I reckon this is probably up there with my favourite trip videos of yours. That whole scene swimming in the clear water/white clay area is the vibe I’m always trying to capture in a video. Awesome watch mate. 🔥🔥
what a great video ! awesome crew, Burto and Shaun are always great value, the banter between Tyler and Burto is hilarious, and Garry is a legend, love seeing Garry on the trips...
We did the frenchmans track on our way back from Cape your about 10 years ago. Fantastic experience. We crossed the Frenchmans west to east and then onto chilli beach. And yes Crocs do venture in the pascoe from time to time.
Another awesome video guys good times had by all the music is a great addition keep it up only 12 days b4 we leave for the Cape the count down has started cheers legends 😄
I got stuck going the other way in Burto's bonus line ... had no clutch pedal and couldn't get her out of gear ... was a hell of a trip crossing the Frenchmans without a clutch ... lol
Ha to all, love the Frenchman's, but gees it's changes each year. Tyler, get Burto to clean Gary's Mass Air Flow sensor at some stage. I wasn't aware of how crucial that small devise is. Did Cape, mostly in lead of convoy but did swap it up a bit hence sucking in dusty air. Ran snorkel socks and changed filters but fuel consumption was unusually up there on return run home. Eventually vehicle goes into limp mode. Switch off, wait, head off all good until under load on hills, limp mode. Mate says, have you cleaned your "Mass Air Flow Sensor"? My f*#cking what? Sure enough, I buy some Mass Air Flow "MAF" cleaner, unscrew those silly "secure torx" screws (what the hell Nissan), sure enough you can see a very miniscule film of dust on the sensor, spray it 15 times (recommended on can) let it dry, refit with Phillips Head Screws and ha presto, instant noticeable power increase, fuel economy returned, what an important little component it is. I now clean it with every filter change, every time, never overlook it. Love my ZD30 CRC troll, can totally relate to Gary's glee in his. Regards, Wealie
@@TylerThompson90 I now carry MAF cleaner with me constantly, haven't ventured to a spare yet, possibly should though. Keep the old fella's clean though.
Content's as good as it gets Tyler, top notch. How are you finding the decision to go with the tyre only Raslarr bar (no Jerrys) for the big distance trips? Looking at the same bar for my GQ and assumed jerrys are a must, but you might have convinced me.
Is there any particular reason why your dad switched his GU into 2WD while on that track? Is it to save fuel? Or is there an issue with his 4WD drivetrain?
How wide are your car axles and tyres? I ask because that mini gunshot where you all swam about 15 min mark...I wondering if my jeep will fit , its got wide offset rims..,about 125mm wider than most other 4wd's and im always scrubing and even riding up the sides of these kinds of trenches.
Called Frenchman's Track, because all Nissan drivers should make sure their reverse gear works. Just like a Frenchman's motorcycle with the German army marching towards them
top video. i just think what a lucky kid, hanging out with dad grand dad, mates and exploring the country. the best education possible.
Agree!!!
Thanks mate!

Yeah they are super important, seen them cause issues a few times now. Worthy of carrying one as a spare they just are fairly expensive
@@TylerThompson90 I now carry MAF cleaner with me constantly, haven't ventured to a spare yet, possibly should though.
Keep the old fella's clean though.
Right, nobody bother me nobody talk to me. I'm watching Tyler and the boys conquer the cape. I'll be back in about half an hour 😉😉🚙🚙🇦🇺
Haha perfect
Living the dream life
The only channel where i NEVER hit the forward button!! love your work guys!
That was awesome mate, cheers
Thank you! Cheers!
Sick ep once again 🤌 Those canon shots sure stand out 😉
Cheers mate, I might have to borrow it off ya one day
Great video as usual mate! We ended up turning around, she's a bit deep!
Thanks mate!
Nice music T.
Tyler and Ronny Dahl are the only Aussie tubers I follow now.
Fish was a Tarpon or Ox eye herring. Good fun, but not much chop on the chew.
That bonus line is where my 100 sunk 😅
Here's some good content for the Chanel... Burto!! Design some quick release guard flares so the big gq doesn't look like shit when it's flexin'😉
Burdo “ fully doof doof spec 🤠
How long until this years Fraser Island trip comes out? Spotto at the Maheno 2 weeks ago.
Haha, like myself, always follow the cape up with K'gari on the return trip sth, good spotting.
Will be posting it after the Cape Trip in a few weeks 👌
You some of those ultimate9 bilge pumps 😂
Haha yep
Awesome video. What rims does your dad have on his patrol? They look good as
9:55
How is the alternator coping with all the water?
No alternator issues

I would prefer the Jerry cans for longer trips like these cause I have to keep any Jerry's in the car. Short weekender trips don't really need them
Cheers for the feedback mate!@@TylerThompson90
Did I hear Tyler being called smelly sack wash? 🤣
Haha Sasquatch was the word
@@TylerThompson90I need to learn berto English 😂 17:05 thought he was talking about his cleaning regime
You better get him a shirt and some driving lessons too.
Tyler what reduction gears you running and what did ratio ?
4:3 diffs and 63% reductions
👌
Is there any particular reason why your dad switched his GU into 2WD while on that track? Is it to save fuel? Or is there an issue with his 4WD drivetrain?
Save fuel I think he does it, some of the Frenchman's is smooth dirt in between obstacles so can do 50km ish
What rims are on the gu? They look good
ROH assaults mate

Not sure the overall width but they are 58mm wider each side then factory, -38 wheels and GU diffs which are another -20 each side
Called Frenchman's Track, because all Nissan drivers should make sure their reverse gear works. Just like a Frenchman's motorcycle with the German army marching towards them
Can we please have subtitles constantly for the short guy??? And please get him a mask and snorkel for when he walks river crossings. Cheers
Can I get an invite???😂👏🏻👏🏻
Do you drive there with no sway bars ??
Always have the rear one connected, disconnect the front one when 4wding
Why you camp at the start of the track and go around to the other end?
Good plugs for the GME gear, can you tell Berto to stop trying to eat the microphone?
How good is it a RUclipsr putting there hand in their wallet to pay for decent music . Great trip guys
Why can’t Toyota make their doors sealed against water like the Mercedes G-Wagen
Too much Toyota tax if they do
