Helen is probably the most underrated content creator in the styling category. Her channel isn't cookie-cutter, and her style is unique and practical. She's no copycat compared to other "beige girls" on RUclips. 😂
I completely agree! She really is so wonderfully unique and refreshing in all her advice! I’m 62, but I’ve learnt so much from Helen! She definitely deserves a lot more followers! ❤
I agree. She's a wealth of information IF your body shape, colour season etc. are the same as hers. But unfortunately I'm not like her and I didn't get much out of this video. I'm gonna listen to it again. Maybe I missed it, hahaha.
@@Bees123Knees I think that, as with anyone’s advice/ ideas/ suggestions, it’s important to focus on detaching it from the individual who is sharing it, and taking it all in as a whole with an objective point of view. You have to ask yourself how you can “translate” the information in a way that allows you to apply it to yourself based on your own unique circumstances, life, needs, preferences, (etc.), by condensing it into its most basic form and analyzing it. Try out what interests you by using your own approach methods, and then simply leave what doesn’t work. Don’t discard an idea simply because you would never implement it in the same way another person does. It reminds me of the saying, “don’t miss the forest for the trees.” Hope this helps. 😊❤️
"what you want to wear vs the thing you look good in" THIS is my biggest issue. I feel like someone finally understands the struggle. Also, looking good in the Australian summer. So difficult.
This is very timely for me, as I am really trying to focus and find my style this year. I am guilty of trying the “minimal” and standard “sustainable” style shown on IG, but I realized that what I actually value is something much more unique and quirky. AND where are those white wide leg jeans from? Those are 100% my pants silhouette and no amount of googling is finding me a pair like yours! 🙏
Love how articulate you are and truly gifted at all explaining WHAT it is about colour/ shape/ texture that creates personality. Thank you for your videos. Such a useful and helpful resource ❤
Happy new year, Helen! You really helped me find my own personal style last year. I feel so much joy every time I open my closet because it´s now full of timeless, quality pieces that I love. Can´t wait for more content this year 🥰 Cheers to you! ✨
I’m very happy with my style, but that comes with experience and maturity, too. I have had three decades more than womaen your age to experiment and find what works best for me. But, I always enjoy your videos, even if they don’t immediately apply to my needs🙂
You are one of the best fashion RUclipsr, love your content and you especially. I see you are doing it With all of your heart, but also so gracefully & naturally. The content you provide and the way you present it is such a unique combination. Sending love from Poland
Congratulations Helen! You are really one the most talented style content creater! I have been learned much at your channel. Could you please share which color palette are you? I have very similar color of hair, skintone, eyes with you. I think we should have very similar color palette as well. Thx!
Happy New Year, Helen! Great to see you back (but booooo to starting off the new wirh a cold). More thoughtful, intelligent, useful content from you here. I really agree that we can wear any colour and silhouette successfully, even if it's not our most flattering, with careful tweaking. I recently changed my hsir colour (more like my natural colour after dyeing it warm shades for msny years), and i realised different colours look better and worse on me now, so I've been having fun experimenting with colours of clothes, jewellery, snd makeup. Some things just had to go (goodbye mustard t-shirt from Uniqlo!), but other things can be salvaged with thoughtful styling. I always feel less inspired in summer eoth outfits (less opportunity for layering and adding interest way), but you've got me ready to venture back on to Pinterest and start thinking. Oh and congrats on 100k, very much deserved. 🎉
Happy new year! I agree hair colour makes a big difference (I found this out when I had lighter ash brown hair). I love that you’ve been experimenting after the change :) I also feel less inspired by summer style but Autumn is just around the corner too :) Thank you for watching ❤
I’m so glad that I found your channel! You have a similar body type, color season, and style to my own, so your advice and fits are always spot-on. You helped me figure out why I was never happy with my wardrobe even though I had all the pieces that everyone said I should have….it was perfect for a magazine article, but it had none of my own personality in it! For the first time in years I’m having FUN with my wardrobe and not afraid to add color, pattern, and texture. Thank you for that, congrats on 100k, and happy 2024!
Congrats! I'm so glad for your channel! It's great to follow someone with a similar body type to mine, and it has been great to follow along on your journey and learn from your evolution and learnings.
Happy 2024 🎉 I loved the detail and as usual you always give a fresh perspective on style. You produce so much content that is of actual value. Thanks Helen 😘
congrats on 100k, Helen! What are those amazing navy pants with the elastic waistband at 16:37?? (Is it the Tradlands one you linked, I couldn't tell, sorry!)
congrats on your 100k Helen, well deserved! I get so mant great tips froom you despite being frm a compleletely different climate, being a different body type and having differenr career (I'm Canadian, a Kibbe soft dramatric and I dress business formal for work everyday). Keep it up looking forward to your 2-24 videos
SO glad! Are you a soft gamine too? It took me a while to make sense of the recommendations but i think I’ve found some ways to style the longer pieces ❤
@@DailyHelenJ I am! Definitely don’t vibe with the “wear crop tops and shorts” advice. And I think you’ve really made the longline items work well for you; it’s very inspiring!
I am a 65 year old woman who works a dirty job (and loves it) and is a full time caretaker. Almost all my wardrobe is second hand and curated over twenty+ years. Any holes in my pants came organically or from dog toenails and to me only add character and memories. I can shop my closet for almost any new trend that I like. This century hasn’t been developed enough yet so most “new trends” are rehashed from the “classics”. Buy quality goods….even second hand.
Omg can you tell me what brand is the striped navy skirt (skort?) you're wearing? It's so cute! Also love all your videos! It's helped me a lot with my own styling. Looking forward for more content this 2024!
From Sandro via The OUTNET on sale. I don’t shop from them unless it’s sale but this one is actually nice quality. They make a lot of skorts ❤ thank you, I can’t wait to create more this year xx
I am "yang" all the way! Frilly and lacy is just not my style. Once I remember I was at work (this was late 80s), and my coworker came up to me and put both her hands on my shoulders. When I turned and said, What is it? she said, Oh, I thought you were wearing shoulder pads, but those are your real shoulders! I am also tall and really love menswear, oversized looks, palazzo and wide-leg pants, and slouchy suits--which doesn't suit ladies at the other end of the spectrum, I guess.
This video explained how YOU found YOUR personal style but very little re: how I might find find MY OWN personal style. I'll have another listen. My apology if I missed it.

Yep, this ! And for some of us, colors we love vs colors we look good in. The struggle of loving pastel, muted colors, but being a “deep winter”.
I just love your style and content. It's so inspirational. Give us more, Helen!
Can’t wait to share more! Thank you for watching 🥰❤️
Congratulations on 100k! Your channel is very unique and inspiring👏

The tip of long on long might be more catered to petite body types indeed because as a soft dramatic it really feels harmonious! :))

This was a great, helpful video! The Kibbe body types is so eye opening!
It was a very eye opening lesson for me as well this year :) hope it helps in your style journey too ❤

You are a hidden gem! Really like your video! Congratulations on 100k!
Hi Helen, where is the white cable-knit vest from? Shown at 12:55 minute mark?
This was so excellent! Thank you for the clarity and B-roll.
Congratulations on hitting 100k subscribers! Well-deserved.
Happy 2024 🎉 I loved the detail and as usual you always give a fresh perspective on style. You produce so much content that is of actual value. Thanks Helen 😘
I love your style and your strategies. Where did you get that scarf? Instead of obvious colours, that one would really work.
Great tips congrats on 100K!
Happy new year ❤ and thank you so much 🥰
Love this! Thanks for sharing tools that have helped you like Kibbe body types and seasons color palette

Love love. I keep forgetting to subscribe to your recently, newly renamed channel. I did NOW. So I won’t miss any content. Keep up the great work. ;)
Hi Helen, love your video. what is the brand of your white knit gilet at 10s?

No shade, but being yang is apparently why I went on the Sezanne website and found that I didn't........like.........anything.
102k please!❤😂
I just found her llllove it
How do we find our own kibbie shape?
❤❤❤❤❤❤

the tips are good, but you would definitely be a summer tho
Happy New Year, Helen! 🥹❤️ I never comment on RUclips videos but I truly love your content so much!
