Le Train Bleu is hands down our favorite restaurant in Paris. Great service, spectacular food, and the setting…ooh la la! Haven’t been to Bofinger in ages, so must return. Great video!

J’adore vous deux! I used to live in Marne La Vallee years ago and I’m returning to Paris this weekend for my 50th🎉 Your videos have refreshed my memory and introduced new businesses to check out. So much has changed since the I lived there!! Merci vous deux for the fantastic content ( sorry about the Franglais- mixing French and English language) I tend to do this a lot 🤣 Will keep an eye out for you both this weekend and if I spot Colleen’s striped shirt I will give you a wave 👋🏻 Love from 🇬🇧
I watch on my Roku and came here on my iPhone to say that I’m so impressed by your sound/mic game. I love that we can hear you guys so well without a lot of background noise, but we do still get a little cafe noise for ambience. If you’ve invested in tech for this it was worth it. So I am very surprised to see people saying their sound was bad.
As a waiter, the one who made your crêpes flambées at the Train Bleu made a HUGE mistake : serve alcohol directly from the bottle, into the pan. Always, and I mean ALWAYS pour whatever alcohol you'll need into a small glass and NEVER approach anything flammable with a bottle of alcohol. Unless you want it to burst in flame in your hand. The weird thing is that he had it done properly for everything else : the sugar, butter and orange juice were already in their own pots, with the exact quantity. I’m a big fan, and I hate to be critical but, Antoine sounds underwater but Colleen sounds totally normal. I’m listening on iPad so maybe it’s my problem. Just a heads up in case you’ve started using new equipment.

@LesFrenchiesTravel La Belle Epoque is 1871 -1913, les Anne's folles is Roaring 20s era. Le Train Bleu is 1900 era, for instance, def Belle Epoque, as is Brassiere Lipp. Bofinger pre dates Belle Epoque.
@@bpd9660 No, la Belle Epoque certainly does not start in 1871 (which is only when the Second Empire ends and the Third Republique starts) !!! Le Belle Epoque is the years around 1900. I am a Parisian, I know. Les Années Folles is the 1920s indeed. Le Train Bleu is Belle Epoque, it opened 1901 and is neo-barock/eclectic/Beaux Arts style. Lipp was founded 1880, redecorated later. Bofinger was founded 1864. Maxim’s was founded 1903, it is Art Nouveau style (curves). La Coupole was founded 1927, it is Art Deco style (geometric, straight lines). Bofinger is a brasserie, not a brassière (which is infant’s wear). Brasserie is originally a place where they make/sell beer. Now the word describes a large café/restaurant but it still applies to a beer factory.
All of them are very good but Le train bleu is really special because the decoration is wonderful. It is an historical monument. To be done at least once in your life.
You two make me smile. I probably won't be going to Paris anytime soon until I have the money, but oh man I do hope my vibes are just as good when I'm at your age.

And I flippin love that you eat dessert because let me tell ya I eat dessert after every restaurant meal!😂💗 I do have a question…I have an onion and garlic allergy…is it pointless for me to even try to eat out in Paris? Please, please, please.. what is the music you use as you go downstairs on La Coupole, we went for Valentine's this year and it was incredible. My partner wanted to dance downstairs and we have now decided we want that music to start our party at our wedding next year!
The thing I like most about these videos is looking up the menu on the restaurant’s website before you eat and guessing what you’ll eat. Darn! I only guessed Antoine’s excellent Bar dish.
