you please tell us more bar hopping with the truck stories?
Great story, but I still don't have a clue how you were emotionally able to exchange a 944 for a wrecked tow truck :-)
So what happened with the truck? Do you still have it?
It's great that you can tell who is gonna be telling the story based on the title of the video. As soon as I saw period correct, I thought "gotta be Casey".
Same here
Good morning everyone. We hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for sharing this one Casey. Dedication to an idea and discomfort certainly go hand in hand in the vintage car world.
Ed, not sure who edited this clip, but the engine photo at approx 3:01 is upside down.
I love this guy's outlook on life. Why not? No seriously guys, why not?
Cause we broke!
Because in every interview I've seen, he has to prove how just heterosexual he is. Hmm.
Caleb Zeller such as what videos?
I love this guy. The stories, his style, the swagger... And he's probably younger than me! What a life he's living!!!
Just needs some proper fitting shirts.
@@DelCalloway that’s a pretty good shirt imo
Vintage racing does sound like a ton of fun, in an absolutely masochistic way. Might be time to look into it!
What's mayochism mean?🤪
Doing things deliberately that are painful and deriving some pleasure from the pain or inconvenience.
@@crownhic6827 Masochism means smashing your head in with the front door, but you keep doing it because you like the way it feels.
You and your wife should go all out 1930s
@@crownhic6827 it's a way to eat mayo

I love it when these stories get to that introspective moment - "Why did I do that?"

The Sanford and Son made me laugh. I take it that was a black guy.
James Manning I’m waiting for some random white guy to say that’s racist
Old man Wunder I’m black so it’s 👍🏽
Old man Wunder I was waiting to read that too. I suppose in 2019 just being white is pretty racist.
So who else knew exactly who their guest was based on the thumbnail and video name? Casey never dissapoints when it comes to his stories
More Casey stories please 👍🏻 he has such a great humble attitude for a guy who has accomplished so much.
Ed, rabbit, Casey and Doug would be a heavenly week.
I like how every plan this guy makes works. He's like the Daniel Ocean of car culture
I once daily drove an old van that had brakes that could probably be best described as being slightly worse than the ones in Casey's truck. Thank you for the pleasant reminder of those days; I loved that old Chevy van!
There is something woman like about a pick up man! Great vid Casey!
Yeah, but did he ever haul the barbie doll for the girl next door? (And when's that video being posted?)
Nice u like country? We love u need more stories!!!
I think I can fit into my college button-downs, too. 😉
HA! You talking smack on my dad bod? :)
Casey Putsch most the lady’s like us men with the dad bod lol
In the span of 10min...
Casey just sent the value of that truck through the roof.. on C.L.
Nice story, nice truck, nice restoration, nice Porsche, nice racescar, nice racing clothes, and nice vintage theme. Good to see young people still caring about good cars, history, and style, and not just technology.
This guy always has a good story to tell.
Which did he trust more? the truck making it home or those buttons not breaking LMAO

I got to say I am really proud of people like you who keep the old trucks going. Good job mate keep up the good video
Casey never disappoints. Great story 👍🏻🆒

Time to pretend that I need a 10 minute poop.
VinWiki stories are the best excuse to run to the restroom.
Casey, you have owned some pretty great cars! Love the stories that go along with them.
Please run for President in 2020 - you got my vote!

HAHAHAHAHA!
You have the greatest tales to tell Casey! The guy with the Corvette and the tv show is Peter Klutt.
Last time I was this early, the Crosley didn't have a show to attend.
Casey is so cool! I can vicariously live through him and we are the same age.
This guy is a beast. His stories are outright inspirational.
The only person to consistently rival Ed's stories...
Love the 944!
Beautiful truck. Casey sounds like it was so much fun. Thanks for sharing this story.
I like how Casey thinks.
This guy is just awesome, every video he is in just awesome and pure class.
Casey, I love your style. I had to have a vintage tow vehicle to be period correct! Keep it up homie!
I'm so jealous, I've wanted a '54 F100 for years. They're just out of my price range right now and only going up in price.

Know all too well about that 8 hour drive! Went to Legend valley last year and boy that was interesting coming from Upstate NY
Now this is the kind of stuff that I'd want to do!
Crazy cool story
I’d love to see a few episodes where you get Casey’s parents on and have them talk about their perspective of these same stories
The guy from Legendary Motor Cars is Peter Klutt, I never missed that show back in the day, he knows his shit.
Casey makes me want to take more risks than i already do lol
Do a video on old Panoz La Mans cars
Ricky Grela great idea.
That's a badass story.

What car is that at 4:55? Looks ginormous!
Awesome story brother.
