Of course they gave the trucker fines and violations...trying to punish him for something that wasn’t even his fault.

In this town the police is above the law. I recorded them with my phone together with the ACO charging me with fake charges and THREATENING me, using all they had on their power to force me to sign a fake statement. I reported a found dog and they didnt want to get the dog instructing me to take the UNKNOWN dog with me, forcing me... I recorded my 911 calls and all....a week after the dog attacked me and ACO Roslyn, her big part time partner, with 5 officers made a fake report saying they found me attempting to dump the dog and the dog havent bite anyone the last 6 months. Trying to clean their bloody hands for their neglectful actions. Ticketed me with UNLICENSED, unvaccinated, nuisance and unleashed dog lol...they found me due to a 911 call and also threatened me with charge me with fake 911 calls and arrest me with break of peace to if I did not sign....They showed up without ambulance etc
..the dispatcher knew the history so all planned but I do have everything recorded with my phone from both days, hospital records, etc....surprised the ACO didnt help with the Turkey history huh, she might did lol

I counted a full 7 seconds between realizing he was gaining on the truck too fast, and impact. He didn't even attempt to brake, as evident by the dashcam and lack of skid marks. 'Not enough time to react' Lol, you mean 'Not paying attention to the road for 5+ continuous seconds? But sure, let's blame the truck driver

Drive 80 mph and passing on the right is very reckless. If anyone did that they’d lose their license. However, 5 mph is utterly inexcusable. He should’ve pulled over and gotten towed as his vehicle was unfit to be on a public road.

OK so let’s state the facts here. First he was going 18 miles an hour above the posted speed limit and he was not wearing a seatbelt. What do you think would happen to a Citizen that did the exact same thing? The Citizen would be in prison or at least pulled over and ticketed was extremely high fine and a lot of hassle. The truck was in the right lane and yes it was going well below the posted speed limit but it was climbing a hill. The truck should’ve had his four-way flashers going for driving under the speed limit but the officer had two lanes to his left that were clear with nobody behind or nobody to the sides of him why did he not move into one of the faster moving lanes? He was also on the downside of a double shift . If a truck driver was to do that they would’ve been put out of service right then and there and given A heavy fine. But apparently it’s OK for the police who are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States and protect and serve the fine citizens. Those who say that there is not a double standard need to look no further than this. It goes to show you as tragic as it may be the only reason the truck driver is not getting charged even though it was not his fault but he hast to still live with this the rest of his life is that the cop blatantly broke the speed limit was driving recklessly and did not have his seatbelt nor his Syrene or emergency lights going. He was not responding to a call whether it was emergency or nonemergency, he still had several hours left in his shift and he endangered lives by doing this. The only life that was lost thankfully was the troopers. It could’ve been much much worse if he had cross the median or ran into a school bus full of children? Then there would have been out rage everywhere. This goes to show you that cops are not above the law they must follow the law the same as everybody else. The fax show it. The police are not above the law they need to obey it Just like everybody else.

What are you talking about...most interstate traffic is going at excess of 80MPH and many un-belted. I barely ever see cops stopping people on the interstate. Man if you wanna make claims you gotta take real info into account. Go and drive on any interstate and you will see 95% of the flowing traffic is driving 15+ above the posted speed. I would consider myself to be a lead foot and I get passed all the time. Sometimes I get passed at 90mph in a 65.

I’d be terrible as the trucker there. I’d go to inspect the trailer after hearing that thump and feeling like I’d been merely tickled and discover the wrecked car underneath it and the dead man in it and that would be enough to make me feel depressed enough to drink all the alcohol in that trailer.

The Connecticut State Police (CSP) are the only agency in the USA, Canada, Europe and anywhere in the modern world where the patrol fleet, their entire fleet, has no overt high visibility markings. The CSP has no specific identifiable license plate, striping, no anti-collision chevrons, no badging or graphics, no roof mounted warning lights that allow easy recognition and identification from a distance during any weather or ambient lighting condition. By marking their cruisers the CSP would have the affect of appearing more ubiquitous than they are. The CSP will say we have lights. The lights are at the discretion of the operator, the other vehicle markings mentioned is what is missing and should be required by legislative action if not department proactivity. A Mass state police study, the Feds, Arizona DPS and others have indicated the importance of vehicle markings for the officer and the public. - Discuss.

It's illegal to drive that slow for this reason. If your vehicle isn't functioning to appropriate speed, pull over, call for repair and have your hazard lights on. If you saw a car this slow, you'd hope that they'd get a ticket.
