It's absolutely outstanding that mk11 even in all it's faults and problems seems to be a better game with more content to offer, and better design like stage brutalitys, fatalitys, multiple gear sets and skins, intros and outros, females looking good in majority of designs (mkx and 9 is superior), secrets events and krypt secrets, crowd modes and more. My brother doesnt play fighting games but he likes MK world. I show them one of MK1 trailers before the game's launch and at that time he looked at the screen and told me: "That kameo system is gonna ruin the game". He was right. I couldnt play for more than a month beforee realising that kameo system absolutely ruined the game for me. It just doesnt make sense to have that kind of system in a story based videogame. It doesnt make any kind of narrative sense.

I enjoyed mkx as well. Especially, the scorpion vortex along with the speed of the game. But I understand there were older mk games I missed out on that were way better than mkx
I said that many times, the Kameos should've either: 1) Stayed as a separate mode, non-competitive. 2) Should've been done so they are OP AF, but they can be used only 2 times per match or once per round. That way they still keep the mind games "are they gonna make themselves safe or nah", but we don't get the "press R1 for safety/mixup" gameplay.

What up FATE. So I am like you, old and been around since the start. I would agree, at the moment, that MKX is "peak" mk, or the best mk game overall in my opinion. But why? To me it boils down to the gameplay which is best in MKX, no debate there. Though I agree other MK games are better than MKX in just about every other way, but as a overall package, MKX would get my vote, with MK9 a close 2nd, and UMK3 a close 3rd. When talking story/lore specifically, I'd say Deception because of the presentation (though huge respect for mk1-4 the Tobias era/best era). As for best roster, hard to not say MK9.
But wait, air juggle combos were a thing since mk1. You mentioned at 10:16 to get rid of it and cant agree here. The classic mks will never be topped we all can agree on that. But I think that going back to the old system (HP,LP,HK,LK) couldnt hold up to all the other fighting games we have nowadays. Unless they turn them into normals similar to streetfighter.
People who are having black screens on mortal kombat 11 are probably playing the pc version and the solution to fix it is to turn off the pc screen timeout and switch it to never when the pc is plugged in also if your playing the pc version and your not able to play any online modes it's because in steam you have steam in offline mode turn that setting back on
When I first saw it with their teaser, it was too colorful. That was strike 1. When they start to introduce cameos, assist in the game. I knew it was going to be a disaster. It was predictable that 1 assist character will break this game. That was strike 2. They release these female characters as ugly as possible especially Tanya. That was strike 3. I knew this game was done. You called it, other smaller RUclipsrs call it, while the big RUclipsrs promote and cope that the game gets better. I couldn’t understand how they can’t see it. this is pretty much why i'm sticking to MK11 until we somehow get the old era from MK9/X/11 back... MK1's story mode was great as i mostly play MK for it's lore and story, but i hated it when Liu Kang's New Era began in the ending in MK11.
Damn now I'm not gone lie, Losty saying she is done is pretty bad, she's been building her channel around MK for a good while now and I've seen her legitimately enjoy having fun playing MK and interacting with her fans. There is nothing they can do for Season 2 MK that is going to change the game enough to have it recover. Anything in Season 2 will just be a flash in the pan and then everything will go back to being mediocre again.
Graphics aren't even that great to begin with, imo. Everyone in MK1 looks so cheaply made, and for some reason everyone on the roster has a big head. (Homelander has a smaller head than Quan Chi, it's jarring.)

I "started off" with MK1, in 1992, and MKX is, objectively, the best fighting game NRS have made -- period. Now, MKX isn't the best _fighting game,_ or anywhere near it -- there is a slew of Capcom, SNK, Namco, and even lesser developers' games which play far better than MKX does. It's just that, when measured in gameplay, roster, content, and presentation weight, none of the NRS games can hold a candle to the sum of MKX's parts. Sure, MK9 was arguably, superficially more "MK-y", and maybe even had a better roster; MK11 had "more content" and "better graphics"; and Injustice 2 might have had better presentation overall... But, the fact remains that MKX had the best of their gimmicky "custom character" systems ("Variations") and one that actually, even if only in part, worked; had the closest atmosphere to the original games (dark-comedic); still kept the characters' personas intact; had the best guests (all horror movie characters); worked properly (no "player-2 cannot use X, Y, or Z unlockables which they paid for" type Judaisms); and the game is and was a *complete* product that can be returned to without having to ping some WB sever, verify "ownership", or the player be victimised by 15 different "DLC" racketeering scams just to get a complete and functional product. The only arguable down sides to MKX were its net code (which was utterly awful), its story mode (meh), and its lack of non PvP content (only a throw-away story mode). Notwithstanding, today, it's the only MK we go back to and that provides some inebriated poops n' giggles; as well as being the only one cited by fans, veterans, pros, and casuals alike, as being the one MK game that they, to whatever degree, liked (even my uber casual mate gets a kick out of being abused by my broken Jason Vorhees). The next best thing being Injustice 2, and there is daylight between those two games. So, even if one has some pet peeve with MKX, it's silly to claim that it wasn't the best of the WB era, NRS offerings... Keeping in mind that MK was never a "proper" fighting franchise to begin with, and that it was largely popular for its gore, lore, and kool kharaters galore; certainly not its clunky, janky, wonky, largely busted gameplay. For MKX objectively was (is) a decent fighting game; I'd go as far as to wager that, had NRS done an "MKX Redux" instead of the turd they squelched, and slapped 50 characters into the game, a la MK: Armageddon, it would have doubled SF6's entrants at Evo this year, as its meagre player base not now be in the process of exodus--less than year after release... A claim that cannot be reasonably made about any other MK game. Like it or not, MKX was for NRS what SFIII Third Strike was for Capcom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Okay.. please let me know if anyone else experiences the same playing online(wired). Obviously, the fighting system is off. Since this game was released, do you experience responsiveness issues such as blocking on time, getting grabbed while it's your turn and your character is clearly down poking before the grab/hit? Even when you know you let go of block in time, your character is somehow still blocking(and I'm NOT talking about up blocking) Also, hit box issues? For example, kenshi's sword or kicks will literally hit the opponent's face/body/legs but NO HIT? I experience this a lot against female characters. I went back to mk11 to test the responsiveness against a Kabal sweat and half the match I would flawless block in time. Everything is accurate in mk11 when it comes to game/character responsiveness. Most players can't react accurately with the added kameos system and character mix ups like rain for example. If they can fix the responsiveness alone, I'll be okay with how the game is.

I play MK1 and got the game back in Christmas I play the story mode it was okay but the only thing is very disappointing is the online and there’s no option to get rid of kamoes and is a part of the game I am saying this as a content creator that MK1 isn’t for me even MK11 is 10 times better then MK1 and is like you have to do an air juggle air combo / doing it with a kamoes and I just stop playing MK1 and moved on from it MK1 is just horrible awful invasion mode when is trying to be a game of Chess which makes me miss Krypt when you can unlock art costumes and a lot of stuff but invasion when you have to grind and level up is just awful and MK1 is still a dead game that no one wants to play anymore that’s just my opinion but I still play other games which is tekken 8 MK1 nah I just wish it was an option that they add 1 V 1 or added just kamoes that’s just my opinion

Tekken 8 is dying way faster than SF6. It's got p bad steam numbers. check it out. There still a large evo following for now mostly crossover/asian audience but the game is still really new & the numbers dont lie that it's dying.

Damn now I'm not gone lie, Losty saying she is done is pretty bad, she's been building her channel around MK for a good while now and I've seen her legitimately enjoy having fun playing MK and interacting with her fans. There is nothing they can do for Season 2 MK that is going to change the game enough to have it recover. Anything in Season 2 will just be a flash in the pan and then everything will go back to being mediocre again.

saying mkx is peak is the biggest cope. i started with mk4 and really hate the direction the series is heading after mk9. all these content creators scared to speak up about how trash mk1 is..? why were all these people playing it all this time and only opening their mouth now? its dead in the water thanks to bs injustice and wb. bring tobias back and focus on real story and lore and cut the kombat back to basic attacks and specials.

I "started off" with MK1, in 1992, and MKX is, objectively, the best fighting game NRS have made -- period. Now, MKX isn't the best _fighting game,_ or anywhere near it -- there is a slew of Capcom, SNK, Namco, and even lesser developers' games which play far better than MKX does. It's just that, when measured in gameplay, roster, content, and presentation weight, none of the NRS games can hold a candle to the sum of MKX's parts. Sure, MK9 was arguably, superficially more "MK-y", and maybe even had a better roster; MK11 had "more content" and "better graphics"; and Injustice 2 might have had better presentation overall... But, the fact remains that MKX had the best of their gimmicky "custom character" systems ("Variations") and one that actually, even if only in part, worked; had the closest atmosphere to the original games (dark-comedic); still kept the characters' personas intact; had the best guests (all horror movie characters); worked properly (no "player-2 cannot use X, Y, or Z unlockables which they paid for" type Judaisms); and the game is and was a *complete* product that can be returned to without having to ping some WB sever, verify "ownership", or the player be victimised by 15 different "DLC" racketeering scams just to get a complete and functional product. The only arguable down sides to MKX were its net code (which was utterly awful), its story mode (meh), and its lack of non PvP content (only a throw-away story mode). Notwithstanding, today, it's the only MK we go back to and that provides some inebriated poops n' giggles; as well as being the only one cited by fans, veterans, pros, and casuals alike, as being the one MK game that they, to whatever degree, liked (even my uber casual mate gets a kick out of being abused by my broken Jason Vorhees). The next best thing being Injustice 2, and there is daylight between those two games. So, even if one has some pet peeve with MKX, it's silly to claim that it wasn't the best of the WB era, NRS offerings... Keeping in mind that MK was never a "proper" fighting franchise to begin with, and that it was largely popular for its gore, lore, and kool kharaters galore; certainly not its clunky, janky, wonky, largely busted gameplay. For MKX objectively was (is) a decent fighting game; I'd go as far as to wager that, had NRS done an "MKX Redux" instead of the turd they squelched, and slapped 50 characters into the game, a la MK: Armageddon, it would have doubled SF6's entrants at Evo this year, as its meagre player base not now be in the process of exodus--less than year after release... A claim that cannot be reasonably made about any other MK game. Like it or not, MKX was for NRS what SFIII Third Strike was for Capcom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Obviously, the fighting system is off. Since this game was released, do you experience responsiveness issues such as blocking on time, getting grabbed while it's your turn and your character is clearly down poking before the grab/hit? Even when you know you let go of block in time, your character is somehow still blocking(and I'm NOT talking about up blocking) Also, hit box issues? For example, kenshi's sword or kicks will literally hit the opponent's face/body/legs but NO HIT? I experience this a lot against female characters. I went back to mk11 to test the responsiveness against a Kabal sweat and half the match I would flawless block in time. Everything is accurate in mk11 when it comes to game/character responsiveness. Most players can't react accurately with the added kameos system and character mix ups like rain for example. If they can fix the responsiveness alone, I'll be okay with how the game is.

I play MK1 and got the game back in Christmas I play the story mode it was okay but the only thing is very disappointing is the online and there’s no option to get rid of kamoes and is a part of the game I am saying this as a content creator that MK1 isn’t for me even MK11 is 10 times better then MK1 and is like you have to do an air juggle air combo / doing it with a kamoes and I just stop playing MK1 and moved on from it MK1 is just horrible awful invasion mode when is trying to be a game of Chess which makes me miss Krypt when you can unlock art costumes and a lot of stuff but invasion when you have to grind and level up is just awful and MK1 is still a dead game that no one wants to play anymore that’s just my opinion but I still play other games which is tekken 8 MK1 nah I just wish it was an option that they add 1 V 1 or added just kamoes that’s just my opinion

Tekken 8 is dying way faster than SF6. It's got p bad steam numbers. check it out. There still a large evo following for now mostly crossover/asian audience but the game is still really new & the numbers dont lie that it's dying.
@TracyCookie just check sf6 and it also got bad steam numbers recently. Compared to sf6, tekken 8 even with the special style and simplified imput it's not casual friendly
