It reminds me of a closed version of kniss from Slovakia. My mother did not put mayonnaise in hers. She would roll the bread out flat, mix the cooked potatoes with cheddar cheese together and spread that on the bread and bake. I like your version because you get thin bread on top and bottom. How long approx does it take to cook both sides pls ?? this look so yummy....!!
Can you give more precise measurements for the recipe? I'm not sure what the glasses were. Like 1/2 a cup? Things like that or even grams can confuse me.
@@iamjustamomdoingthebestica6999 I think if she uses glasses throughout the recipe, then you can probably use whatever you want as long as if she says 2 glasses for one ingredient and 1 for another, you use the ratios of 2 of the first and 1 of the second.

From the great state of Texas, USA! I made this tonight for my hubs. I added sausage to the filling and some butter to the frying pan. Sprinkled the top with some garlic salt and it looks and smells delicious. I am fasting so I cant partake but if he loves it I will make it again when I can.
UPDATE it was very delicious. Will definitely make it again!

Similar recipe is popular here in India and the same is called PRANTHA/PARATHA. It's a traditional bread from North India especially from Punjaab. The differences are we do not add myonnaise and the potato is spiced with finely cut onion, green chillie, coriander leaves, salt, turneric & carom seeds. It is baked on an iron plate called tawa, on a consistent & mild flame,..with ample oil or butter on either sides of the bread .
Anyways, I liked this recipe. 🌹👍🌹

This looks pretty nice. I think I would mix some onion in the potato, maybe even a light smattering of -cooked diced bacon- or powder that has no real pork in it and vegan approved.
