Thank you for your videos. I’m just getting into tennis as my middle school son started playing in school. The topics that are probably basic for most are great for me! I pulled out the racket I played with (very recreational) 20 years ago and the grip had dry rotted. Thanks to you I put on new grip and over grip. I’ll pay for a restringing and good to go.
I buy cheap tacky overgrips off Amazon, £7 for 12 so like $10 I think, my hands sweat so much when I play that I change them every week or so as I play 7 days a week. Used to buy more premium ones although I can’t really tell a difference worthy enough to spend twice the money. I’m getting another couple of rackets to tension at the different tensions you mentioned in another video so I’m going to be getting through even more of them soon 😂
Originally pink! Wow! Hahahaha! That's amazing. I will say that one way to make your overgrip last a little longer is use a clorox/lysol wipe on it after you play. But still... wow!
It wasn't just the overgrip that was pink. The grip underneath was also pink. I mean the overgrip was grimy, so it should've been changed sooner, but the grip underneath was actually fine.
@@GonzoTehGreatthe grip underneath is the replacement grip unless he has two over grips which is dumb. But the replacement grip doesn’t get touched that’s why it still looks good
Thanks! I have friends who keep overgrips for months or years without changing it. I have to change mine every 2 weeks or so when I play about 4 times a week. Off centre hits really hurt if the grip is old. To me I makes a bigger difference than a new stringjob. Good to know that I'm not delusional. :)
There's always that one friend that never changes their grip, and it just looks all frayed and nasty. I can't imagine how they can play with a grip like that. I'm just like you, the overgrip is the part of my racquet that I'm the most picky about.
Hi. Is it true that you should play a few hours with the grip before installing the overgrip, so that the overgrip stay in place and also so that when you remove the overgrip to replace it for a new one, the grip lasts more and is in a better state? Or can I simply install the overgrip immediately after installing a grip?
Decent advice but this guy talks way too slow and repeats himself 2-3 times. As if he’s talking to a five-year old. Could have been a two- minute video.

great advice. cheers mate
I think over grip is important to change you need to come to the match with advantage not a disavantage

Don’t even want to touch the old overgrip of the customer 😂
Where did you get the acrylic frames for the racquets? I‘ve been looking for something like this all over the internet.

What are u saying lol
Pink to gray? Thats just nasty but those wilsons are pretty strong
I would have washed my hands immediately after removing that grip, and that is coming from a pre-covid point of view.
damn i would not touch that over grip.....
