Put your heating on..what they going to do, arrest you and stick you in a prison with three meals a day, tv and heating!! By the way it's illegal for suppliers to switch off your heating, so regardless if you rack up a huge bill they can't switch it off. Stop worrying about not being able to pay.

I know. I remember seeing a couple of documents about the NHS contracts that have been given for these so called asylum seekers. An obscene amount of monies has been granted for this. Like you say, we all struggle to get through to Doctors surgeries to get an actual appointment to see a doctor. So many people still sat waiting for surgery and specialised treatment. Again, these freeloaders that continue to arrive on our shores are being handed everything for free all courtesy of the tax payer. I have stayed in many Marriott hotels around UK for holidays when I worked, now retired. Always excellent accommodation and very well trained and friendly staff but I will never stay in Marriott owned property ever again.

Went round to check on my 88 year old parents last night and they’re using a small fan heater for 30 mins at a time to try and keep one room heated.I didn’t even know they were doing this, they were too embarrassed to tell me. Went round to check on my 88 year old parents last night and they’re using a small fan heater for 30 mins at a time to try and keep one room heated.I didn’t even know they were doing this, they were too embarrassed to tell me. They are not getting their allowance this year. I’m lucky enough to now be able to pay the extra for them,

We have homeless on the streets, including homeless veterans who fought for our country. Pensioners unable to heat their homes, so serious a situation that some will die because of it. Me too, a 75 year old woman with heart and lung problems. My heating is a night storage heater in one room for which I'm very grateful. I'm in an all electric council house, braced for rolling power cuts which are coming as we prepare to sacrifice our elderly on the altar of net zero.
Never understood the mindset of the sort of person that would move to another country and get a job as a security guard so they can oppress the native people there. But then you call them out for it and they claim it's "revenge for colonization" and they're there to conqueror you, but you can't do anything to offend them because they're the victim.
