HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

Amazing! I love Sikh langers. I am a Muslim and I occasionally go to Sikh temples over here in Atlanta Georgia for good food and to socialize with my sikh community.
I really appreciate the concept of langar in Sikhism. In every gurudwara they offer food to anyone who is hungry. Regardless of you religion, past, colour or country. The people volunteering there are from rich to poor. From rohingya crisis to earthquakes in Nepal, they have organised langars to help people for thousand of people everyday. Spread love.
Hey dude, Thanks for coming in Punjab and visit Golden Temple. Our Punjabi culture is very different from others, We are brave, intelligent and innocent people, we help everyone... Our Punjabi culture is very Rich in whole world. I feel proud I'm Punjabi. Thanks to all
I have been to India and the Punjab, Golden Temple. I still remember to this day how amazing the roti and dhaal tastes. It was so good, words cannot explain. A memory I will never forget.

Sikhi is the essence of humanity!! Go read and understand Sri Guru Granth Sahib! It is all about love!!! Just try to understand the mool mantra (first stanza of Sri Guru Granth Sahib) and you will have more knowledge than you every learned!
Sikhism is a very new religion as compared to christianity. Guru Nanak wrote the main doctrine of Sikhism, and according to history, he was a very educated man, who travelled across asia and into the middle east. So it is very possible that sikhism took into consideration aspects of other religions and kind of summarized/got rid of/ created new ways to appreciate life.
The greatest thing! All relegions, all communities or every aspect due to which the world is getting divided, are served under one roof with same happiness and respect,This is HUMANITY!
India is a melting pot of religions but we respect each other. The media only reports the rare misunderstandings that happen! We are a peace loving nation. The Golden Temple is a great example of this.Free Food is given to anyone who comes to the temple This is where you are one with everybody, whether you are rich or poor! There is a sense of oneness.. unity. That is the beauty of India, my country.
Mr Obamamacita gursikh stands for guru's Sikh. They have to abstain from four kurehats- 1. Cutting or trimming of hair or Kesh 2. Fornication or adultery 3. Eating Halal meat or "Kuthha" meat 4. Use of tobacco and intoxicating drug So, anyone without turban/has cut hair cannot be gursikhi. SPGC states that sehajdhari those who have expressed their desire to adopt Sikhism slowly and gradually, its doctrines, ethics and tenants with belief in Shri Guru Granth Sahib and the 10 Gurus. SGPC adds that A Sahajdhari Sikh is a person who performs ceremonies according to the Sikh rites; who does not use tobacco, kutha (halal meat) in any form, who is not a patit and who can recite mulmantra. Canadian sikhs can be in those category, but most probably they are not, because they are not proceeding towards being Sikh, but claim to be Sikh already. Once they become keshdhari, they cannot cut their hair, so again the Canadians do not belong to this category. Most Canadian sikhs are mona sikhs or mona sardars. Mona Sardar or Mona Sikh is a term applied to a male of Sikh heritage who does not keep the basic Kakkar of Kesh or untrimmed hair. Mona means bald or clean shaven or trimmed hair. According to the Sikh Rehat Maryada, the cutting of hair is a bujjer kurahit (deeds of an apostate). An example of an Indian mona Sikh is yuvraj Singh. So I was correct in my assumption that you did not wear a turban. Even if I didn't know what those terms were before, I know them now.
Mr Obamamacita yes, and they are slowly encouraged to follow the practices of gursikhs. They are the newly initiated. The ones in Canada have already been baptised by their Sikh family, and are not new entrants to the Sikh religion. Thus leniency of rules (like not cutting kesh) is only applicable for those who are converting to Sikhism, not for those who have already been baptised. Previously, you had mentioned that most Canadian sikhs are gursikhs. What I proved was that your assumption was incorrect.
Hey James, I'm your fans from China (Fujian Province). Thank you so much for making this video and I love the way that you didn't rate the food here. You are so inspirational, kiss and hugs!
I just had a feeling you would love Punjab! The Sikh are loving people all over the world no matter where they are from or where they settle. I am half Sikh half English myself and I had this Punjabi experience going back to see my father's roots and I'll tell you it was quite the experience. The community feel you get where people are selflessly helping others makes you feel so happy and makes you want to help others yourself! Khalsa Sikhs don't eat meat but Punjabi's do, it's not religious since the book says meat is like medicine which can heal you if you are low on nutrition and is the opposite of what Hindus believe which is everything is sacred and cannot be touched. When you do get the chance, try out Chicken Tangri, some of the best chicken you'll eat out there, I literally lived off that on my one month stay in Punjab. Love the vids, keep them coming!
Jameslawz You have a lot of misconceptions about what Hindus eat and their ways. There are a lot of Hindu temple which offer free food to people as well. A lot of Hindus eat meat. The temples much like the langars do not serve meat.
Possibly, I didn't mean to offend you my friend! It's just what I know that Hindus are strictly Vegetarian (although not all) and I know for a fact the ones here in the UK don't follow that strict rule and pig out on hamburgers and such but could you really consider them Hindus? (religiously?). Either way, I didn't mean to pose that as an attack on the Hindu faith, just showing the difference between Sikhs and Hindus since we like to carry our own identity and Trevor has been going all around India which is like 98% Hindu. Although we have differences we also have allot of similarities so lets not dwell on which that divides us.
Jameslawz Well, you're really informed as I previously stated. Hindu diet was previously governed by the kind of work a person did, people with a sedentary lifestyle had a prescribed diet of mostly vegetarian food while warriors and people who did back breaking work we're prescribed a protein and consequently meat heavy diet. Again, for a Sikh your understanding of what a Sikh means is very wrong. The honorific of Singh was given to every first born son of a Hindu family who would voluntarily join the khalsa to protect Dharma.
+Jameslawz You are so wrong. Only about 80% of India is Hindu. And there is no such rule that Hindus have to be strictly vegetarian. Only 30% of Hindus are vegetarians. Most Hindus eat meat whether fish or chicken. There is nothing wrong with eating hamburgers.
The Temple, The Culture and The People of INDIA is so amazing. Everyone should know the principle behind this practice. Good job Trevor.. Best Video to start my 2018 !!!
I have lived in Amritsar for 5 years, and whenever we usd to bunk the schools, we used to go golden temple. There was a free bus service at that time which used to run from all corners of city to golden temple. Sikh people are best people.
The Golden Temple is heaven. The peace that one senses there cannot be described. Trevor love the respect that you have shown here. Your shows are amazing.
Trevor. I love that you and Ting went to a place of worship run by the community, and helped with some of it. You didn’t just consume you also gave back. Then enjoyed your meal. So much respect!
He is so respectful of other cultures, countries and people. That is only one of his qualities that I admire in him. I can see why so many people find him honourable and watch his videos regularly.
thank you Trevor for your respect and love to our Punjabi culture. Harmandir sahib (golden temple) is heaven on this earth , everyone is welcome here no discrimination on any kind of caste ,religion or gender etc. whether you are billionaire or a beggar you'll sit together and have your langar (meal) . This is beauty of your Sikh religion , we respect humanity more than anything else . waheguru (god) bless you buddy .
Well done trevor and ting. One of the best episodes yet. Loved how you got deep in the heart of the food making process. Makes for excellent viewing. Thanks again.

Jonatan A. Allin Logan Paul is a Kiddo.....he should be grown and learn Humanity first..then he should visit thia place to have the real feel of humanity......
Trevor, I'd like to say "Thank you" for this episode. Though I've seen another temple experience at "the best ever food review show" of Sonny first, I really appreciate this too. You gave me another sight of it, from a different angle. I am not religious in a specific way (I wasborn and raised christian), but I feel connected to nature and kindness against all being. The warmth and willingness to help of the volunteers inspire me. Also they welcome every human being (not just in absolute and desperate need) to a free meal, which is amazing. I will never understand, that people are hated for skin-colour, religion, believes or sexual interests. This is an example of how to behave against others. Again "Thank you" for sharing your experience with us all. Keep on your amazing work.
This was emotionally beautiful to watch. Such a generous and giving ppl. You captured the essence of this culture so well trevor the hospitality shown here was truely a remarkable one to see.
Wow! That's incredible... We donate a lot in the USA but it's usually for the sick, elderly, or homeless... That temple looks so beautiful... And the food looks awesome... Never seen such huge vats of different foods and so many people enjoying it... Wish I could visit...
Okay I can't help it but I need to say. You're a wonderful, beautiful and really a respectful human being Trevor. You know how to respect any culture, its ways. Your passion for food and your love for it shows in your work. They way you showed interest in helping out and learning more amazes me every time I watch you. Thank you for making this India tour so spectacular with your simplicity and kindness.

Lol ignorant.... this so called 'propoganda' by you is a conspiracy by RSS to create a Sikh-Hindu divide which they are trying to create since 1966. This has only intensified under Modi's rule. Rss is now openly provoking hindu punjabis to rebel against the Sikhs and adopt Hindi language & culture. They have succeeded to a large extent.

Apne Punjabiyan toh Bharat Desh ki shaan he....Love from Maharashtra, India 😇...
Our Punjabi culture is very different from others,
We are brave, intelligent and innocent people, we help everyone...

Charlie Kent if they're a peaceful religion why do they wear daggers?
I love how he respects and appreciates every country he visits!, he’s got a friendly and positive personality, wishing everyone would be like him!
The Sikhs are amazing people. There's so much to learn from them.
Tajinder Singh na bhai I'm Bangladeshi
Sikhi is the essence of humanity!! Go read and understand Sri Guru Granth Sahib! It is all about love!!! Just try to understand the mool mantra (first stanza of Sri Guru Granth Sahib) and you will have more knowledge than you every learned!
I live in England and I traveled to Punjab and went to the golden temple, .......Amazing place
The Sikhs have a very large and kind heart towards people. I wish we Christians and other religions will learn from this💕💕💕💕😍😍😍
Mzz_Thaophy Deoty thanku dear..
thank you dear Most welcome to punjab
Sikhism is a very new religion as compared to christianity. Guru Nanak wrote the main doctrine of Sikhism, and according to history, he was a very educated man, who travelled across asia and into the middle east. So it is very possible that sikhism took into consideration aspects of other religions and kind of summarized/got rid of/ created new ways to appreciate life.
These people are The Angels of the World! How would be our planet with generous whealty people.....
❤️☺️

Thanks bro
Not every sikh are punjabi only who lived here are known as punjabi
India is a melting pot of religions but we respect each other. The media only reports the rare misunderstandings that happen! We are a peace loving nation. The Golden Temple is a great example of this.Free Food is given to anyone who comes to the temple
This is where you are one with everybody, whether you are rich or poor! There is a sense of oneness.. unity.
That is the beauty of India, my country.
Amrita Iyengar proud of our country
Mr Obamamacita oh look, a khalistani Canadian. I bet you don't even wear a turban.
Mr Obamamacita gursikh stands for guru's Sikh. They have to abstain from four kurehats-
1. Cutting or trimming of hair or Kesh
2. Fornication or adultery
3. Eating Halal meat or "Kuthha" meat
4. Use of tobacco and intoxicating drug
So, anyone without turban/has cut hair cannot be gursikhi.
You are so inspirational, kiss and hugs!
our sikh brothers are so nice ♥
Lots of love from Pakistan
The kurtah and pagh suits you so well.
Singh is king love from tamilnadu🙌🙌🙌

''OUT OF RESPECT WE ARENT GONNA RATE THE FOOD HERE''....DUDE A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF RESPECTING OTHER'S CULTURES.
He owned it.
Curvy M Gomes food dustribution is quite common here in India. "Food is life".
Wow! That's incredible... We donate a lot in the USA but it's usually for the sick, elderly, or homeless... That temple looks so beautiful... And the food looks awesome... Never seen such huge vats of different foods and so many people enjoying it... Wish I could visit...
JS Krawz ...........most welcome.........
JS Krawz there a lot of Sikh Gurudwaras in USA please give a visit
Okay I can't help it but I need to say. You're a wonderful, beautiful and really a respectful human being Trevor. You know how to respect any culture, its ways. Your passion for food and your love for it shows in your work. They way you showed interest in helping out and learning more amazes me every time I watch you. Thank you for making this India tour so spectacular with your simplicity and kindness.

michael hsin These people are dumb ignorant assholes
Travis is looking like a real Punjabi
And its sikh punjabi is a language
GMANE g Punjabi are a people/ethnicity. Sikh is a religion, Punjabi is the language of the Punjabi people. Most Sikhs are Punjabis like in the vid.
@@albak6552 ya thats what i said sikh is the religion but just because most sikhs are punjabis it would still be incorrect to say he looks punjabi as the turban is for a sikh a punjabi can be of any religion even an athiest
GMANE g agreed, I’m Muslim Punjabi myself
Trevor*
Punjabis are so kind, generous and Greatful! Love them so much, nobody can hate these kind Punjabis! So much to learn from them!
Well earlier it was Congress and now it's RSS which is against Sikhs.
Formani Remon Is it? How?
Lol ignorant.... this so called 'propoganda' by you is a conspiracy by RSS to create a Sikh-Hindu divide which they are trying to create since 1966.
This has only intensified under Modi's rule.
Rss is now openly provoking hindu punjabis to rebel against the Sikhs and adopt Hindi language & culture.
They have succeeded to a large extent.
Ohkkk, put your politics else where. We are celebrating Sikhism here
Formani Remon what event happened in 1966 which led you to believe that RSS were anti Sikh?
@7:06
Canadian person telling him he belongs to Canada
And punjabi's be like Ohhhh Cannedaaa😂😂👍👍
🤣🤣🤣
In fact, Out of 40 million population of Canada, Almost 20 million people are Punjabi's!!!😅
😀😀
@@Rudra-gz4hc idk if it's a joke, but the factual population of punjabi's of India and Pakistan both added makes around 2% of Canadian population. So it's around 500,000 to 700,000 on actual grounds
