It's kind of surreal to look at this whole area (walk from driveway, gazebo, brick patio, pallet walkway garden, back garden, the vistas) and know that 3 years later it's almost all gone/changed beyond recognition.
OH MY, YOUR MOMENT OF GARDEN INSANITY!!! LOL I was having a really hard day because this is my first time without my mom on her birthday. I knew watching one of your garden tours would cheer me up Laura. My mom absolutely loved her flowers. I know she has the most beautiful one in Heaven now. Thanks so much for sharing your love of gardening with us.
Stone water feature for the lovely waterfall-like sound.
A stone water feature would look lovely with a waterfall sound
sitting on the sun porch.
Who beside me, would love to see Aaron put out a calendar?🥰 🗓 🌺🌾🌻💐🌳🌸🌿
Your garden video tours are food for the soul. I’m bed ridden now, so your garden is the only one I get to spend time in and enjoy. Thank you. God Bless.
God bless you, Edith! I'm sorry you are stuck in a bed. I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I am concerned that a day may come when I can't get up anymore. I'll be praying for you and I'm so thankful that one day soon, Jesus will show up and our bodies will be glorified and we won't know pain any longer! Hallelujah!
Until then, I, too, am so thankful for these 2 young people and their joy ajd energy and their gardens that bring me so much joy since I can't do all that I used to do, either.
Love in Christ Jesus,
Marian
Hey Edith, how are you doing? Hoping you're not stuck in bed any longer.
Does anyone save these long tours and videos like a little treat for yourself, or am I the only one?! I’ve saved this for just the right time to view! So now, Wednesday 7/31 at 5:15pm in NC is my time! Homemade beef bolognese simmering for dinner, lawn freshly mowed by my awesome teenage son in time for a rain shower and hubby on the way home from work...ahhhh time to relax and take a stroll through Laura’s garden! 🥰 I earned it lol! 💁🏼♀️
Watching this in June 2024, love all the changes over the years 😍
If my yard looked like yours I would never leave home.
Cus it’ll be paradise on earth
I don't see work that needs to be done. I only see all the work that has been done and it is absolutely beautiful. It's such an inspiration to me. Thank you so much for sharing.
Please don’t apologize for your content, I love being along for the ride! And, it’s probably helpful to your viewers to see how reconfiguring can can be a long-term benefit to one’s property.
You see a lot of work that needs to be done, we see pure beauty! 👏🏻 bravo!
Beautiful garden. Have learnt a lot from you. My only wish is that it would be allowed to mature over time.
After going back and forth through these as much as I do I’ll be able to take you through a tour of your own house someday
Do you ever sit back and think about how much you’ve accomplished in 3 years? Your garden is looking magnificent every year.
Your garden areas are coming to gather Beautifully 😍 I have been watching ...for some years now. I love the way you see the vision of what a area will look like. And you are not afraid to try and try again. I'm sure part of your good results is your passion for gardening. Thank you🥰🌺🥀🌻🪴🌲🌳🌾🏵💖
Thank you for keeping it real. I learn the most from you that way.
40 Blissful minutes to start the day!
What a beautiful garden. It is progressing so well. Each area is beautiful and growing so well. Loved all the different grouping and containers. Thanks so much for giving us a tour, the lane is beautiful with the haystacks on the fence. Love that. See you in the next one.
Your gardens are Heaven on earth.💕
I've just found your channel as I am looking for ideas to revamp my garden. What you have done for your property is beautiful and inspirational. Breathtaking!
An envious hello from Manchester, UK, where we are having endless torrential rain and my lavender is literally submerged. How beautiful your garden is and how infectious your enjoyment and enthusiasm.
Perfect morning! Garden tour and coffee!!!😊☕
Wow, what an awesome garden! Tending to it must be a full time occupation! Can’t imagine one having time for anything else!
You and Aaron are a gift to gardeners everywhere
YES ! . . . To Planting The Hedge Of Boxwood, At The Formal Entrance.
PŁ
Laura and Aaron your gorgeous gardens just take my breath away! 💕 💜 💚 💛 💗
I agree with planting boxwoods where the hydrangeas are planted in front of the porch.( minute 33). And I like the idea of moving the pine and putting in a fountain with some boxwoods with annuals in the summer for a little color. Thank you for the tour. I like "enjoy the vista" . That's my excuse for not weeding when the heat index is 100 like today. My gardens look lush and tidy from my windows.
Thanks for noting time 33:00
My thoughts exactly. I prefer to err on the side of more structure and formality. You cannot go wrong.
Karen Ross - likewise boxwoods in front of those hydrangeas will add the perfect structure. As for the other side I MHO a fountain might sound nice but against the white porch she needs greenery to add contrast. Gardening is such a personally creative endeavor they will figure out something perfect in the end.
One word: Dreamy ecstasy!!!! Cannot get enough of your videos...thank you!!
I've said it before... but your garden would be the perfect garden wedding venue. 😍
What a memory or passion for plants to remember the names and the care.
I started re-watching the garden tours last night because I love them so much. Thank you! Can't wait to see the results of the container competition 😍
I ALWAYS enjoy your garden tours. I don’t see anything past it’s prime. Every area is just gorgeous! I agree, putting a boxwood hedge in front of the limelight hydrangeas would be beautiful.
I'm just... amazed. God I have no words... what a huge home garden. Bravo for all of this!
I actually really like the look of that burlap sack as a curtain. Super cute and rustic!
Garden looks amazing so lush and full. 🌼 Thank you for sharing it!
Omg! Absolutely Gorgeous Garden! You are now my gardening guru! I'm blown away at how you can identify plants just by looking at them! How do you retain all those plant names?! Anyway, I'm just blown away by how stunning your garden is & all your hard work in keeping it looking amazing! I'm having lavender plant issues & have found all your videos super helpful! Thank you!
Coffee on the patio, nice weather now (going to be hot later) and Laura. Could not ask for a nicer morning!
Love the Fire Light Hydrangeas but have to say that my favorite plant in that area was 2 (?) years ago - King Tut. Remember how tall they grew. Amazing!
I agree, I must say I will always want to see those huge King Tuts in that spot. But with different annuals every year. :D
Great day to start with a cup of coffee thank you so much 👍🏽👍🏽
It's amazing how you plan so carefully, but yet so easily. Every inch of the property is a treat to experience. Thank you!
It's amazing...❤️
I would be so happy and grateful to have you as a friend and neighbor. I have my 72 year old parents and daughter that would love to have a garden like your parents 😊.... I am a sole provider for them and my daughter, and I trying my best to make there golden years memorable. It's a true blessing to have your videos and advice. God bless you and your family, and thank you so much for all your help and support. I wish you lived near me 😭
That "wind storm" legit looks like a flippin Tornado xD
There are so many things I love about your videos. They are always so positive, encouraging, and REAL. It makes me get out into my garden and do more. I have followed many of your tips so thank you for helping all of us! I really appreciate the great video work and editing too. Both of you put so much quality in your videos. You make a superb team!
Gorgeous. You've got colour in every bed and the different colours of foliage and texture also provide interest. I'm following this example now as I redo my gardens and I'm feeling very proud of myself for how much I've learned from your videos and actually have put into place. Thank you.
Everything is just beautiful!!! Don't we all wish to have a garden like yours, thank for the tour!
I had a golden raintree cut down three years ago and the seedlings are still absolutely crazy. There’s hundreds of not thousands of them in my yard, three years later, and they’re impossible to pull up. I would never want one again!
It looks wonderful! All the hard work is paying off. The hay racks are breath taking!
WOW just WOW!! Your home and gardens are truly beautiful and I can’t imagine the time and money you’ve invested to get it where it is! This is what I can only aspire and dream to have one day, and you have it now to enjoy! Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️❤️
Your yard is beautiful, I love your tours of your yard.
I would love to see the hayrack fence all lime green and white. Or silver and blue.
Your garden looks more beautiful every garden tour! If you are taking votes, I would love to see a fountain next to the front entrance :)
To do all this every year after the snow cyclone and all..You guys are really amazing Laura...Loads of love for this overdose of beauty
West side would make a beautiful moon garden!
Zucchini massacre and a moment of garden insanity!!! Love your descriptions. Everything looks wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing.
Your garden is absolutely beautiful.I wanted to say I live in hot and humid Arkansas and Pentas are on of my all time favorites.they do great in the humidity and the butterflies love them.I absolutely love your weeping willow tree with the statue.Coleus is another favorite.. you remind me of myself when I was young flowers have always been my love and my husband and I spent our retirement years landscaping our yard .now he’s passed and I live on a little lot in town but I still have beautiful beds and I can just watch you all day.also it’s such a joy to see Benjamin he’s so adorable.
Beautiful! Lots of respect on the amount of time you must spend maintaining all that beauty.
I love your garden tours! You are funny and genuine! Gardens always are evolving work and maintenance, but you keep yours beautifully!! I agree we need to see the beauty at every stage and not be frustrated over everything that needs done!! I don't know if you've ever heard of personality profiles, but you are definitely what they call a high C, you pay close attention to detail!! I know because I am too!! Your grounds are beautiful!!
You property is magical! Thank you for the garden tour. The view from one garden across the yard is gorgeous. I can’t believe how large the lambs ear is!! I’ve only seen small ones- beautiful. Everything is SO pretty! 🌸💝
I look forward to seeing your garden tours and am never disappointed. Wow it's beautiful. Thanks for showing us we appreciate all your hard work. Have a wonderful day and I can't wait to see the next tour.
I am impressed that you remember all those names of the plants😀
The funniest part was the trumpet playing in the background for the Zucchinis😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 that made me laugh so loud... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your chicken coop is the sweetest thing and, the garden surround couldn't be more beautiful .🌹❤
Thank you for making such a wonderful video. I can't say enough how much I love your garden. I see that you put a lot of time, money, and effort onto it. You are living the best life and you deserve it. Keep doing your great work.
Absolutely gorgeous. Heaven on earth.
Yes to the boxwood hedge in front of the hydrangeas. Maybe lined with some colourful annuals, if there’s room.
All your garden areas look fabulous. The Property looks much larger than you say it is. Very creative with what you’ve done with it. I am so jealous , wishing I had a yard. You do a wonderful job of showing them.
I love the quick flashback showing when you plant and what it looks like in year 2 or 3. It would be great to see full shows of before and after - is that something you could do?
Laura is correct about termites where places had too much rains. And termites are rooted to form bases such as palm tree mango and citrus trees and conifiers. Besides by the time they decide for pest control services, they can manage it.
the area between the gazebo and chicken coop is so beautiful!! it has such a magical feel ✨
My favorite part of your yard is that pallet walkway and your cottage garden!!
Your gardens are so beautiful! I have to remind myself you are a pro. I would for you to makeover my property! That chicken coop is so sweet and the landscaping is wonderful . As a lover of flowers you gardens take my breath away ! I just love everything !
I am in LOVE with your garden! So much inspiration and ideas for my own! Thank you for the wonderful in depth tour!!!!!
I'm stuck at the traffic, but it doesn't matter as long as I have a long Garden Answer video. 😍😍 love from Philippines.
garden tour??? You mean a country tour surely? It's HUUUUUUGE....that would be my vacation home, my everyday home, my marriage venue, my deathbed...the lot...i'd never leave. Love love love some of the plants, esp. the ground cover...I dont know the first thing about gardening, though I'm trying to learn very late in the day, and your videos are food for the soul. And I have to say, you seem like a delightful person, hardworking, cheerful, and blessed. Benjamin will be growing up in paradise :)
My goodness Laura and Aaron, all I see is beauty, everywhere I look, so many gorgeous things that I can't get enough of. I see so many things that I can incorporate into my own small garden, that on a small scale should be amazing as well. I just really loved this tour, and get so excited when I see it posted. I'm just so totally in aww at the amount of work you and Aaron do to keep this so beautiful and then you share all of this beauty with us. It's so fun to see the chickens and the coop, that flower bed around it is just gorgeous, I also love that pallet walk, I would love to see if I could maybe do a small version in my own yard, I just love everything about your garden and thank you both so much for having this channel to share all of this with us, it is truly a treat. See you again soon, bye for now.
Since I'm in Kansas and can't tour your beautiful gardens in person...I'll take the next best thing! Thank you for sharing with us. Garden goals for sure😍
I love how you tell us the name of each plant. You have helped me so much. Thanks 😊
I can’t believe how GORGEOUS your gardens are becoming. It’s been sooo fun watching you tweak and build something your family truly loves. So glad to hear you say you are leaning toward the white for the long front entrance. You’ve got beautiful examples of cottage style gardens in a couple places. We have yet to see you go all out on an entirely white garden and whenever you do a tiny container in you, your joy is palpable. I think we would all love to see how happy you would be creating a gleaming, glowing, restful, wistful, peaceful white garden entrance to your home. Also, I think the boxwood hedge in front of the hydrangeas at the front of the house would be lovely. The you could back plant with something more wild or natural looking if you wanted or keep it nice and tidy. Maybe you could continue the hedge to the other side and help bring some of that balance you were talking about. Whatever you do, it will be lovely and we will love watching it. Thanks for all you do. 💚💛💜💚💛💜💚💛💜
Thank you , Thank you .......Thank YOU. What a treasure you are. Thanks for sharing.
I love how you stopped at the "girls" intro as if they'd say "Hey!" This is so encouraging; the names of things come across fast, I find myself rewinding to write them down. Also love how you touched on the weather aspect of things knowing that "we're not in charge" of what happens. I'd love to see a video on a water system or starting one. I have just a few beds around our home nothing at all like what you have of course but never stop these videos! Wonderfully encouraging.
I am in awe that you remember all those names.
The chickens will love those rose flowers🐓
I like the idea of a boxwood hedge on both sides to help balance the area.
Just beautiful. Fantastic. Looks like you have some space under the door of your chicken coop. You can dig in some wide thick pavers or a single thick limestone paver and make it flush to the ground (a threshold) which will keep the gravel from shifting and things from digging under that door or the girls from digging at it. Just love everything.
You absolutely have the enthusiasm & energy of a true gardener, & those qualities came through to me in this, the first video garden tour I've taken with you. Very nice production values, great camera work, & being a gardener myself, I could listen to you talk about your plants, your plans & your plagues all day long. An interest in gardening is a blessing & what you've got to work with there -- all I can say is CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks for the video. Loved it.
Oh my goodness!!! You and Aaron have taken what was okay when you moved in to your home only 3 years ago and made it a literal floral masterpiece!!! You may see what needs done but all I see is the beauty and glory of God's beauty that y'all have created in that high desert area.
Thank you so much for sharing that beauty with us and encouraging us to keep making our areas, no matter how big or small into the beauty that we desire to see when we look out or walk out into our yards!!!
God's best to all 3 of you and the cats and the garden, too. And, special prayers for your zucchini plant!
Love you guys to pieces!!!
Marian
YES to the boxwood hedge in front of the limelights! I think that will be stunning.
Such a beautiful garden. Benjamin is one lucky boy to have it to explore and play in🤩
This is seriously my favorite channel!!! I look forward to Garden Answer every morning with my coffee💗
This year has been a great one for everyone's white azaleas. They have been gorgeous 😍
Watching this in October. So sad 😭. Come back summer !!
Every time you say look down this way...vista...it takes my breath away. Especially the first one with the black bench. The first thought I had was this vista reminds me of a scene in Notting Hill. I too love the expanse of green lawn ever so often, a place for the eye to rest. 💚🌺🌿✨Thank you so much and thank you Aaron for the perfect squash 🎼.🤣 Oh yes to planting the hedge of boxwood.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden!
I find that trimming the limelight hydrangeas tree hard in the spring creates stronger branches. That can support the blooms and will not flop down when it rains. Also, train the climbing Rose's in an S form on the trellis. Helps in creating more blooms. Thanks for sharing your garden. Enjoyed the video.
The deer loved the Sunflowers that i planted last year. Yum.
I knew it! Yey! 💯 Garden tours are my fave Garden Answer video 😍🥰
Love, Love, Love. You are so talented.. my goodness! I love every inch of your garden. Thank you!
For the west side, while I think all white is pretty, I think adding one other color would be lovely. Shades of purple and lavender so you have lots of options for different types of plants, plus the white and green. That'd go really well with the colors in the rest of your garden. 😊
Love, love, love! Thanks again, Laura for more inspiration
Thank you so much for sharing. I keep checking if a video is out. Coz in India its time for evening coffee and it just gets awesome with your videos. It’s my wish to meet you in person one day. Maybe some day.
I've had insane squash bug infestations in the past; this year I planted nasturtiums and marigolds around my plants and I haven't had a single problem. Good luck!
A beautiful and inspirational garden tour. Your hard work and dedication have paid off.
Yes! So glad you did a full garden tour, I’ve really been jonesing for it. I love seeing how your garden evolves from one space to the other and how it all fits together as a whole. Thanks again Laura and Aaron I so appreciate all your hard work and creativity, your videos are my favorite way to start the day. 🥰
