The first thing that came to my mind after seeing this film is a 2008 movie called 'One Week'. I'd highly recommend that movie to anyone who likes contents like this. BTW, well done Chris you have earned a new subscriber
I just watched One Week because of your comment. THANK YOU! I likely never would have discovered the movie otherwise. It's a movie that will stick with me for a long, long time....................and I'll probably watch again after my memory fades a little.
My all time favourite movie. Touring Canada. Gord Downie in a scene playing a man with cancer. I’ve watched it 10 times. The full movie is actually on RUclips.
The day after I retired years ago, I drove my bike from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Jacksonville, Florida to Nashville, up to Ontario then back home. About 9,500 kms over 32 days. On day 2, I was curled up under an overpass in the US waiting out a torrential rain thinking “this is nuts”. I kept going anyway. You’ve explained why I continued in a way I never could.
In the world of 10 second reels, this video felt like such a breeze.. could watch this for hours.. Bonnie owner here.. looking forward to similar trips.. I've been to shorter rides in the NYC area (Seven Lakes Drive etc)
Then I’ve been the main character in many a movie, and I’ve loved every minute of it. When I didn’t have a camera, the memory shots remain in my mind till the day I depart
Ohh Man, it gave me goosebumps. The video is truely amazing dude, keep it up and keeping uploading such ride and drone shots along with your serene commentary :) Really enjoyed the video !!!
The shots, the scenery, the words, the bike, wow what a video man. I just got a Bonnie myself and can't wait to take trips like this. Just subscribed, ride safe
Hi Chris, with lots of love from Kolkata, India! I love your videos, specially this one, as it captures how I feel when I ride. Your videos are always genuine and from your heart!
Good day to you! I am a senior rider on HONDA Cross Cub from Japan. I am enjoying camping, touring and upload video. This is so nice adventure video! Awesome! Have a nice day my friend!
There's a lot of crap out there getting views for no reason. I think this great video deserve more attention than what its getting! Greetings from Pakistan! 👋
@@ChrisIronhardt Hey Chris, if you want to see some videos of Triumph riding in nice NZ scenery check out "DB Seven Moto" (youtube channel from Nelson, NZ :)
Always come back to your videos when I can't seem to get out to ride. Hope you're all well and always waiting on your next video, cheers from Thailand!!
This was a beautiful video! I live close to the Adirondacks, and saw a lot of familiar places where I've made some great memories over the years. It made me long for more adventures. Subscribed!
I cannot comprehend how much effort and retakes it must have required to get the scenic views while riding. The passion is clearly visible. Ride safe, mate. ;)
Great video. Reminded me of the great Woody Guthrie’s famous song “This Land Was Made For You and Me” and it’s seldom heard 4th verse: “As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there And that sign said "No trespassin'" But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin! Now that side was made for you and me!”
Great video, man. I'm planning on taking a long distance trip from Canada to the Southern US this summer and filming it too; this is some great inspiration. Cheers!
Awesome and full of inspiration. Enjoyed the videos you've done. Well thought out, shot and narrated. Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance in a RUclips video. Keep it coming - and come to the UK!
This was so well done, I enjoyed it very much. I came to your channel to check out bonneville se bikes but found a lot more interesting content. You have a real talent, and a cool bike 🙂 thanks for taking the time to do this.
Cheers - thanks brother. NH is one of my favorite spots to ride - the Kanc + Bear Notch Road. I road up Mt. Washington in a car when I was younger - haven’t done it on 2 wheels though
We were a mere 5 minutes too late when we got to the gate of Mt Washington. I knew at that moment I was probably never have the chance to ride it again.
Recently watched your video on valve adjusting on the bonnie. Great vid. Simplified the process very well. Included excel sheet was awesome. My shims are on the way. Cant wait to get back on my bike this fall. Its been sitting since late last year.
Amazing video. Very cinematographic. One note of caution, you are not following best practices for building fires in the middle of the woods. You will start a forest fire at some point.
Chris, I just subscribed to your channel. What an inspiring video. I found it to be inspiring because I just started to ride my 1971 Honda CB500 through northern Michigan. Touring on a 50-year-old motorcycle is an adventure all by itself, but that's what it was designed to do. I'm curious, what cameras and drones do you use? I currently only do still photography. Thanks and look forward to your next video.
Thanks Steven - for this video I used a Panasonic Lumix LX100, GoPro Hero 7, and DJI Mavic Air. Filming takes a bit more patience (having to set the camera, and then hop back on the bike and drive through the scene) - but is rewarding after it's all said and done... A 50-year motorcycle certainly sounds like any trip with it comes with a few unexpected surprises / challenges - but I would guess it's quite a very tactile experience.

How do you deal with riding motorcycle in windy places? I rode around 700 mile road trip last week from bay area through Yosemite to Twin Lakes and back a semi northern western route. Trip was great until around 40 miles from home, in Cordelia between Sacramento and into Cordelia wind suddenly became ferocious! When the wind began blowing my and my motorcycle across into other lanes of traffic on the freeway I pulled off into Cordelia near a gas station. Even then while simply trying to make a very very slow u turn wind gust blew my motorcycle and me onto the road! ENded up having to get towed back the remaining 40ish miles wind was so bad!

@@ChrisIronhardt Thanks for the reply - what jacket are you wearing? Thoughts on it for the summer (I'm here in Texas). Also - I'm 5'8" - would the Rambler be too tall?
@@Wolf-mx7xx my jacket is the Naked & Famous Guardian selvedge jacket. It’s great for summer - as long as you’re on a bike. And the bike is a Bonneville - but it has a low seat height so you’d be fine.
