Also, these scenes are obviously fairly improvised, so there are definitely situations when Jordan does feel somewhat embarrassed around Conan, because highly introverted people like Jordan aren't really that fond of a lot of hyperactive behaviour in public, even though Jordan of course is prepared for those things and most likely finds them hilarious most of the time.

Shoutout to the gentlemen in jackets in that cafeteria for going along with Conan's craziness. They seemed to have great time as well.
Compared to a lot of other countries he's visited, the Italians seem very at home and comfortable with Conan's wackiness.

I don't think so it's just different ways of connecting. Conan was over the top cause he's doing a comedy special. Jordan goes there to connect on his own time, to appreciate the food, art and culture, along with the way of life. I'm sure he appreciates the people too but is more introverted and does not get too personal with people. Also, it's a lot easier to connect when you are with at least one other person, he vacations alone, so people are generally put off by that unfortunately.

@burteriksson right, my main point wasn't really the age, but more in terms of experience, otherwise all deference goes to Letterman. Ferguson was in late night 2005-2014. Conan has been in the Late Night game from 1993 and still going strong. So when all the current late night hosts congregate, Conan is the most seasoned host.
