It can go anywhere you like. It runs independently of the sim.

Flight control replay does the same job but it's 15 quid. Deffo would recommend this instead

Yes I used this software since the ver 0.7 and now the developer came with a new version (0.14) with a new function added for AI aircraft. small software but very nice. I didn't have any problem with it as I use it on a mid-range PC.. (not a rocket pc yet :D) but still working fine. Thank you for the video which I learned some awesome features I didn't try before. NB: This records the position and state of your aircraft in the simulator and allows you to play back your flights or sections of them in the sim. It does not create video files. You will need a screen recorder for that.

Very late reply sorry about that but you can use a screen recorder called OBS. it’s completely free.
I bought FCR and I have been suffering with CTDs with it but this awesome free tool, 0 CTDs and free! I am sure the developer will address the issues with the smoothness and things like that but really, highly recorded!
I was about to bite the bullet and play the 15 euro for the payware tool but you saved me money and I don't think there's any higher level of appreciation.
yes finally i can watch my landings and see what i gotta improve on, i used other flight recorders and this one has better ease of access than other ones
This is a great add-on, which works every time. I did buy Flight Control Replay and had to ask for my money back as it didn't work without crashing flight sim.

Thanks for this. Just got the replay tool to add some perspective for my recordings.
FlightControlReplay is smooth and it has a lot of features like Camera change automatic , Video rendering , speech reco keyboard and xbox controller mapping

I've been using this for over a year and it is very easy to use Yeah might have its corks but it's a great recorder and replay function. I also pinned it to my task bar so it is very easy to open up

I use this all the time now to make my flying video's, easy to use and produce some great shots at different angle's👍👍
How do you extract a video out of the saved file?
You don't. You'd need to use it in conjunction with a screen recorder to do that.
this is cool for a bad landing or bad take off you can repeat to get the best out of it

Best to pin the client exe to the tasks bar and bring it up with the windows key.
Only reason why i want this is hecause id love to just refly flights ive taken irl and then see if the passenger view is accurate

I really want to record an full aircraft start up, but I guess it only works if you are already UP and ready...Is it possible to record another way while engines are OFF?

Looks great! Especially for freeware. Quick question. If I only want to record landings, is it possible to launch the .exe and hit record mid-flight like during an approach or do you have to launch and start recording at the beginning of the flight for it to work?
It’s possible to record your flights at any time from take off to landing! No need to restart

for some reason, the allerons, trim flaps and stuff doesn't work replay. all flight control surfaces are not working.

Spoiler and aileron work in a wrong direction during replay. But hey, its free and cool!

Thank you for the video, and excuse my ignorance, but... I presume you still need to record the game by screen recorder like shadowplay or OBS if you want to file content in video, right?
No problem. Yes, that's correct. This only allows you to replay within the sim.

To make the Flight Recorder pop on top like in the video use Alt+Tab

Is there going to be an option to load , or is there allready naybe, the option to load multiple files in one sequence, so you can build your own formation flights? That was a very nice feature in fsrecorder back in the fsx days.
there is no .exe file. Just a "FlightRecorder.Client" file and when i double click it, nothing happens
I noticed the gear did not retract
I like this recorder but for some reason it crashed me like I was still flying from the original stop point I’m confused lol

Yeah, it's not exactly been shouted about! I only found out about it when someone mentioned it on my Discord.
I noticed that it does not record you raising the gear .... So if I wanted footage for a video, I set the thing to record while I carry out my flight and then just stop the recording and save it. Then later, when I want to view the recording, I launch the Sim and load the saved recording and replay it - whilst capturing the footage using the video capture utility that I normally use while the replay is running? Is there a limit to how long it records for? I guess you also need to reposition the aircraft where you started from before replaying the file? Obviously, this is VERY useful for videos, if I can understand how to get the best from it. Very nice video - well done. Lee
It should record the gear. I'm not so sure what is happening in this video, but if you really have issue with gear, please let me know (best is via a GitHub issue).
There is no hard limit, but if you have any performance issue on replaying long flight, please also let me know.
You don't need to reposition before replaying, the tool will move the aircraft for you. However if your aircraft jumps to a place far away, scenery might take a while to load. You might want to press Pause and wait for all the scenery to load in and Resume.

It’s a fantastic tool but it has some issues with animations not recording. The main one being that it doesn’t show the gear being retracted. It kinda takes away from the realism of a perfect takeoff.
It should show the gear animation. May I know which aircraft are you replaying with?
@@nguyenquyhy Hi. I'm using the default A320 Neo. I tried experimenting a bit today, and I noticed that the gear actually is retracting on the replay. However, I noticed for some reason if the drone camera is too far away (like in this video) it won't show the animation. But if I reset the position of the camera close to the aircraft, the gear can be seen retracting.
Great! Thank so much its awesome and a feature the game is missing. I’m finding out that when loading a past replay the sound of the plane is absent. Any idea how to solve this?
I'm afraid not but have you tried loading the plane at an airport before replaying?
quick question, say you save a replay and want to show it to a mate some days later, you would have to be in the same plane that you were when you recorded the replay?
or can you be in a propeller aicraft and watch a jet replay?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I've only ever used it to record takeoffs and landings.
I didn't put any hard restriction, but I haven't tested really long flight either. I know that some has tried with 3-4 hours.
So there's no editing/clipping capability on this tool? And can they be saved as other file types? MPG4 WMP?
No. It's not a video recorder. It allows flights to be replaced within the sim, which you can then record with a screen recorder if you wish.
I tried this out meself works wonders just a quick question what does the export button do if you can also save the file? Isn't export just the same as saving it?
I honestly don't know - never tried it!
I have an issue with it, normally i have around 35-40fps hit when I'm recoding with this software my fps goes to 20-25 and it's unplayable
I did everything but when I go and open it it tells me I have to run it why is that and I'm trying to open flight recorder client but I do not have one with the EXE at the end of it
Does it records system inputs? Like lights, engine starts, flaps, thottle?

In PMDG it does not show flaps, slats and gear movement. Do you know any software for PMDG B777 ?
There's another one called SkyDolly, plus the built in one if you turn on developer mode. Can't vouch for either though as I haven't tried them.

Hello sir! thank you so for your wonderful tutorial. But I have one problem I set up everything as you said but I can not move camera position. My camera focus is always on my aircraft. I couldn’t set up my camera to a stationary position on the ground or tower to see my pane taking off or landing. Would you help me please thank you so much ❤❤

Don't record the whole screen, just record the MSFS window.
Is there a way to see a replay without having set up record like it worked on fsx ?

I've no idea why this might be happening, but it'd be worth asking the dev over on his github page or flightsim.to. He may be able to help.

@filberfiles Would I be able to capture footage before the world update 12 then play the recording after the world update is installed and have the new update 12 show in the replay? Basically, I want to capture before and after footage using the same flight but not sure how I go about doing this.
Interesting question. Yes, I think you should be able to do this. The only thing that might mess it up would be any elevation changes.
