Hi Michael, both these Locos are capable of pulling more wagons so I will try another test later in the year. The Mehano 4-8-2 was able to pick up speed easily with over 1.750 Kg in tow. Glad you liked the video. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Excellent hauling "beasts", or should I say "black beauties"? I guess they're both, double role, the beauty and the beast. Anyway, their pulling strength is awesome. Thank you for the video, Paul, best wishes!
Hi Chris, yes these are "Black Beauties" , They can pull much more than on this test especially the Mehano Mountain Express. Maybe I will try another haul later this year. All the very best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Al, These Locos and can pull far more wagons than on the test, I might do another one later this year. Thanks for the kind comments. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
@@LaytonJunction Hi Al, good to hear your better and starting work again. I just watched your latest layout update, I like the plan you have. I understand the need to make it easier for you to maintain the tracks by moving them forward. Lookiing forward to the next update. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Anthony, Thanks for the very kind comments. These Locos are capable of pulling many more wagons maybe another test later on in the year. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, indeed what an amazing pulling test! By the way, I think the last one on the second train is a guard van, as most European wagons have their own individual brakes. I think I have heard somewhere that this guard van often comes just behind the locomotive to guard the load and warn the driver if necessary.
Hi Erik, the Mehano Loco can pull much more I simply didnt have any more Mineral Wagons. The Fleischmann is also able to pull much more. I have a number of European Wagons with the little hut on the rear to protect the guard from rain when applying brakes. Thats interesting how they would use some of these box vans to guard the load and warm the driver. Amazing what they did years ago before air brakes. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Good performers there Paul. I don't have a Mountain class yet. I am on the hunt for a Jouef version, but if not, a Mehano will do nicely. Any loco that can pull over 20 wagons is okay in my book. Steven.
Hi Steven, These are very good pullers, both capable of hauling more wagons. The Mehano pulled 1.769Kg with ease so another test later this year. Good luck in your search for Jouef of similar size, it would be good to see one in action. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Beautiful image at minute 03:40, splendid locomotives and wagons but do not abuse these tests (mine is just a piece of advice) because locomotives suffer a lot. A big like. You gave me a great idea when I saw the chosen mounting kits. I have mounted a Messerschmitt Bf 109 Emil and in a few days I will mount an Italian one. I have not taken English and American models because over the years I have mounted almost all of them. The most beautiful one my dad did was an Airfix Halifax in the 60s.Big like a hug. Alberto 🚂🚂🚂🚂👍👍👍👍🚂🚂🚂🚂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Alberto, I always try to not overload the Locos, as you say the Locos can suffer damage. The Mehano Mountain Express was able to accelerate easily with 21 heavy wagons (1.769 Kg) so no strain on it. The Fleischmann is also capable of pulling a lot more. You must have a large fleet of Aircraft now it would be good to see them all on display. Good to hear you still have the Halifax your Dad made in the 60s, great memories. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, It was great watching the locos haul all the wagons 👍 especially when they ran through the station together, awesome 👌👍👍🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Hi Windy, These Locos can pull much more so maybe another test later this year. They did look good running together. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, super video again. Thumps up and keep it up. Cheers Andre 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️😀😀😀👍👍

Good one Paul. Wonder if I could do similar with my Warship Powerful? Food for thought as they say. Very good. All the best.
Hi Tim, I am sure your Warship can pull a lot of wagons its a powerfull Loco for sure.
Give it a try these tests are a bit of fun.
Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
