YEESS, lol since i dont have a PC i just spend my day doing schoolwork and watching you.
It is not working for me:( i did not get kickad out of the cockpit:(
Make sure you save a custom view first then change the value on that custom view.
I honestly need friends like you. Just like casually do a wing view tutorial and share it on RUclips...oh man the blessings the universe will bring your way....awesome share. Thanks a million
just came across your video, and it is an absolutely fantastic help, playing with views and all sorts of cameras was always tricky for me, I can't say how much stress is saved by these quickviews, thank you!
I searched and searched and gave up on this. Then just by chance was reading up on another board where where someone asked for this and a person linked your video. What a find! Thanks a lot!
This is the best custom wing views tutorial I've seen. Great video!!
Very helpful and so easy! As an extra precaution, since it's a lot of work to save views in any number of planes, it's a good idea to copy the saved camera files on a jump drive or on the cloud just in case you'll ever need to reinstall the sim software on a new computer set up or if something corrupts.
Excellent idea.
For those of you who have Steam and can't find the files and looking for a solution, set up a view first with a bogus view then search for C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes, if the only thing you see is state, then you haven't done this and this is why make sure you set up your view first so in the file it updates with your set number then you can set up your real view instead of the one in the cockpit I hope this helps.
Thanks!
This is the reason I continue to play msfs2020, I get to really feel like i'm in a plane and get to go anywhere I want on the plane while it's flying!
Enjoy.
@@XP72official I feel the same thing in FSX lol
we just need a camera plugin like x camera... man that would make life easy :D
I'm very happy about how you explained it so well and also how you showed the file location!
7 months later and I still used this, thank you so much, instant sub
Thanks for taking the time to do this XP. A big help to me and numerous others I am sure.
YESSSS!! Finally a good tutorial! Thank you very much Captain! Have a good day
Great tutorial, took a bit more time since the A32NX is now its separate aircraft in-game, but everything is basically smooth after that, many thanks!
Great assistance and thanks very much for this! Having the ability to load aircraft without having to close down the sim will probably be a useful tip also.
Just to say that you need to have set up at least one customer view before it generates the needed line with the axis to edit in the camera.cfg file - in fact in some aircraft if you don't have a customer view set then no camera.cfg file will be there at all
Thank You! You just solved my question about wing views. Thank you for being so thorough, it was so pleasant to hear and watch your tutorial as if you were here in person to show me how to do it. I subscribed!
Thank you.
FINALLY! Someone explains it simply and straight forward. Cheers fella! 👍
Thanks man. Glad it was understandable.
Thanks XP! Ive been meaning to get wing views for a while now!!!
I don’t have a “Translate Cockpit View Up” and “Translate Cockpit View Down” option that I can assign a key command to, just left, right, forward, and back. Which option is up and down?
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. I used comma and period for these and MSFS2020 didn’t like that and made them “Lockable” whatever that means. Changed these to Up and Down arrow and made comma and period forward and backward and all worked fine. By the way, there is a camera.cfg in the Community Folder or wherever you keep those files. Don’t modify that one as it gets written over when the FBW updates. Learned that the hard way.
Hey XP, happy new year. Thanks for the tutorial. Got this sim on day of release but couldnt get used to all the keyboard functions for camera views.
Kept going back to X-Plane 11 where camera view set up felt more intuative, but having followed your instructions, it all now seemless.
Now i need to sort out excessive jerking when using my Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals. It doesnt matter what i change in sensitivity settings, Pedals react exactly the same every time in the sim taking the joy out of the sim. They work perfectly in X-Plane 11. Keep up the good work.
I had a similar problem and fixed it recently. For the rudder controls, the default settings set the rudder up with the pedal and the stick. I went into the settings for the stick and disabled the rudder control so it was only controlled by the pedals. This fixed the glitch. Hopefully this works for you.
GREAT VIDEO You should do a A landing competition!!
Thank you so much! This was very helpful! Please do more stuff like this. I would like to see where to get and how to install the liveries.
Hey I already got the Xplane camera setup from another youtuber, but this is good because can also go out the acf
XP, first of all, this was a great video. Very, very helpful and I've used your technique on a number of aircraft. The only one that gave me a problem was the Asobo 787. Here's the issue: I can save all of the custom views and when I load the plane, they all work great. Here's the problem: If I save ANY custom views, doing so completely fouls up my autopilot LNAV functionality. As soon as I activate LNAV, my bank angle becomes close to 90% and I fly in circles. For the life of me, I can't figure out the connection between the two. I've retested this 3 times. If I delete the config file altogether, LNAV works fine. If I save even one custom view, I lose control over LNAV. In fact, in one flight, I engaged LNAV without any configured custom views. Worked great. Then, I save just one custom view and the LNAV went haywire. Any suggestions? It's the only Asobo airliner where I have had this problem. However, I have not flight tested all of the airliners yet. It works fine with the A320 Neo and the 747. IDK about the CRJ's. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Thanks man. A few things maybe come to mind. Make sure it’s the correct camera config file. Make sure that the key binds for the camera are not also for the autopilot. Hopefully this helps.
@@XP72official I'll take a look at the keys binds. I'm virtually certain that I'm using the correct camera config file. Is in the same folder nesting as the other aircraft. Thanks for replying so quickly.
Thanks so much..Hopefully someone’s working on a custom view add-on that will be even easier.. Going to try your way..Awsome
The people get what they want. At last. Big up XP.
Thanks man.
XP brother great tutorial, watched once was able to easily set my custom views I was looking for these thank you man!
Definitely helped! Thanks for taking the time to make this. Greatly appreciated.
Brotha this was an excellent tutorial. precise, and in detail with explanation. Everyone other video on youtube just rifles through the steps! Thank You for sharing and taking time to develop and post how to videos!
Just what I have been looking to set up, thanks for the tutorial I will set this up tonight 👍
Brilliant! Thanks. But for some reason on my system the file to modify isn't in "Local" but in "Roaming". Either way it works.
Thank you. I´ve seen many explanations for this. Yours is much easy
Next update... remove your mods from your community folder first ... thank you very much XP keep up the good work
Thank you man
I finally did this And I have to say these custom wing views makes the experience 10 times better! It triggers the same feeling I get when I fly in real life. It’s great because I’ll fly out in the morning, work on my work laptop and have a beautiful wing view at the same time. MSFS should of done this by default instead of having you jump through all these loop holes.
Thanks XP! Been enjoying the channel alot! Very useful tutorial. Thanks again!
Appreciate it.
Great video! My complements to you on your style of delivery and instruction. This one is saved as a favorite. Thanks
Glad it helped you. Thanks.
first tutorial that actually helped
Thanks man, it was so helpful, i saved all my views by cntrl alt number and load them by alt number, it was too much, i didnt know we could just change them and load them by just number pad, appreciate it.
Oh yeah, makes it way easier.
Bro thanks a million for your great tutorial the best one i came across i was trying to customize the views in the pmdg with no luck for weeks really a torture until i came across here in your channel, Finally i i did it thanks for your great tutorialkeep the good work, by the way i subscribe to your channel, thanks again bro😍!
Hey

Pilots should not be there.
Can you due a fligth from Orlando to San Juan in a A320
Thanks,
Your tutorial is clear as crystal.
Figured out my mistake, working now.
That helped me ALOT! Doing some views for the new PMDG DC-6. Thanks so much man!
I am not sure what 3 people saw in this video to vote a thumbs down. I have been looking for this exact tutorial since the day this sim released. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this and show us how this is done. It is much appreciated!
Thanks
Excellent tutorial. You're great dude!!! Crystal clear explanations......simple as that. Congrats and keep up the good work!!!!!!
Thanks
Very useful, thanks. MSFS does seem a backward step in some areas such as cameras and controller config.
Thanks for the video, XP. Much appreciated!
I don’t understand this should come default on FS2020 this don’t take much Time to do that and it comes default in the simulator
Thanks for this video I will have to check this out tomorrow
One of the best explanations!!! Left a like.
Thanks so much for that great video. What would we do flying without wing views.
True!!
Thanks ! Excellent video, I’m gonna try it. If you could please make the same video for the 787 and 747 aircrafts, this would be fantastic. Thanks
Will do.
@@XP72official thanks for this tweak
You're the man XP! Thanks a bunch!
Great Tutorial and very helpful. I have the steam version so the file system is a bit different but this video helped regardless. Thanks!
How did you find the location of the A320 adobo? I’m having trouble finding it.
If you have the game through steam it will be on a different location. Not sure where.
@@XP72official i eventually found it with help from another video. thank you for the wing views though my friend they look sick!
Thanks for doing this tutorial, big help
Damn I needed this tutorial! Amazing video
XP Very informative well done. Now I will have take the time to do this. One question though how do I get different liveries for my aircraft?
Google “mega livery pack” for MSFS
Working awesome ! Really good tuto, THX XP !
New to msfs so pleased to find your tutorial. Brilliant instructions. I am all setup thank you. I have subscribed so will check out your other posts. Again many thanks
I appreciate it.
Hey @XP72 ! Can we add more combinations of views apart from the basic NUM 1-9? Like Shift+NUM1 and so on? Or are we just limited to those 9 views which we can save and load from settings? Appreciate the video, loved it ; )
Great question. The answer is I really don’t know, but you can try it and let me know. Thanks man.
This was sooo helpful, thank you! How did you move forward/backward once you were outside the cockpit? That's what I can't figure out! lol
You have to program your buttons to do that.
You're an amazing teacher!
Thanks man. Glad the video helped.
soooo clear, thanks man for real
Awesome, thank you for making this tutorial!
Excellent info. Thank you sir.
haha dude you and me have exactly the same key setup and views thats crazy
Lol. It’s a natural layout
I didn't know Jamie Foxx flies with XP-11. Great tutorial btw! Sad that sounds still coming as if you're in the cockpit, is that correct?
Hi, thanks for a brilliant tutorial. I have set up my external views and mapped them to my number pad. I have noticed that autopilot does not work now. Is that something I have done wrong?
Bro, mad props....thanks so much, fantastic information
Bro this helped a lot, thank you definitely leaving a like
XP thank you so much
Great video, just got yourself another subscriber.
Thanks you.
Nice views man but once am outside the plane i can not move very far with my d pad x box controller like you do to make that wing view in the cabin at the back window
You have to use the keys for the cockpit cam to move around outside.
@@XP72official Ok i check it out bro how did you get to the back window for the wing view'?
Just move there once outside.
good stuff @XP, thank you!!
Wow, what a great tutorial, got my subscription
Thank you very much man !
Nice explained, very good job. Thank you very much.
Great Vid...thanks a Mil!!
Awesome tutorial, thank you!
Appreciate it
my man! ty
wish they had cabins in the planes tho little disappointing
True. Payware hopefully will have it.
Maybe soon when the performance will get improve as cabins will use some system resources.
Great vid! Is there a way to set up a tower view live as opposed to in replay?
Don’t think so
thank you bro this is amazing
Great Video. Did you rename your default keyboard, or is that a new profile? Thanks.
I deleted it altogether.
Fantastic, thank you!!
Thank you buddy!
You are genious man, could u see if u can tweak for replay mod please, we ve been waiting endlessly fo MS to enable this option.
Wish I could.
Lovely tutorial, the XP shirt is a nice cherry on top! :-)
Thanks bro. Glad it was clear to understand.
just joined ur discordbut having problems doing what u showed in video maybe i catch u in ur channel nice clean video though
XP, thanks for the videos! Do you need to resave your original camera.cfg file after saving your wing views?
Thanks
Thank you for your great video! Does this also work in VR?
Not sure
Many thanks for this. Excellent tutorial. Best regards ...
Awesome! Thanks
Thanks XP!
😎 THANKYOU XP 👍🙋♂️👏👏👏👏👏✈️...Hope you Had a Marvelous CHRISTMAS & Happy New Year Too !!!👍🎊🎉🎈
Thank you man, Enjoy the holidays as well.
Very nice XP72, that saves a lot of trial and error. One question, do you know how you can move the camera back and forward. The arrow keys on my keyboard are only for left, right, up and down. Is there another way to move the camera? Thanks! Great tutorial. Learning from the pros!
I’ve assigned the . and , keys to move back and forth just like it is for X-Plane users. Hope this helps.
@@XP72official it helps almost. Which functions from the camera view list in FS2020 did you assign to the . and , ?
Don’t remember off the top of my head. Hoot look at it when I get back to my computer.
Amazing video just what I was look for. I have a question how do you move when you are outside the cockpit?
Setup keyboard arrow keys to do that.
Thx!
Great video, thanks very much
This is brilliant! Thanks so much :)
