Twisted metal 4 was fun as a kid but the only game would really seem bad would be tm3 especially with its cutscenes as they don't really match up with the bios as much and doesn't make sense why some of the characters are there. Unless you're comparing gameplay it's sort of a mix as tm4 has bugs like instantly killing opponents through portals with proximity mines and etc. tm3 probably would probably be better gameplay wise but I would prefer tm4 with the amount of content it contains, convenience of saving to memory cards, custom cars, and more.
Part of me hopes that they'll put all the twisted Metal games on multiplatform because imagine if they made a new one and it was stuck on a $1,000 console
You should make a video ranking all the Twisted Metal games in a tier list or something.
Glad to see Azulão(BlueTag) doing a colab, hes nice! Great video! TM3 and 4 are so under appreciated. They are the only ones that feel like an actual free for all car combat tournament, instead of a 1xAll hovers disguised as cars "tournament". So, yeah, I don't like that vehicles can turn in an instant while being stationary. Makes the games feel like turrets combat.
I actually liked the gameplay of Black, one of the reasons being that in Europe (my version), the whole story was cut. Good that the cutscenes can be found on YT. I especially liked Yellow Jacket.
But without using weapons I have to say Carmageddon max damage was the better game, FlatOut 4 Total Insanity and FlatOut Ultimate Carnage is still fun and great! I feel Wreckfest is Flatout 4 remastered but still not better because it doesn't have the extra gameplay modes.
I just got twist metal on my ps3 and my ps1! I'm also happy I found twisted metal black for my ps2 😁

i honest to god believe if twisted metal first released with their small brawl variant i think we would've gotten maybe like two-three sequels just off that alone. the game was fun and could've been its own thing. felt like the twisted metal title was kinda just slapped on it almost.

Great retrospective man. Miss Twisted Metal. Hope it makes a comeback soon. It definitely has a place in this battle royal focused/ modern game world
10:44 you unlock piecemeal by beating the game with all characters, you get trapper just by finishing the game once "im not 100% sure, but im sure you get piecemeal by winning with all chacters
