Was talking about this to a friend of mine awhile and it made me realize that shoulder to shoulder measurements while not taken are important. For instance both Max Holloway and Daniel Cormier are 5’11 (according to wiki) but with more distance between his shoulders, Cormier is able to tack more mass onto his frame

Actually as a former amateur fighter,ive always thought weight divisions actually hurt fighters. Ive always thought it should be height divisions, or at least a choice. With weight divisions it hurts fighters to need to cut so much weight and also it encourages tall weight bullies in certain divisions. With height divisions its safer.
this is what it should be. no more ridiculous weight cuts, no more fights cancelled due to missed weight, fighters can fight at the weight they're most comfortable at instead of having to be shredded. we'd actually get to see these fighters at peak condition rather than just recovering from starvation and dehydration
