So, awkward confession: When this show started I was in high school, but when I started high school I told myself to grow up & stop watching cartoons. However, I heard a few classmates talking about this show so I decided to sit down 1 day & watch it. Unfortunately, Not What He Seems was the very 1st Episode I watched since it was airing new the night I decided to finally start watching the show. So, not only did I get spoiled for the big twist of the 1st Season & 1/2 of the 2nd, but then the 2nd Season went on hiatus for 1/2 a year. On the bright side, I binged watched the rest of the show & fell in love with it, but I was still spoiled since so much of the show led up to this moment.
It’s crazy how the Book of Bill completely recontextualizes Dipper and Mabel vs The Future. With the reason the twins were sent off to Gravity Falls being due to their parents fighting and the fear of divorce driving their fear of going back
I like how there’s similarities to both sets of twins. Stan gets split up from his brother with the promise of a higher future. Dipper almost leaves Mabel with the promise of a higher future. But he overcomes this flaw and stays with his sister.
I watched your other video on gravity falls and it inspired me to rewatch the show and wow happy yet sad I did. Such a good show but it’s so good I wish we gotten more then 2 seasons but it’s literally written perfectly. Great show still found myself able to laugh at the jokes and get invested

I remember the commercials and waiting to watch “Not What He Seems” and bro. That shit was fucking crazy. I’m so thankful that I was able to experience gravity falls as it came out. Truly a W move on J man.
5:19 I have a theory as of why. In the Journal 3, (the real life book) Ford makes a theory that the UFO was cataloging strange phenomenons and that's why they were in Gravity Falls. And maybe in one of the planets, they found a shapeshifter and caged it for studies. But it escaped and probably attacked the aliens, causing the crash. When the UFO crashed the egg was lost and with time, showed up in that place, buried. The creature was preserved in that egg and when Ford dug it up it hatched as we saw in the flashback in “A Tale Of Two Stans”. Probably the "mom" died in the crash, but there's still the possibility of it being alive and free somewhere. Maybe even in the Enormous Extraterrestrial Craft beneath Gravity Falls, there's also the possibility of it being free in the town, disguised. That would mean the original shapeshifter is millions of years old. We also see in yellow writing on the walls in the UFO “specimen has escaped, changing forms”
7:00 he actually didn’t mean to break it. He hit the desk with his fist yes, but then when he saw it break he said “Oh no! No no no what did I do?” and tried to fix it by putting that lid back on it then he left thinking it was fixed but it was still broken
4:34 I think you missed that in Blendin’s Game at the end Dipper and Mabel spared Blendin and improved his life and got him his job back so he was actually grateful to them for it. Plus it shows in the book of bill that Bill tricked him and possessed his body so he didn’t know he was gonna go to Dipper and Mabel.
One of my favorite episodes was the one where Dipper brought that Street Fighter like video game character to life! Also I love the part in "Dipper And Mabel Vs. The Future" where Wendy basically says ALL those movies and TV shows hyping up how good High School is (ESPECIALLY High School Musical), are a Lie! Which is true! School isn't as interesting as pop culture makes it out to be and it's not "the best years of your life!"
For me, it’s hard to find best episodes of gravity Falls because I love all of them even once that wasn’t good. I still love them know that’s my opinion. 🤔😊🥰💙❤️
