Last time we talked about the approach for handing out awesome shots to Marketing and PR Agencies (which are more consistent and always preferred) as freebies to encourage a response and a conversation, instead of emailing to nag for free contact connections.
Watch that video if you need to catch up - there is a reason we are making Panoramas here folksss!!!!!
We also mentioned that this is dramatically easier to gain attention and a following with vs. posting your non-relevant business/service/product onto Instagram hoping to get attention from bots or people who don’t care.
Here we go over:
1. shoot raw
2. shoot panoramas
3. Shoot CONDITIONS
4. Slower shutter + sunset lighting for even tones instead of mid-day
5. Edit with adobe Lightroom - DON'T use the default jpg from DJI app with the Panorama photos.
Hope it helps, comment any other advice if you've got it (the really helpful kind)
I’ve been flying drones for about five years. On top of that I’ve been a photographer for about 20 years. But your suggestion about setting the drone to always take a large panoramic shot was just shocking to me - in a good way! I have taken panoramas when I needed a panorama but I never thought about taking a shot, of say a house, much closer and using the panorama in that way. Thank you for such a stunning aha!
Holy shit this gotta be one of the most straight foward and incredible real advice i've seen. Thanks deeply.
Your content deserves more views than the other guy.
ahh i do it for the fans thank you dude
@@QuickAssTutorials I live in Phoenix also, and am about to be licensed. I have the same drone. What do you mean shoot in raw? Help a brother out.
@@Delta-gx4fm Late reply but I think on anything that isnt mavic mini that DJi makes its DNG format
@@Delta-gx4fm raw means no filters, straight out of the camera and no editing
@@Delta-gx4fm no one gave you a staight answer so i guess ill answer it. RAW is a file format for images like JPEG or GIF or PNG... RAW is just more capable becuase it collects more data from what the camera is seeing and allows you to make better edits. You shold take a crash course in phtoography, it helped me when i was in college.
6:40 "You have an alternative...and that's just to suck." (regarding alternatives to Adobe Lightroom). LMFAO!!!! You got me man! hahahahahaha!!!! Subscribed!
I laughed out loud for real at that part.
This guy has most "Straight to the point" videos.
I’m so so happy I found this channel! I’m new into photography and just bought my first decent drone, Mavic Air 2. Really appreciate all the info in such a short time!
LOVE your no nonsense, straight to the point delivery style! Instant sub!
Just discover this channel recently and I love the pace, just get right into the point without long interm shots or footage.
This is probably the only channel that I feel I would slow it down then speed it up.
Thank you so much! I hope your channel grows because you deserve it!
SO MUCH VALUE in this video, I want to hug YOU carrot man!! T_T
Alex...I LOVE your wit. But more so...you knowledge and education for us novices are beyond helpful. Thanks much buddy!
I work in UAV mapping so I wont use much of this for work but I just wanted to say that this is one of the most effective, concise, tutorials Ive ever seen on anything. You got a sub from me man. Your work is beautiful btw
Even promoting his course is so concise. Just says "you have a discount of 100 dollars. Otherwise, watch the videos" and that's it. So satisfaying to not have some dude sell his stuff for half an hour. Almost makes me want to takes his course lmao
you are actually so hilarious and to-the-point, LOVE IT. and super solid advice too, we thank you!
i notice the views to like ratio, most ppl who stop by like your videos cuz its awesome content. Thank you!!
I'm done on "shoot in raw is like having access to all the fridge, not just the lunchbox " :)
THX a lot !
Great stuff, I like the no-nonsense attitude. I like how you just tell it like it is - also like seeing another AZ local
I just discovered your channel. Awesome advises. Wonderful photos. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the inspiration. Im a photographer/videographer moving into drone and I just picked up the mavic air because of your videos. Thanks again
Definitely needed these tips. I always shoot in raw but shoot panorama makes much sense. That's something I need to practice!!
Been shooting landscapes for a while now, with a regular camera, on foot, like a pleb. What I've learned so far is to use ISO 100 (or less if lens allows it), F stop depends how much DoF you want. I don't know if you want a bokkeh effect when shooting panoramas so I think you are right to say in the middle might work best, F5-F7. I don't know how good the gimbals are (I use a tripod) so I am worried about the shutter speed in drones and not having the desired sharpness. Your pictures look great though.
One of the best pieces of photography advice I have ever heard is that you should only ever share the best 10% of your work. And I think that only applies if you're a really good photographer - for the rest of us, it's more like the best 1%. Especially with digital, photos are cheap. Take tons and then delete all but the ten best. Then throw away another 5. And then maybe save two And then maybe the remaining ones are good enough to share?
For me its share those final 2, then nobody cares, put out that 3rd place just for the heck of it. EVERYBODY wants to use the shot. I can never tell which will stick or what peoples fickle interests are they always switch but casting a medium net and making sure none of it sucks (recently) helps a lot. Particulars like conference venues, resorts, shopping malls or things like that also get bonus points because someone in marketing for these places will see it and at least THEY will like it haha
You are an experienced photographer my guy it takes a long time to get to you’re level that’s why I will start with Dronebase first until I build up experience first and a badass portfolio. Also I have a Mavic Pro Platinum and a Phantom 4 Professional ✊🏾
Hooooooly shiiiiiit! I had no idea the layers of the drone game! Very illuminating!
Great Video mate, really well done.
Great information, you suggestion of taking panoramic shots in non traditional settings is brilliant. Thanks for sharing that, and all the other awesome information in this video.
Great shot of the Lake Murray dam at 5:49!
Just discovered your channel, this is really great information, thank you for investing the time and energy it takes to put all this together!
GREAT ADVISE !!! Love your techniques and locations !!!Thinking about getting into this field. Thanks again !!
Haha - Whenever I go to Filming jobs - I am the weirdo that brings the Fridge to work! Never just 1 camera and a few batteries, I bring my broadcast van with Streaming capabilities, off-grid power multiple tripods 2 drones, 1 spare camera, 10kms of cable, 500m of Power cable, Atomos Infernos, etc.
But do you think I can remember to pack a spare roll of Gaffa tape...FFS!
Now here's a professional. My kingdom for a roll of gaff tape. XD
Thank you on the ISO I do not understand why people practice using it. Like immediate Image degradation
I bought an air 2s, its got the 1" sensor, learning alot here, I had a mini 2 but it wasnt very good with low light pics and it started taking crooked pictures for some reason so i took it back
Hahaha.. your vídeos aren't just informative but I like your funny comments. Always full of good advice.. thank you
@ᴛᵉˡᵉᵍʳᵃᵐ ᵐᵉ@officialquickasstutorials scammer
This was great info. I will try shooting in panorama. I’m still learning Lightroom but even just the little I have done has dramatically improved my photos. Thanks for sharing this.
Man, your videos are great
This videos are so good
Solid content. I second everything you said about Lightroom. I started using it at work a couple years ago just to learn it and try it out, and suddenly I was a wizard to all my coworkers. It is relatively easy to learn, and everything you need for the photos is right there.
Panorama is great, too. I got some shots of a couple of the school campuses for college I work for, and they came out great. I need to find a better way to stitch the images, though, because there was some weird geometry with the center bottom images.
Wow, knocked my socks off. I have so much to learn. I use Davinci Rsolve 16--so I'm assuming I need to spend LOTS of time in the color mode to learn to make FANTASTIC video like yours!
You are seriously underrated
Great tutorial👍 thinking differently now thanks for sharing and subbed 👍
Great content!
Great information man, good video thanks
it said I won a prize?
Thank you again for the video!
Thank you so much 🙏 Your videos really inspire me 😊 and motivate me also. Well done 👍🏻
Bro.. your videos are addicting!! I got to go to bed.................... 2am.......zzz
Love your vids my dude. Looking to get started into it! You've given me a great perspective and direction. Keep up the great work!
Awesome photography and tips! Def going to try this with my Mavic Air 2
Thank you 🔥
Awesome content man and great drone footage. Thanks for sharing such great advice. Subbed I hope to see more of your content.
Lots of shots in Switzerland! Are you often around ?
Is that Lake Murray at 5:54? It's so surreal seeing your own backyard!
I am a carrot farmer and I am offended by you saying I'm boring. *kidding... no I'm not.
thank you. Your a G! really appreciate it
My man I feel like the drone market is super saturated here in Alberta Canada. I’ll still try to get some great shots but I definitely feel like it’s all been done here
Great videos. Thanks for the content. Definitely worth the subscribe!
Love the video! I have been taking bracketed photos with M2P and merge her in Lr and they increase the dynamic range by 10x
I have this drone too. Have you been able to make money with it?
Toasted Tarts yes I been able make money with M2P.
Brian Macdonald what types of jobs have you done?
If anyones curious this actual course is worth the money!
Excellent content! what do you use to edit video?
Great Work 👍
Is nobody complaining about you flying your drone in this spots ?
so in nutshell. how make monie drone photographing is buy good mic and make video how make monie drone photographing, thats is marketing to tell people you are making lotsa monie even not sell anything yet xD
Thanks alot for all the useful info 🔥
Loved the joke about not using Lightroom. You have another option, that is just to suck.
Stupid question, buut "Panorama" picture, does that mean just a nice well angled shot or do you need to use a special mode in the drone to add pictures on the sides?
Is lightroom any good if i'm used to draw matte paintings in photoshop?
Great videos but I'll never be able to do drone photography because of the horrendous licensing requirements for anything the least bit commercial.
Just getting started (newly retired military vet). Would love to know your opinion of the DJI Mini 2 for a start? Looking to start shooting for real estate sales.
why with marketing and PR agencies want photos like this?
but how can you earn from photos where you would need a commercial license for? like the castle you have neuschwanstein is NO fly zone. And its most complicated to figure out how to even fly commercial somewhere.
The Mavic Mini shoots in JPEG. Is there a way to make it shoot in raw?
I just hate that my Mavic Mini can’t shoot RAW
quickasstutorials!
Hey, thanks for sharing these 2 videos, I d like to know if with a Dji Mini 2 I won't get anywhere with the suggestion you gave panoramic 9 stack pics etc or if to actually be serious I need to aim to another drone?
I have incredible panormas here, there is pandemic so incredible pics could be shot ...
Here rules are restrictive so basically the mini 2 would play a great job at stealing picture from anywhere ... "even from roofs"...
great videos ! thanks ! is that landscape you're filming at Germany or Italy ? the mountains are gorgeous
That is USA. Anyway Italy has incredible things every hundreds of km ... it's a very particular place.
Thanks great advice! Could i get shots and videos kind of like these with the Mavic Air 2? Or is the Mavic Pro 2 really needed?
Thanks in advance, im a beginner.
Man. This dudes blood pressure is through the roof.
Go sit down bro. Have a glass of water.
Do you think I can make money with an Air 2 Mini?
5:30. Shutter speed
Great info!!! Just got into drone cinematography with a Mavic Pro and Inspire 1 V2.0. Please keep making videos. If I took your advanced course, would it include the entry level material? May I have the discount code? Thanks again!
I have few Questions, is the mavic air 2 good enough to make money with for real estate photos and videos or should I return it and just get the mavic 2 pro? Do you have any tutorials on how to edit in lightroom? I know its about the time you put in like it is with anything, but how long did it take you before you started to make money?
Hi, do you make your panoramas manual or with the automatic setting on the drone?
Hey great channel shoot on Raw period .. not Raw+JPEG ??
if you want both for whatever reason. I only wind up using the RAWs but if you want the JPEG also just to look at for... idk why, then it'll save both
@@QuickAssTutorials cool
Do you think it is reasonable to use Mavic Air 2 and make money on photo/video? Or only Pro 2?
Can you edit color on video?
Hey bro what’s your pc set up
Hey Alex!!the classes look amazing! In the video you mention a code for $100 off it doesn’t seem to work for the A to Z class. Am I missing something? I’m looking forward to taking your courses. Cheers!

Hello, thank you for the useful info. Could you please let me know which monitor are you using for edits? thank you :)
I've got a 1440p Samsung 34 inch from amazon. I care more about the size than 1440 vs 4k, however at least 1440p makes a huge difference to me. I also don't like having two monitors, just one big one
Is the mavic mini good enough to start an small aireal photography business
Too shakey and the photos you get from it are good *for a $400 drone* but they're only JPEG not RAW. You're uncle with a farm wouldn't tell the difference at all, but professional work wouldn't be cool with it
@@QuickAssTutorials but for like wedding photos for example
Thank you for the videos! What is your Instagram handle? I'm having trouble finding you.
Holy sh!t I just learned more in the past say 12 minutes than I have just poking around during the past week or so and so. And I didn't pay a %$#^in dime. (And especially not to some predatory preppy arsehole to boot! "MY COURSE WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!" Ha, no. It wont.) You're the sh!t though, man. Just thought you should know.
1. I dont have a drone
2. my laptop screen quality isnt good enough for editing...
I love you, but you talk way to slow.
You talk too fast.
I feel like you edit so heavily, it's barely the real thing.
Holy shit this man just DUMPED knowledge on us
When you say 200$ an hour how do you charge people. Was it time spent out taking pictures, does it include editing?
Well it should. It should include getting to the place, actually shooting whatever you're shooting, driving back home, editing photos, etc etc
invoice your skills
Posts amazing video of great photography tips. Finishes by saying get $100 dollars off my carrots. Genius. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
bro, i love this. so straight forward and honest. Subscribed
You are AWESOME! I have learned soooo much from your RUclips videos. Thank you!
What do you use to edit apple or windows pc ? Thanks Al
What do you think about going to the beach....and asking people if they want to walk down the beach and be filmed by a drone as a great recorded Memory....at sunrise or sunset....holding hands and filmed from the front, side and back, and charging them say $50....ten of those a day and it's a $500 day while you are relaxing on the beach and people watching! LOL
You should do a Phoenix DJI mini club or practice shoot with other drone photography enthusiasts. (Ahwatukee/phx)
