I have to post again about this video…. This is the BEST BEST BEST recipe and video for “dressing” I have made some adjustments for my liking… but out all of the videos I have tried from RUclips this is by far my favorite. Soooo amazingly delicious!
This is my favorite recipe for this year! I give it 12 stars ⭐️ out of 10 stars ⭐️ best best best!!! I used sourdough and added a teaspoon of crushed fennel seed. Soooo amazingly delicious!
I would have added some poultry seasoning like Bell’s seasoning to the stuffing mix And then taste it for the family taste , by adding other ingredients to compensate.
I make dressing similar to this. I’ve found using a combination of sourdough, brioche, and a French bread (like the one in the video) makes the best dressing. It’s a bit expensive, but worth doing.
I made this stuffing today. It was out of this world delicious! Everyone loved it!!! Great recipe. I will only use it from now on. (It's better than my mother's) Happy Thanksgiving!
I love the way you explain your stuffing cooking I am in the process of making stuffing so thank you and please have a nice day and be safe, keep up the good work.. thank you again.. I am one of your # 1 followers ...
Looks wonderful. Is it ok to buy the stuffing bread the grocery store's sell that's already dried & cut up (like Pepperidge farms) & use that instead of buying a whole loaf & slicing it up? I want to make this over the weekend. Just love stuffing & never made my own.
I recommend trying it as is before you try and add more seasonings. 3 herbs, salt and pepper, plus onion and cranberries, plus sausage which already has a ton of seasoning in it is already a lot of different points of flavor.
Browning ground meat isn't just called that because it sounds cool. Actually brown the meat. It's not called greying the meat now is it? Never skip this step and your food will be x1000 better. Put meat in pan. flatten it out. Don't move it until it's been browned on the bottom. I mean it's actually quite simple.
My personal take? Don't worry about adding cranberries to the stuffing, it'll be great without it anyway. Use the fresh cranberries your wife got to make a fresh-made cranberry sauce. It's real quick & easy, and so much better than canned stuff. There's lots of YT videos for it. lots of variations, but basically you cook the berries with some sugar & water. You can try dried cranberries in the stuffing next year, but I think you won't want to bother after making fresh sauce. I do like cut-up dried apricots in my stuffing though.
I wouldn't try using fresh cranberries in the stuffing. They pop when you cook 'em, and they'd probably stain most of the stuffing and infuse the whole thing with cranberry flavor.
When you put stuffing into a turkey it gets contaminated so the stuffing needs to reach a temperature of 165 degrees F. Because it is in the center of the bird, in order for it to reach 165 degrees, your turkey meat would be much hotter. Above 165 degrees, your turkey starts to dry out. So you can definitely stuff your turkey, just know that the stuffing will come with a risk of food poisoning, or your turkey meat will be over cooked.
I’ve been making sausage stuffing since I was very little every year with my mom. I’m sure yours tastes great but I think you should bake it a little bit longer. It looks rather anemic. Also, you’re supposed to add potatoes.

These classic sausage casserole is completely perfect for thanksgiving !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sage, rosemary and thyme that she added will give it that same flavor, as that's what gives poultry seasoning its distinct flavor!
I agree, poultry seasoning is a must 👌
I never had a stuffing with sausage .Looks so good I need to try this thank you 👍
Give it a try and let me know how you like it (:
It's delicious. You're going to love it! 😊

So easy
Best argument I've heard for cooking stuffing outside the turkey. Never stuffed a bird; never will.
Philip Webb agreed. Gross
I like using both hot and sweet Italian sausage & this time instead of sourdough I’ll try Italian bread 🥖 😏😎👍😂
I add sausage to my cornbread dressing.
I use cornbread as well!
That sounds delicious
Like first, then watch ur videos.
Always! Lol

Yes you can!
This will definitely be on my table for Thanksgiving🍷
Yummy....
Think everybody is going to love it!
Just want to say thanks
the stainless steel bowl what size did you use??
Wow so yummy 😋👍
Yummy 😋
Nice. Does anyone still cook stuffing inside the bird? I feel like that hasn’t really been a thing since the 70’s...
Try cooking rice inside the turkey instead of traditional stuffing. It turns out really nice and absorbs all the seasoning and flavor of the turkey
Hopefully not. You have to dry out your white meat in order for the stuffing to be food safe.
I do yummy nothing like homemade
@@tehgzizlauw1787 Janice what did I fuckin tell you about stuffing your turkey. 🤌🤌 oh madone
I throughly enjoy your channel. Want to invest in quality cook ware. Any suggestions?
Looks great!..but it needs more seasonings for flavor
I recommend trying it as is before you try and add more seasonings. 3 herbs, salt and pepper, plus onion and cranberries, plus sausage which already has a ton of seasoning in it is already a lot of different points of flavor.
Ok.. well i definitely try it. 👍
Can you cook this the day before and then reheat the next day?
I was going to ask the same thing
Yes! I make sausage dressing similar to this, and I always make it a day ahead.
Are the measurements the same for dried herbs
Great video...i would love to see you cook and carve a Turkey ...can you?

Your printed recipe forgot to add the butter before the flour. Thank you for all your great recipes.
Which heavy cream??
It's looks like a biscuit and gravy dressing
Cook the turkey in a roasting bag it won't dry out
If you follow her Turkey breast recipe you won’t need to use a roasting bag. I’ve made her recipe twice now and it is just delicious.
recipe link broken
What is heavy cream

Lost me with the 2 cups heavy cream 😥😥
Oh sorry. Stuffing is definitely not meant to be healthy.
Ponga lo en español
I am going to assume you can omit the celery? We are not big fans of celery. Do we have to season everything else differently?
Yes, it can be left out.
Can I use fresh cranberries? My wife got the wrong cranberries. How do I use fresh cranberries. I’m frustrated 😖

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t put that in the bird. The sausage has already been cooked so putting it in the turkey would not be a problem.

No way should be baked an hour😊

I have never heard of a stuffing recipe with potatoes.
Supposed to add potatoes? WTF?
nope you need sage..british style
You mean….just like the recipe calls for?
Ok. This is defo not British stuffing😳
I’m defo not British
