- Today we install a MS3 Pro Standalone ECU into my Cobra! We were chasing down some tuning issues with the factory setup so we got together with AMP EFI and they sent us out one! I love it so far, it's crazy the things you can do with it (for example it has a built in 2-step and launch control just to name one thing)

The MS3 is awesome! I love mine. I like being able to change things on the fly!

change the cam sensor to hall effect or holley otherwise you will have startup and idle issues stock plastic sometimes don’t sync with stand alone ecu
What kind of startup and idle issues do you mean
Hey Blake great video. I’m leaning towards getting the ms3 as well. Only issue I have is I’m intimidated by doing my own tuning. You definitely made it look easy. Did you use the auto tune feature? I definitely could make an in depth video on the basics, getting the car moving isn't hard at all with the MS3. How does this compare to the Quarterhorse which also allows real time tuning but with the stock ECM? Also, does this have knock control or lean protection built in for safety of the motor?
The megasquirt has all sorts of safety functions, and it has the support for you to hook up your own knock sensors and utilize them. Haven't got my feet wet with the quarter horse alot, but I have seen them and the MS3 is on another level. Can't beat the technology of the Megasquirts or Holley systems

It has a pretty good algorithm to figure out its own fueling VE. But all in all that’s a general statement and the answer is no.
Make sure it's in neutral
My little brother was giving me shit about that too lol. I think I tend to do that before starting a car when I'm nervous, it's like I'm fidgeting. Also, Andrews newer Shelby was 3 feet in front of mine so last thing I want is to dump the clutch and dive into it lmao

Question my state still has the car pluged into the obd II port for inspection. Does this still work with that interface or do you have to find a friendly inspection station?
No, it is not emissions legal.
So, AMP EFI says this kit is for offroad use only. Also, OBD2 port is dead.

What was up with the speedometer?
Scaling mismatch in the speedo settings. Fixed it easily.
I believe it had to do with my car having a TR3650 instead of the factory T56.
Mine does the same thing..pointers on what to rescale it to?
