Its cockpit design contains a colour CRT display as well as HUD (Head-Up Display) along with digital fly-by-wire (FBW) capability (with quadruple redundancy) - the onboard computers able to find four different ways to achieve the desired combat results. Avionics include an Irbis-E passive phased array radar system. The Su-35 is classified a "4++ Generation Fighter" though its true capabilities go well beyond the original/current crop of 4 & 4+ Generation mounts, while only falling short of the standard adopted for true 5th Generation by its lack of stealth. However, the Su35s tactical value has broadened considerably.
@@fatdoi003 Oh dear... OK... So what field of view (FOV) do you get from an AESA? It's about 90 - 110 degrees. PESA radar system delay certain signals and can be controlled electronically, meaning the signal can be steered quickly and precisely (without moving any of the antennas). They are highly valuable because they can scan large areas much faster. (which is why it's used). But have you know common sense either? If the AESA could achieve what the SU-35 desires from its radar, OBVIOUSLY Russia would use it. The major difference between an AESA and PESA radar is the number of transmitters. A PESA system relies on one large transmitter, while AESA systems have multiple TRMs - This allows for greater reliability, smaller size and weight, and a lower threat of being detected due to the use of multiple frequencies. Both systems are used in the military, the relevant differences between a PESA radar vs. an AESA radar will likely depend on what it's being used to do. What you have just proven, though (with your very own words) is your very own complete misunderstanding of each radar's advantages and disadvantages for its particular role. You've just proven you have an understanding of military aircraft equivalent to that of a 4-year-old.
Try learning before always looking to attack something you doln't understand. What you've said made me laugh out loud, as you fail to understand the Irbis E ESA radar is the most powerful in its class, or that it increases it’s BVR combat range as well as it's countermeasures resistance. (being the entire point of the hardware). But not only that, you know so little, you didn't even know the Phazotron Zhuk in the Flanker is an AESA - AE/ASE radar and when used with existing Russian transmit receive module technology delivers around 60 percent higher raw power aperture performance compared to US APG-79 (F/A-18E/F BII) and APG-81 (JSF) class radars. The Su-35 is classified a"4++ Generation Fighter" though its true capabilities go well beyond the original/current crop of 4 & 4+ Generation mounts, while only falling short of the standard adopted for true 5th Generation by its lack of stealth, but as shown the Su35s tactical value has broadened considerably.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the J-16 it's another of my favourite aircraft, Flankers always have been, but we see so little of it, much we need to guess.

@@besh7408 Why people that understand nothing, should learn first. - besh 10 hours ago (edited) @Lordcrafty the 57 ain’t close to the F-35. That's not only wrong, but it could not be further from the truth. I could just ask you what you've ever seen the F-22 do (other than flying over a beach on a RUclips Video)? That would allow you to make that claim, and to hold that opinion? Right? So, all you prove, is, that you're basing your own opinion on a whole lot of nothing, right? Do you understand that? So, what is it all about? It's embarrassing! But now, start to understand how these aircraft operate. Learn what they're good at, what real abilities it has in today world, what it's weaknesses are as well as its strengths. And how vulnerable they in a war scenario. You then need to do the same with the aircraft you're comparing it with. Like simple things like this? Stealth alone, defeats high-frequency (short wave), radar, by absorption and deflection. But it does NOT defeat low-frequency (long wave), radar. That would lead you to ask yourself how can either the F-22 nor the F-35, detect, track, or target any other stealth aircraft from BVR (beyond visual range)? And now we start digging out the reality, truth, and the facts. To detect, track, and target other stealth aircraft from BVR, you must have long-wave radar, (but it must also be enhanced), to remove all background clutter for targeting purposes. Well, clearly, neither the APG-77 radar, used in the F-22, or the APG-81 radar, used in the F-35, can detect any other stealth aircraft from BVR, an obvious fact, the US Air force will be fully aware of. Only it seems the reality is, that when the F-35 radars were being designed 13 years ago, there weren't any other stealth aircraft to think about as a potential threat! So, let's think about this logically and honestly (for once)? How can anyone see these US stealth fighter aircraft as any real threat to either Russia or China, (who both have these US stealth aircraft technically beaten today)? They can detect, track, and target the US stealth jets from BVR, yet the US stealth jets can't even detect them from BVR? Result = A pretty obvious one. And this is exactly why we should never just assume anything, or ever try to run others down. I mean, what do think that could ever achieve? Now, on the other hand, the reality of this "Russian rubbish" you all claim, is that they do have a real 5th generation radar, with enhanced long-wave radar, their new Byelka (2band) radar used in SU-57. Russia have designed, and they've developed, the first L-Band fighter radar we've ever seen. They've embedded L-band AESA radars into the leading edges of the wings. The L-band AESA radar "data" gets processed in real time (through extremely powerful Russian elbrus computers), being significantly enhanced, removing all background clutter, meaning it can detect, track, and engage enemy stealth aircraft from BVR. So the reality today is, very clear, this new Russian technology, along with its very impressive range parameters, and it's jamming ability (over very large areas) make this aircraft deadly to all other aircraft types. Russian rubbish indeed. They interact in ''real-time'' with each squadron member (auto selecting) the best placed BVR missile being carried by any of them, that can be fired by anyone of them. They can take full control of surface-to-air (SAM) missile defence systems - (that alone is lethal), and they can detect, track, and target all enemy stealth fighters, (and detect them long before they even enter Russian airspace), from much greater distances today, with the "real-time" data from all those massive Russian ground (long wave stations), that are all protected with the networked S-400 defensive system. The truth today is obvious, it could not be any more obvious, these Russian stealth jets will always know exactly where the enemy stealth fighter aircraft are, so they'll always approach them head on, stealthily, being able to down the US stealth jets from BVR (while the US stealth fighter jets would not even detect them coming)! Result, and the all important reality is? = you're doomed! The Byelka (2band) radar, covers all frequencies across all channels, used for tracking, targetting, and also for jamming (over large areas). It's part of Sh121 multifunctional integrated radio electronic system (MIRES) on board the SU-57. Russia also tested this new radar suit in the SU-35's, so they also have the option of fitting this radar into the SU-35's. Seeing the SU-35 at no disadvantage against either the F-22/35, as although the SU-35 can be detected, tracked, and targeted from BVR by the US stealth fighters, the SU-35 equipped with this new radar is just as able to detect, track, and target the US stealth fighters from BVR. Seeing the all-important Russian advantage in BVR missile range, plus the excellent manoeuvring, neither the F-22/F-35 have, as more than critical, (if you're going to avoid simply being blown out of the sky). This 5th generation radar design, has a very clear and real potential to provide a genuine shared multifunction aperture, with applications including... Search, track, and destroy -missile mid-course guidance against low signature aircraft - identification of friend or foe with secondary surveillance radar. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of JTIDS-MIDS-Link-16 emitters at long ranges. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of L-band AEWC-AWACS and surface based search radars at long ranges. Passive angle tracking and geolocation of hostile (i.e. Western) IFF and SSR transponders at long ranges. High-powered active jamming of JTIDS-MIDS-Link-16 emitters. High-powered active jamming of satellite navigation receivers over large areas. High-powered active jamming of L-band AEWC-AWACS and surface based search radars at long ranges. High-powered active jamming of guided munition command data links over large areas. (Effectively, neutralising the USA's use of AWACS for their detection). The truth is, this Tikhomirov NIIP L-band AESA radar, is an extremely important strategic development, and it's a technology which once fully matured and deployed in useful numbers, will render narrowband stealth designs like the F-22 & F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and many, UAVs, as highly vulnerable to all flanker variants equipped with such radars. Just Russian crap, indeed.

As really, dogfights usually happen at extremely low speed and whose airframe maintains superior nose authority usually wins.

@@hotstepper887 wow... never realised PESA radar is better than AESA radar.... 🤣🤣🤣

@Lordcrafty the 57 ain’t close to the F-35.

I know the answer to why it's more dangerous than we think! It's because it's easy to shoot down, and it can crash into civilian homes and buildings. It can also break down and fall out of the sky, killing the pilot and crashing into civilians and their homes.

An air-superiority fighter... that can still get shot down by a downgraded export model Mig-29 built 40 years ago. It's a jet, and a jet fighter, superiority is probably a bit of a stretch though.
@@tehScribbles Ummmm no Mig-29s have ever shot down the Su-35. Read your sources again, it was shot down not by a Mig but by a surface-to-air missile of the Ukrainian air defences near Kakhovka

Love this plane in ace combat
After 40 years the F15 Eagle Still the strongest and ready to kick Russian fighter ass every time.. ✌️
Yea. Nothing can beat F-15. They say it doesn’t even need its flaps to takeoff
freindly reminder that the Eagle got atleast 90% of it's kills against atleast 20 years older jets flown by undertrained pilots from third world air forces =)
buddy youre delusional. just because the f15 did well on a battlefield scenario decades ago against extremely undertrained pilots and inferior 3rd gens, it doesnt mean that it'll do as good against a gen 4++ in a 2023 battlefield scenario
These planes never met in battle so we don't know that.
@773. The F-15 locked onto a MiG 25. Never lost a dogfight. Has a top speed of Mach 2.5. And still one of the most capable fighters
Probably the best fighter jet in the world.
Off topic, I'm now going to listen to my uncontrollable urge to throw cheese on different aircraft. Wish me luck
It can't even compete with the F-15.

a su35 can target a plane with an rcs of 3m^2 from 350km away, an rcs of +5m^2 from 400km away. this outranges both the radars of f15 and f16 (
Can I say something Russian fighter are always superior and have a leading edge then American jets . Even American kidnapped Russian jets to reverse engineer to get there technology
Kidnap?😂 The pilot was a traitor.
He defected.
Yes, CIA organized this and Viktor Ivanovich Belenko on September 6, 1976 defected by flying his MIG-25P from Far East of SSSR to Hakodate Airport in Hokkaido Japan. Americans hold this plane for full month and then returned it back.
Russia is literally 2 generations behind
US are now starting to build 6th gen aircrafts
Every former Soviet block aircraft acquired by the west left western engineers amazed... at just how inferior they were and how their capabilities had been vastly overestimated.
In which other multiverse ?
Also it has thermal camera in front for the aircraft to detect other aircraft without activating the radar and without the other aircraft noticing hes being detected
