I’m an INFJ and my boyfriend is an ISFJ so this was fun to watch. You can see the love and understanding you two share with each other. I do love researching though and can do it for hours especially if it’s a topic I’m really interested in
I am an INFJ married to an ISFJ. We are at our 22 year mark and it’s been a journey. It’s been good and bad but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. My daughter is an INFJ so it’s interesting to see my personality in her.
This is so sweet. I am an INFJ and my partner is ISFJ but it is me who can research things for hours and my partner skim reads and can handle about five minutes of research haha. I love to learn.
There's definitely a language between the two of you that is totally unspoken....very nice! Also, I can SEE clearly that helping people realize something greater within in themselves is a passion you both carry. You two really are a fascinating couple.
The tenderness I felt watching this video made me so happy. The category of the relationship aside (marriage), the way you both interact with each other made me miss my sister. I will Skype her tomorrow.
@BeetleBUMxX yes, it would be. I can relate when you say that you wish someone like you, because understanding without words makes a relationship easier, complete. This tuning is fulfilling but I think we can grow faster with a person very different from us thanks to his/her different point of view and way of perceiving. So you can marry your INFP friend and have some advantages anyway :)
What a lovely couple. It's so obvious you both have a strong relationship and really care for each other deeply! Your wife has such a beautiful spirit :) Great video!
As an INFJ I've always thought these 2 personalities would go well together. INFJ and maybe INFJ also. INFJ and ENFJ too. Another INFJ and INTJ. I like the idea of INFJ and ISFJ the best though. I had a feeling that it would be nice for the ISFJ to understand how the feeling behind the words matter, and for the INFJ to become more grounded in the present reality or the sensory world.
Absolutely! My husband is an ISFJ and keeps me grounded particularly when my mind is looping non stop about stuff...he is refreshing to be around and is a good listener. Been married 28 years and I appreciate him so much!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful relationship. Scott you have a smile that won't stop, different from your normal videos. INFJs have a unique love glow. I find when I'm around someone I love I have a glow no one else sees. But a few times in this vid you are oozing such joy you look a little stoned ;). I wrote that above before she asked the smile question. Lol. No please don't try to be more emotive, INFJs just have natural contemplating thinking face. To see you in this natural way kinda makes it alright for us INFJs to show that part of ourselves, when we aren't concerned about making other ppl feel good with our warm smiles.
Oh my... Hi, Kate. I’m ISFJ and I can relate myself to you. I’ve been dating with INFJ man for 8 months now. Everything went well and smooth. Hopefully it will last. Thanks for making this video. I really love watching you both and I appreciate things as lovely couple. I didn’t expect that INFJ and ISFJ are compatible. 😍💕
Im an INFJ, my boyfriend is ISFJ and has so many lovely qualities, but he shuts down a little bit if I try to explore topics that are outside of his realm or a little deep, I find that he will often stay quiet until I move on entirely!
i noticed a lot of comments about the research... i'm infj and i am just like you Scott. i can spend hours immersed in subjects I'm obsessed with but that is a very different thing to me, a passion rather than research.
I'm an INFJ and am just finding my girlfriend is an ISFJ. This video is gold. The only interesting difference is that I find I love research, where Scott got tired after 10-30 mins. I helped my girlfriend research something that helped her for nearly 3 hours, just so we could both better understand it.
Hi Alex, the research question needed further explanation in our video. In the video I / we were thinking about specific types of research - namely research the best product to buy or holiday destination etc. This sort of research doesn't interest me much, but Kate could do it all do. In saying that, if there was a product I was interested in I would probably be happy doing more research on it. But a lot of the everyday items that one buys I would probably to a little looking and then buy something, were as Kate likes to read the fine print and do much more compare and contrasting, and wanting to learn everything about the product(s). This drains me. Because Kate loves to research things, I leave it with her and I focus on other things. When it comes to researching more intuitive ideas and concepts I am a fish in water when it comes to this. In fact I do this all day both actively and passively. I hope that gives a clearer explanation to that part of the video.
I think Scott won't research for long because the subject matter is not as interesting. When it is, the research will be lengthy. Or, infj's don't like technology that much? not sure
@@matilda4406 Based on my study of Ni and how I experience it (I'm an ENFJ), Ni tends to be focused on narrowing options down and finding a single outcome/pattern. It tends to be uncomfortable for us to have a lot of unknowns or for us to have to consider multiple options for too long. When doing research into products, I tend to try and figure out what features are most important to me and quickly compile a list of the most promising options, compare those, and pick a final winner. My INFJ father is the same. My ESTJ mother, on the other hand, will spend days, weeks, and sometimes even months casually looking into specifics and it can drive my dad and I a little crazy lol. We tend to have a mentality of "research, form a plan, execute said plan". Indecisiveness is one of my pet peeves.
Hey y’all thanks for sharing I understand you made this over 2 years ago but what you said was really helpful. Especially when you mentioned talking to the camera I totally relate. I never understand why it’s hard to express emotion when I’m by my self speaking to the camera as u explain it’s your ni that takes over. I was trying to explain this in a video basically saying I try so hard to be transparent and share what I’m trying to explain in my head but it comes off monotone or that’s what I feel vs what ppl perceive it to be. If you can’t tell by now I’m a infj and the reason I’ve watched your video is I’ve found my self to be attracted to a isfj and I’m trying to teach her a thing or to about mbti but baby steps I don’t want to overwhelm her. Simply I expressed my feelings to her and left it at that wish me luck bc I’m not sure what’s gonna happen lol. But anyways like I said thanks for sharing if your interested in who I am watch my video on why I make videos you may find it interesting and also relevant.

I don't think researching is MBTI type specific. In the video I think we were talking about a specific type of research. I (INFJ) also like to research things, but I think INFJs and ISFJs like to research different sorts of things.
When it comes to researching topics I am interested in I could also do it for hours. Kate (ISFJ) likes to research many things, for eg if we need to buy something Kate can spend a lot of time researching different brands, pricing etc in a lot of detail. This sort of research allows Kate to file away the info for later retrieval. For me this amount of detail would for the most part not be filed away or remembered. For me I would spend 10 -15 mins depending on the item and then make a choice. Ni and Si differences.
For me, I could research psychology related topics or ideas, theories, metaphor etc for a long time. This is not to say that there is not some overlap of ISFJs interested in psychology or topic related to the human condition, or INFJs interested in learning a lot about more sensory related topics.
