@@tonkadriver1833 Thanks for the clarification, something new I learned today. As an Australian, the Thanksgiving videos have very little relevance to me and I genuinely only watch because I love everyone on BA.
I make essentially this recipe but a bit differently! I use day off crusty bread like you, and I rip it but I don’t put them in the oven! They dry out naturally enough while everything is cooking for me! I add the hardier herbs to the cooking onions and celery so it helps absorb the flavour, I also add the chicken stock to the pan once everything is cooked so that every piece of stuffing is equally flavoured! Add the fresh parsley at this point, I then pour it over the bread and mix, it’s definitely “mushier” except it crisps really nicely! So after 30 mins covered and 15 uncovered, it’s crunchy/crispy on the top and bottom and a little softer in the middle. And really really flavourful! Sometimes I’ll also use some brown bread and rye bread for additional different flavours/texture.
If yours was the only comment I'd be confused, but apparently a lot of people are having discussion about it and some are indeed "mad". Gravity and the time of year (clock change too) has everyone in a mood, I wouldn't take it too personally; I'd like to try both versions, but I'll be happy with the dressing I am given at Christmas (as Canadian Thanksgiving is long gone, that stuffing was pretty good!).

Yall these vids are filmed months in advance. We dont know the actual timeline of filming so this video could have been before chris and rick's or after or even during! Stop hating on Carla because they released this video around the same time.
pocketed cheese i don’t think it’s really about that. it’s about the fact that all this is is an AD for swanson. that’s extremely misleading and frustrating to people.
K Centanni you can easily look at the description and see that it’s sponsored...it’s your job as the consumer to know how to find that information and do with it what you will
@@BB-ni2jo this video REALLY isn't blatant about being a sponsored video. For legal purposes it has to be pretty obvious to the consumer that this is an advertisement for a product. The video itself has a very small pop-up when she pours the broth into the bread mixture. It's so subtle I actually thought it might have been a joke.
@@kiroropupper3914 it's pretty obvious, but sure. The sponsored note in the description, the obvious placement of the swanson logo, and the note during the broth part make it perfectly obvious that the video is sponsored. You think Condé Nast doesn't know the requirements of a sponsorship?
ive made this the past two years and it's always been such a hit. it's SOOO good.
Chris and Rick: Am I a joke to you?
Kaz They are
No, but their Frankenstein stuffing was.
Chris and Rick are literally in the background haha!
This lady is amazing! She and Claire NEED their own show on PBS or The Food Network!
I’m used to cornbread dressing, but I might try this.
I'm right there with you. Like seriously, where are the cornbread pieces? 🤨
Smart, talented, cute. I love this video! Excellent presentation. I liked Rick and Chris' stuffing/dressing but it was the product of their agreement to disagree. This stuffing/dressing will be the one I make this Thanksgiving. Thanks for picking up the ball Carla! Yummo!
I made this stuffing last year, it is, ridiculously good. I'm making it again right now.
Guess which "perfect" BA stuffing/dressing recipe will be used by more viewers in a few weeks? Carla for the win.
My aunt makes a stalk with the turkey neck and giblets, a potato, onion and celery spices .. uses that broth and then uses finely chopped potato celery and onion with that broth into bread of choice with egg . It's so flipping good !
I really feel like im going insane, this is the third stuffing recipe ive watched and mushrooms have not been mentioned once... The best stuffing did all kinds of experiments, but nobody mentioned chopped mushrooms. My go to is basically this recipe, but with chopped mushrooms in with the onions and celery mix. Mind blowing stuff(ing)
Bleck
This recipe is fantastic
I added sausage and it disappeared even the grandkids even ate it and I’ve received so many compliments on it
Thank
You
I actually think Chirs must have been a ballet dancer in another life. His stance and posture!
My granny and my mom made super simple stuffing. Onion, celery and butter. Then a pint of oysters! Cooked all together pepper only for seasoning. Bread eggs and chicken stock.
I bet this recipe would be a whole lot better with the BA stock that was made previously
Cooked this for the first time this Thanksgiving. It was amazing big hit. Doing it again for Christmas.
Thank you for a classic stuffing. no hate on Chris and Rick but I thought it was an odd thing to incorporate so much corn.
@@nooralsilwadi610 I'm trying not to go as far as offended just because I'm not as educated as I should be on the true "traditional Thanksgiving" however that whole suggestion did have me going ... 'What ep. are we watching?'
You realize there's a huge portion of the country that would call the cornbread dressing the classic version lol
rdknight89 cornbread is fine, you can even mix the two, it was the jalapeño, corn and chilli crisp that threw me
I did this , im a stuffing pig boy . Thanks giving i made this and cream peas , currently re heating it after like a week and it still rules . So good , thanks!
also i love how the only way they would use box chicken broth is when it’s sponsored by swanson ! that’s hilarious
carla, does anyone else peel their celery? it is so much more flavorful and no strings in your mouth. i've been doing this for many years now. beautiful thing !
Year 4 of me cooking this stuffing recipe. It’s the best simple and delicious. As another person in the comments said a few more years and I’ll memorize the recipe lol.
Me too.
Carla's smile melts my cold heart.
Not gonna lie, stuffing is my favorite part of thanksgiving!
Nate and Noah Try Life stuffing and mashed potatoes 😍😍
Ummmmmm......I’m pretty sure it’s everyone’s favorite part
My family love gravy and stuffing the most. That amount of stuffing would feed maybe 3 grandchildren at best!
