It’s time for a Porsche vs Lamborghini showdown!
Mat’s brought along one of his favourite SUVs of all time, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and he’s facing off against a Lamborghini Huracan Performante!
When it comes to performance, these two are pretty evenly matched! Under the Porsche’s bonnet, you’ll find a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can put down 640hp & 850Nm. What’s more, this performance SUV has had a load of work done to it over the standard Cayenne, such as improved stability & launch control, so it’s 100% ready for this showdown!
Naturally though, being an SUV, it’s not the lightest, tipping the scales at over 2.2 tonnes!
In contrast, the Lamborghini weighs in at just 1,500kg. Its engine is also bigger, a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, no less! However, in terms of power output, it matches the Porsche, producing 640hp & 600Nm!
So how will this play out - will the lighter Lambo cross the line first? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

You should add to drag races an “average car” (a honda civic, camry, Cx-5, Highlander, etc…).
Just to have a perspective of how fast these high performance vehicles are.
This race isn't about gtr and perf. It was about naturally aspirated and turbochargers.

Was there ever an optimized GT-R in a race that performed well?
Rarely see one in western car scene. Just parts upgrades, computer tweaks and already making 1000hp+ with obnoxiously loud exhaust but not actual overall balance tuning with deep development at the track. That's why i only trust tuned gtr from actual japanese tuning house company like nismo, mine's, hks, greddy-trust, or top secret, etc.

The difference between the first version and now is insanely big. The gap is gigantic, not even comparable. A bone stock new one is way faster this tuned one on this video.
Not even to mention Nismo's versions. Newers versions are facelifts and at the same time performance, more power, way lighter, way less unsprung weight refinement and chassis *upgrades* in *every way.* And even by that the R35 still looks fresh and agressive. GT-R is not a ''make up'' machine. And i am clearly not the only one to say that, screw the haters that knwo nothing about this car.. And i am clearly not the only one to say that. But a car to make up with* performance and functional parts all over the car.* Nissan upgrade the car every year performance wise. That's how you make a timeless and memorable car. Not changing the design every year for nothing I say only *facts* verifiable all over the Internet. The GT-R is function over form, and everyone know *the difference between a old GT-R and a new one alone is phenomenal.*

Matt, the suspension of a car is actually more important than you think for a drag race. A good suspension setup can mean no wheel spin at all on a start

I’d have the Porscher Cayenne Turbo GT, because the Bentayga is too ugly, the Urus isn’t quite there yet and the Aston Martin DBX isn’t a good value for money.

@@kingboss6113 For 300 000 Euros, I expect something more than just a rebadged Audi RSQ8. The Cayenne is a much better car overall. Same with Bentayga, which is a posher VW Touareg/Audi Q7 with ridiculous price tag

@@lmao6769_ Because this was a pre facelift GTR from somewhere around 2009-12 i would guess, the new GTR nismo stock with 600 hp beats this tuned gtr in the quarter.
