Gentle correction: per dining etiquette, one should always cut and eat food on the plate (such as the langoustine) one piece at a time, not cutting it all all at once before eating.
Great to see you posting classic French restaurants again....Love it ❤ We were at the Ritz a few weeks ago and enjoyed the Bresse chicken en Vessie. I think the Paris version was a lot more expensive ha ha. Great work GbG...keep it up 🙏
😇♥️😇 You are absolutely precious 😇♥️😇 ... 😇♥️😇 Just hearing you say " Thank you " when I feel lost and hopeless helps me make it through the next second of which could have been my last 😇♥️😇
You allowed them to serve you a tiny portion of the Bresse Chicken, which is tre, tre yummy! I hope that you took the uneaten portion with you in a Sac de Chien, because you paid for the entire bird!!!!
Does is ever feel slightly uncomfortable eating alone? I actually prefer it at places like these, as you can focus on the food rather than some random conversation....
it would be more respectful to the chef's artistry if you were to cut only as much as you can comfortably fit in your mouth during each bite, rather than pre-cutting the entire dish beforehand.
@Charles Lucas As an artist and a food enthusiast, I hold a deep respect for the essence of artistry. I couldn't help but wonder about the chef's sentiments upon witnessing a behavior that seemingly dismantles the intricate beauty of their culinary creations.
Mmmmmm…..3 Michelin Star…….I bet someday Gordon Ramsay can make a TV Program where he shows us Michelin Stars restaurants just like he has Michelin Stars
Please stop cutting up your portions into bite size pieces all at one time. You are not a mother cutting up food for her baby to eat. It is considered poor manners and is hard to watch.
Et pour les macaronis tu vas à Côme au bord du lac et là tu prends ton pied et avec 500 euros je peux te dire que tu peux en offrir des Grappa à tes voisins
Thanks for letting us know that you've never been to a place like this, same as anyone who jokes about getting a Big Mac after. I have been lucky enough to visit more than 10 multi-starred restaurants and I have always been full of stuffed by the end.
Sorry but I think French cuisine has stagnated while others have moved ahead as I discovered having returned recently from France, the food was a huge disappointment. This 3* restaurant is frankly serving pretty bog standard fine dining fare, all the dishes looking similar to many other establishments featured on RUclips. Surely serving a single asparagus stalk on a plate is taking things too far?😅 This meal is definitely not worth almost €500 excluding drinks!
Epicure is one of my fave in Paris!
Mine too. I've eaten there 3 times
@@markclavecin I wish I could afford to eat out like you guys.... 😢
Yay you did Epicure!! Great video!
Enchanté!
Gentle correction: per dining etiquette, one should always cut and eat food on the plate (such as the langoustine) one piece at a time, not cutting it all all at once before eating.
It's the American way. 😆
It is odd all that pre cutting.
As good as always. thank you so much for your channel.
Glorious!no talking and food well explained.looked delish

Beautiful dinner. One of the great chefs of France

🤗
You have to do the Oustau De Baumanière !!!
That macaroni is so funny and fancy at the same time 😂😭
28 € bottle of water? This is when you realise the prices are ridiculous
Seems the cheese was the only course that didn't need a spoon. Interesting technique.
Exquisite!
3:05 is that dirt?😂
Yes haha (chocolate)
Could you try every single macaron or can you just choose two or three? Are there restrictions?
Asparagus and morels together twice on the menu?
That’s exactly what I was thinking! Repetition in a 3star restaurant?
Epicure is probably one of top 5 in Paris I'd say, absolutely exceptional.
1 problème !, où les couteaux ne coupent pas où la personne ne sait pas s’en servir ?
Pour moi C la 2ème 😂 , un couteau n’est pas un stylo 😢
Your supposed to eat the crust on the Camembert 😂it’s the calvados flavour x
Someone please sharpen those knives!
You allowed them to serve you a tiny portion of the Bresse Chicken, which is tre, tre yummy! I hope that you took the uneaten portion with you in a Sac de Chien, because you paid for the entire bird!!!!
She definitely did not pay for the entire bird. It was a tasting menu.
@@kommisar. It was an entire course when we had it there, some years ago
@ Again, it's a TASTING menu. They're not giving you an entire chicken on a tasting menu.
@ When we ate there (in 2005 and 2006) it was NOT a "tasting menu".
Does is ever feel slightly uncomfortable eating alone? I actually prefer it at places like these, as you can focus on the food rather than some random conversation....
No, I don’t feel lonely, very comfortable, I can enjoy beautiful and delicious foods, sometimes I like travel alone and dining alone
@@GourmetBGourmet Great to all....
I'm always comfortable dining alone , I always seem to get better service.
@@cumbriafoodie Very interesting. Why do you think that is???
@@BigNightFan Simple..... They never know who you might be 😉
Forget about the food. Can you share some stock secrets? lol

@@CharlesLucas777 I'm going to agree with @hiloSF. It was annoying to watch but I am still thankful for the video.
@@christian15213maybe she's sharing that food with her 6yo daughter? 😂
I agree

You didn’t touch the bread?
Hopefully she took it to go, because that's what I definitely would have done.
No wines ?
wine
did these people just put dirt on the asparagus
I just watched it all again. 28 Euros for 2 bottles of Water.... That's ridiculous.
26198 O'Connell Port
You are NOT meant to mix the cheeses!
four Michelin stars ? Really ?
3 Michelin stars
I think is way better eating in this high end restaurants than spending money on the mediocre places that quit pricy
😱 Vous avez ôté la croûte du camembert 🥺. Vous allez aller en prison 😕...
I prefer the French restaurants before Chez Panisse came on the scene and turned all the plating into modern art.
Please stop cutting up your portions into bite size pieces all at one time. You are not a mother cutting up food for her baby to eat. It is considered poor manners and is hard to watch.
3:04 I'm gonna put some dirt in your dish.

Lmao cutting it up like you’re a child 😂 should be banned from everywhere except McDonalds
I bet you will be still hungry after eating all this at this restaurant
I guess not.
There are 8 copious dishes
Thanks for letting us know that you've never been to a place like this, same as anyone who jokes about getting a Big Mac after.

Definitely not. I had lunch here and came out stuffed by the end. Had to take out the macaron offered at the end.
Lol😂
