The terminator comes without alternator wiring. You need to buy the 20$ 1-wire pigtail to wire to a 12v ignition source. The pigtail has a resistor to reduce 12v to 5v. If you wire it 12v direct, without the resistor it will burn up the alternator. The starter is also wired separately. It's grounded through the body, and the main power is connected directly to the battery lug. Your trigger wire for the bendix can be wired to the 12v out from ignition or a simple momentary switch. The fan wires to a universal 4 pin relay. And you use holley I/O's(inputs and outputs) in this case output. It can ground trigger the relay for the fan at set desired temp. Or 12v trigger the relay at set desired temp. +or- is an option for the output in the software.
You would think for the ridiculous price I paid for this thing it would at least come with the alternator set up. Starting to regret this more and more as I get farther.

I follow Sloppy Mechanics and based on Matt’s example, I bought a Terminator X system. I replaced an aftermarket system and followed the instructions- easy installation and it fired right up. Very happy 😊

gulfdawg2806 I have a drive by cable and you can use pretty much any tb. If u have a drive by wire I’m not sure on that one. I have never messed with a drive by wire.

Will Holley ever have support for the newer transmissions like the 6/8/10L90 transmissions on gen 3/4 motors? I would pick up the terminator in a heartbeat for my project if I could do so. I'm very sick of getting gapped by fords just because the immense advantage having 10 gears has. these 10 speed transmissions are a whole different driving experience.

And the radio etc. Do I just run the harness as usual then run power to the factory fuse panel? And run everything else off that? looking to do an 06 ls4 swap in a 88 fiero getrag 5spd spd , and eliminating the knock sensors. What Terminator x and wiring harness would I be looking at?
Knock sensors are very sensitive and take a lot of time to calibrate properly. It isn't usually beneficial to spend the time and effort to use them on an engine with an aftermarket cam, etc.
Can you tune more than one table at a time? Or do you have to save then cycle key? I’ve seen a RUclips video of a car being time where you can make multiple/live changes and it was really nice.

Just curious if anyone may have an answer for My square body ls swap. Some days it runs great. Yet some times when l 1st start it... (happens often) the air fuel will jump to 35% and will hardly run. I turn it off immediately... I do this, sometimes up to 10 times, before it reads a normal 13.5% and runs fairly smooth. Also at times when just cruising around... I will feel my engine hiccup a little. I started watching it and noticed when it does hiccup it because it jumps to a 25-35% air fuel mixture, just for a split second but then runs fine. Not sure what could be causing my issues... Any help for this jar head would be appreciated.

I was about to order The Terminator MAX for my 5.3 truck motor with 4160e. I want to utilize drive by cable and I'm confused which one I need. I do know it's a 24 tooth. Also, when I smoke this 60e, I will upgrade to an 80e. Do you just have add on plug to keep the same controller?
Hey, Randy. You'll need a Terminator X Max kit with transmission control. Just select your crank sensor (24x or 58x) and what injector connector you'll need. 4L60 and 4L80 use the same transmission control harness.

6 and 8 speeds are junk and 10 speeds all you hear about is them always searching for gears

this kit comes with a plug for manifold air temp. it can be installed in the intake tube or in the manifold.
