This has got to be one of the best series on hard core North/West coast Tassie driving filmed... Thoroughly enjoyed this awesome series. Will look forward to the next instalment of Tassie. My wife and I are looking forward to going down there soon.

i really want to do the $1000 track. but i wanna do it in my NGV on 245/75's and do it over a couple of days and clean the track up a bit😅.

The $1000 track reminds me of the old vic range track ( now closed ) in toolangi Melbourne Victoria
This will go the same way eventually. The old entrance is now gated and lots of the timber is scheduled for logging eg for Sassafrass and Blackwood trees.

Another mad episode and going past that ole white Nissan parked up on track side there should be other monuments along this synonymous track.

Great view of the track, It is so cool to see such a collection of old-growth huge trees. Definitely a challenge to bypass when they go down. Some of that mud looks pretty similar to what we have to deal with in Florida.

It's kinda funny when Tracks seem harder when its Apparently Drier. I did Not Much Help, Toolangi in the Summer early this year. All the Bad Holes were still Bad with inclusion of water that had been pushed along the Dry Ground in to the Bogs
So 37s and twin locked wasn't making it through, guess there's no point in me going in there with 33s.
We need new tracks for daily/legal 4wds
Like the current Liberal Govt promised? Ha..it's not gonna happen. In fact it's going the other way...
@@ericjohnson6802 bloody oath it is. So many have been shut down. Current tracks might just have to be maintained
@Ben Johnson that was suggested to the Tas Govt years ago, and some 4wd clubs have done track work, but it's sort of out of control now with eg bloggers seeing the pull Tassie has which increases popularity/demand/damage etc etc. Tracks need management eg like Vic...but Tas Govt is not interested. Lots of closures happened during Labour/Green Govt Inc deleting them from maps. Then there's forestry/plantations impact and indigenous community protest/land allocations.... .so it don't look good for future 4wdrivers here. Enjoy it while you can..or go to Vic like we do every year or so!

Agree..just in 2 years or so it's become much harder. 37s and 40s do that. Blokes in the area atm have comp trucks on 37s and 38s. Can only get worse with so much heavy traffic.

This is a track that i have on my list of tracks i gotta try before i die.... Not gonna lie though, it's right at the bottom of that list :) Go hard lads....
No better way to come home after spending the weekend training 100 scouts camp craft than to watch another awesome adventure.
I think some chains snow change would actually help in that track

Drove the whole track 2 years ago on 37s with no winching in GQ shorty with LSD. My point is that the track has gotten so much worse in 2 or so years given twin locked on 37s now involves much winching. Gotta be expected I guess given its popularity. Love you're work guys.
I would have loved to see you drive it 2 years ago with no winching as the group I was with cut the part that he called the winch challenge section and that was November 2019 and that section when it was open was a serious winch any way.
@Phil Hudson trust me we did, and that section was there..we did some panel damage dropping back into the track. Cars were a LS GU waggon, 2 Patrol shorties, a GU flat tray and an 80 series. Not all drove that section but my son and I managed to get up it as did the other shorty Patrol. SWB helped a lot I guess.
Some of those tree bases are bigger than the rigs. That mud plow action looks like hard work.
It’s awesome to see some good old 4 wheel driving without all the hype and 20minutes of commentary at every bog hole.

Would you rather do it with reduction gears in your gear box or without it ?
Doesn't really matter either way, reductions don't really benefit you much on this track but you are not loss having them

After seeing this through your cameras, the 24/7 guys doing it in a 1985 stock Hilux , 2'' lifted modern D-max with 32'' tires and Sooty before it was twin locked was dumb as hell, lol. You have to have a rig for the gig so to speak.....
you guys are going to need taller tires every year the way youre digging out those ruts
