For fixing Error code 0-1012 (0) here is a potential solution if this video did not work for you, try each step if one doesn't work move down.
1. Clean-boot and attempt install.
2. Connect via wired internet and attempt install.
3. Disable proxy settings in inetcpl.cpl, reboot and attempt install.
4. Remove all third party virtual drive software(ie: O&O DiskImage, Alchohol 120%, etc), reboot and attempt install.

Reinstalled "older" office which I bought due to sudden request for activation code after years of use. MS does not acknowledge product code. Limited app opening countdown record is being kept somewhere and continues after removal and reinstall.
